I wish she would mention that she had speech therapy as a kid.

It didn't help.  But, maybe she gets overexcited & lapses.

How do you get rid of vermin, then?    (I think somebody already said something similar, but I couldn't resist)

Thank you!!!!  I was shocked when I heard what I thought I heard!

Also - agree with the rest of your post!

AdeleDazeem just posted that she watched on Youtube, and Megan said "NRA".....I'm glad that I didn't hear what I thought I did!  I guess speaking quickly, saying "I'm NRA member" was misconstrued and mis-heard by some of us.

Boy, she needs speech therapy!   Enunciate, woman!  ?

  3. Holmes and Holmes.  New show (new to me,  anyway) with Mike Holmes & his son, where they buy something & renovate.  They've bought (or Mike has anyway) a home on 5 acres out in the sticks & they're hoping to fix it up & sell it for over a million dollars.  It looks gawd-awful so far.  Mike Holmes is still a giant pain in the ass, but his son is cute.

Carson & Thom were very classy and gracious about WW making the interview about her (as usual.) She is a low class, stupid ass diva. So what Wendy, you graduated from college and made a career out of being trashy.  I love Carson and Thom....my only favorites from the original QE. And damn, Thom looks so good...aging well and very sexy. But as the saying goes...all the hot guys are married or gay! Lol.

Poor Carson & Thom!  They are such fun & I love their new show.  Having to put up with morons interviewing them is part of the job, I guess.

I just checked out her Wikipedia & it says she's a fashion designer - ha ha ha ha ah ha ah ah ah ha ha

I always end up off-topic, if I'm not careful, so I prefer general chat threads. I've been a part of four large communities (aside from this one), and loved things like a photography thread, what's for dinner? and so on. I keep forgetting about the "everything else" forum here. I made a lot of friends over the years, once I got over my shyness enough to interact.

A lot of these sub-sections are hard to find.  Keep forgetting which ones have “Everything Else”.

Wendy says some really mind-boggling things that would get other TV personalities fired.  I think she gets away with it because (a) she says so many whacked out things, who can keep track? and (b) no one is paying attention.

    Yeah, nobody’s watching!  ?

For you hard core Wendy fans, I saw a commercial for the Seth Meyers talk show where they announced that Wendy is a guest on 10/30.  I won't be watching.

I wonder what she would bring to this show?

Who is this Tiffany Haddish that I keep being annoyed with on the commercial breaks?  I guess she's going to be on GMA today, but just that little taste of her on the ads is enough to make me want to throw my TV out the window.

Her voice is really grating.  It's loud and manages to be screechy and hoarse at the same time.  I guess she's going for exuberant and sassy, but she comes off to me as over the top and exhausting.

Thank you!  She is frickin’ annoying.  I don’t get the love.

Good point. However, Megan was ill suited from Day 1 to host a "Today Show'. They should have put her on MSNBC