  1. Marian has really stepped into it now - she attended the tea as a pseudo-mother, and now the little girl wants her as an actual mother. I would be so annoyed if father and daughter tried to force me to ride with them. Peggy's boss should have known better - what man in that time would open the door half-undressed? His discussion with Booker was interesting too, I understand his anger at playing nice with former slave owners. I also understand why Booker and his wife are playing nice with them. The newly named Enid should have know better than try and stir up shit with someone who hasn't done anything to her. Now she's the focus of Bertha's ire, and anything could happen now. The valet's son in law is very cruel. I really hope the terms all came from him, and not the daughter. Agnes deserves to eat alone for dinner, since she's been such a shit to her family members. I hope Ada goes ahead and get married to get away from such a stifling environment.
  2. I liked what I have seen so far. One thing that caught my attention in the first episode - the cab door automatically opened and closed. Is that actually a thing? I really liked the slice of life of Godzilla alerts and everyone being on their way after the false alarm. I can't even imagine living like that. Of course, there's always that guy who thinks major events are hoaxes. It was surprising to see that a secret family was living in the Tokyo apartment. If I was Cate's mom, I would be pissed that my daughter was in another country and kept hanging up on me. I know in the movies people knew about Monarch, but I guess the show is set before hand?
  3. I was tearing up throughout the episode. I was so angry when Mou Mou tried to continue the narrative that Dodi and Diana were in love, and even tried to say he was "brothers in sorrow" with the Royal Family! What the hell is wrong with that guy? I really hope that he didn't try to put any kind of items inside Diana's casket in real life. I was shaking my head at the shrine at the end. What's wrong with Philip too? He didn't want Diana to be flown home on the Royal plane. I thought he liked her. I didn't understand the Queen's reluctance to addressing the public. Even if they were divorced, she's still the mother of the future king. It was interesting to see the funeral process for Dodi. I saw they removed his body from the coffin, what did they do with it?
  4. I'm surprised that Diana didn't laugh in Dodi's face when he gave her that cheesy, silver-plated poem. I was disgusted by Dodi's behavior throughout the episode - dragging Diana out for ice cream when she didn't want to go out, actually proposing to her after a few weeks, begging her girlfriend to talk to his dad, etc. You know this is fiction, since a normal person would be pissed off and not be forgiving that your fling seduced you on the orders of his dad. I have no words for Mou Mou's actions, either. I can't believe those photographers had no shame with their behavior. They were terrorizing that woman.
  5. The Scottish photographer was so humble and sweet. It was interesting how they showed that sleazy, flashy Italian photographer, who didn't show any respect for his subjects. I couldn't believe that Mou Mou asked the staff if Diana and Dodi were sleeping together, and sending a tabloid photographer after them. I honestly thought that the security guy was on his payroll, but it looks like he worked for Diana. Why didn't he tell that perverted guy to step off? It was pretty nerve-wracking for Diana to be walking through a landmine field, I wasn't aware that she did that in real life. I felt terribly for her when the paparazzi she was familiar with made those degrading remarks at such an important event. I would have dropped Dodi then and there, but she kept on associating with him. I don't understand her mindset, the guy was still engaged to someone else and he picked up with her so quickly. That is not a good guy.
  6. I'm glad the opening scene wasn't graphic. Now that they showed the timeline, I didn't realize that Diana and Dodi weren't dating that long. He was a weak fool, and I hated that his fiance didn't kick him to the curb when he sent her to the smaller boat. Mou Mou is a piece of shit. I felt bad for Diana when Charles read that letter excerpt at the birthday party - "I have loved none but you". No one forced Charles to marry Diana, I hate his constant victim attitude. I didn't like he made that remark to the footman, either. I scoffed when Charles shouted at his staff because Camilla was being overshadowed by Diana in the papers. People don't really care about her because she isn't as vivacious as Diana, I'm not sure what he was thinking his staff could do. I couldn't entertain a guy who treated his fiance like that and was sending me gifts at the same time, but I guess Diana constantly needed to be loved.
  7. I should have known that Turner would exaggerate to get under Bertha's skin. I don't blame Bertha for being upset - George's smug calmness would have pissed me off too. I think Peggy is making a big mistake traveling to Alabama, not only traveling by herself with a married man but also traveling to a place where you're not considered human. Her mother's warnings made me anxious for next week. Are Oscar Wilde's plays known to be boring? I thought he was popular in his time. Does Aurora really not know that her cousin is gay? Even Oscar Wilde pointed out his relationship with Adams. I think she's aware about McAllister. The valet's tale is heartbreaking. His family would really exile him to across the country??
  8. I laughed at Agnes' snark about Ada talking non-stop to the priest. When Mr. Russell agreed to the interview with Oscar, I was wondering if he would bring up his affairs to stop him from pursuing Gladys. Nope, he just said "no" with no explanation. I loved it! I'm glad that Agnes told Armstrong to shape up or ship out. Was Armstrong really crying about who will hire her, when Agnes only wants her to be kind?! I'm glad that Peggy basically told Armstrong to not fuck with her. Larry made a mistake sleeping with his employer. She could easily turn on him and destroy his career. Her jealousy towards Marion isn't good. I didn't realize that tall guy was drunk at first, I just thought he was an obnoxious guy who can't read the room. It's good to see more of the familial relationship between Oscar and Marion this episode. I also enjoyed the relationship between the Russells. They can be sweet. That ending with the scorned maid, ouch!
  9. I teared up a bit at what happened to Peggy's son. I'm glad that her father's actions weren't brushed over, I would have scratched out his eyes if I had to live in the same house as him. I don't feel sorry for Oscar at all. Since when is he so in love with Gladys? I thought he was gay, not bisexual. Poor barons, their workers want fair and safe practices in the workplace! The Russell's new house in Newport was gorgeous. I really enjoyed the architecture and clothes in this episode. The ending with the opera setup was pretty.
  10. I laughed at Lazslo's grin when he talked about how Perdita killed dozens of people in a settlement and it was blamed on winter weather. That's so messed up! Poor Guillermo, having to pack all the crap on the car and remove it after a long drive. The Guide's paintings were surprisingly good. I liked that one of Nadja. LOL at Nandor treating Guillermo like a bloodhound and at the fact that the "human horde" was all naked. I liked the mystery aspect of the episode and Colin Robinson's advanced hair growth to set himself up as a master detective. Nandor did have some menacing scenes in the finale. It almost scared me a bit when he got up close to Patton Oswalt in the Panera Bread and grabbed his wrists. Poor Derek! It's cool that Nandor arranged all of that just to reverse his turning. I wasn't expecting for the return of the Necromancer and Topher! I love the barbs that Lazslo trades with him. Due to Disney and cable provider shenanigans, I wasn't able to watch the episodes last night. I'm glad I was able to watch on Hulu before my trial ran out! If this is the last season, I wouldn't be too upset. They had a good run.
  11. I enjoyed this episode, I wasn't expecting it to veer from the roast. I was laughing at the beginning when Nadja held Nandor's arm in sympathy in their diminished sex life with Lazslo. I wonder if the promotion of the actress who plays the Guide is part of the joke of her character - where everyone ignores her even though she hangs around a lot. I wasn't expecting for the Guide to spill the beans like that! LOL at Lazslo using her dress to clean his hands. It was smart of the guys to scheme to trick the Baron and Guillermo. I was not expecting for Guillermo to roast him again! The Guillermo creatures are pretty creepy, it's not surprising that the Baron would enjoy them.
  12. Edie's boss was such a shithead, he could have given her a heads up that his bosses have forced him to take a deal. The press conference after the trial was sickening. I'm glad that she reconciled with her brother at the end. I can't believe Britt came over to Shannon's house and said that she was a good person. Seriously?? Shannon should have fought back, there's no way I would have cowered in my own home. I'm glad Glen's wife stood her ground about him not staying over. 30 days isn't that much in the grand scheme of things. I couldn't tell, was the couple that Glen stole from dead? The real life stories from the people in the beginning were heartbreaking.
  13. It's too bad the U.S. Attorney team didn't get the evidence they needed from the secretary. It infuriated me that Sackler was playing with his dog and making all of that noise during the meeting, like they don't matter. That conference was cheesy in the beginning but quickly turned into something sleezy. Shannon is such a follower, I rolled my eyes when she gave in and decided to snort Oxy. Her protege has no soul at all. I knew Glen's request to his stepson would be self-serving, but he didn't try convince him much. I couldn't believe that long line at the clinic and the security guards, like they're bouncers at a club.
  14. Did Shannon actually sleep with that doctor? They just cut away abruptly. It disgusts me that she quickly brushed off her concerns after getting paid off by the company and started recruiting others into the bullshit. It's shocking to see that their quote from a medical journal came from a letter to the editor. I wonder why no one tried to verify the source before? It shocked me when the car fell from the lift, Glen could have been killed. I do wonder why the stepson didn't bring up his concerns before though, good for him for getting out of the dangerous environment. Mte to the post above on why people are letting Glen drive around.
  15. It's unbelievable that the FDA guy resigned from his job to work for Purdue. That didn't raise any red flags for anyone? Shannon seems a bit too stupid for me. She saw a girl she met before faking an injury at another clinic and snort up, and she's reassured that she's just another addict. It's really disgusting how they keep pushing the drugs and recommending higher dosages just so everyone can get paid. Poor Glen.
  16. I didn't realize that it was Glen's stepson who was goofing off with the dangerous machinery and caused Glen's injury in the first place. I was wondering why he wasn't fired. It was pretty scary when Glen woke up in the middle of the night, trying to find his bottle. Glen's stepson just really gets on my nerves. I really hated Shannon's smug smile when Edie was standing in front of the car. I loved that Dr. that tried to school her and I hated the second Dr. gave in when Shannon started talking about gymnastics.
  17. I really liked this movie. Slick had so many laugh out loud lines, I cracked up when they first met the lab tech with the afro. I'm surprised Fontaine didn't go insane when he saw the face of his clone. I don't know why I expected for only him to be the clone. It was heartbreaking when he found out that his mother wasn't real. The overlords of the experiment were very insidious. It was creepy when everyone was in the chicken joint. I was glad to see everyone come together at the end to take down the lab. The guy with the mini fan cracked me up.
  18. This episode was hilarious, I had to rewind a few times. I love that Lazslo is now the go-to scientific expert. The way he kicked down the railing in the beginning cracked me up for some reason. Is this the first time that Colin Robinson cursed? I can't remember him having a foul mouth before. Poor Guillermo! The vampires abandoned him on the floor and Nandor and Nadja were arguing about who should help him. His foot was very gross. I was surprised to see John Slattery. When Colin made that Irish slur, I thought he would kick them out. It seemed like he planned on kidnapping the guys to take them to Brooklyn. It would have been interesting to see how that turned out. Nadja is bad-ass and crazy. She slapped the shit out of Guillermo (twice!) for no reason, which made me laugh like crazy.
  19. There were a lot of people at my showing today, hope it does well at the box office. It's interesting that Jonas seems to have custody of Meiying now, rather than her uncle. I laughed hard at DJ's survival pack. After what they went through during the last film, I'm glad he was more prepared this time. I enjoyed the movie and the soundtrack.
  20. I can't believe Guillermo actually went through with the circumcision!
  21. I laughed throughout all of Laszlo's experiments. I just shook my head at him having a plague mask. I was expecting for his "Guillermo-sunblock" to fail. It was so odd seeing him in the daylight. I didn't really enjoy the switched bodies storyline of Nadja, but I was really disturbed to see Colin come out the back of her head. I loved the reactions of the crowd at the end. I was surprised to see that Nandor actually made it up into space. I thought he would chicken out at the last minute, or that he would end up floating up there and be unable to come back down.
  22. I was surprised that Guillermo went through with the turning! I thought his hints to the cameraman indicated that he backed out of it. I jumped a little when Nandor busted down the door to speak to Guillermo. Laszlo's not so subtle spying on Guillermo was hilarious. I don't know why, but I cracked up when he was clutching at the wall, spying. Colin's new way of feeding was hilarious. I can see him thriving at his new workplace. The vampires are such assholes! The Guide zoomed into their house, and they just brushed her off. I wonder why the Guide wants to hang out with them in the first place? Nadja's slap to Colin was so unexpected and funny. It was so random that Guillermo was hanging out at the Baron's house. I would be terrified to be around him without the other vampires! It's terrible that the Baron turned a guy just because he was using his leaf blower during the day. Even worse, the poor guy exploded due to an experiment! So gross! I also want to know how everyone knew to meet up at the diner in the end.
  23. I thought this was a horror movie when they showed the preview before Indiana Jones! I was surprised to see Michelle Yeoh in a random horror movie. I didn't realize it was a Poirot movie until I saw Kenneth Branagh. I'm not sure if my audience realized that it was a Poirot movie. I never heard of the story before, but I'm going to try to avoid a synopsis.
  24. I enjoyed this movie. The opening scene was great, the shots that had the planes flying over the train was very cool. Indy's life at the beginning was so sad - sleeping in front of his TV, getting mocked by his younger neighbor, and half-heartedly teaching a subject that doesn't interest his students. I was really surprised how Helena went. I was hoping that she would get punished for all the shit she put Indy through. I didn't think that Nazis were willing to work with black people (the CIA agent at the beginning). I loved the room server's response to Schmidt about being born near the Yankee Stadium. The ending scenes were really cool, too. Too bad Indy didn't get his wish.
  25. This episode really got to me. I didn't really like Pia, she steamrolled over her partner and threatened that she would just do the documentary herself. What a shitty thing to say to someone, especially since at the time his father was thought to be an indirect victim of the serial killer. It was pretty odd that two people in Davis' hometown made those racially insensitive remarks. I would have thought at least Stuart would have known better. When the trio broke into the house, I just got more and more tense. When they showed the blacklight in the room, I had to pause the show and come to the board to be spoiled. I'm glad I did, but I still ended up almost biting a pillow anyway when Pia was alone in the house with Davis' mom. This episode will probably stay with me awhile, since it's realistic.
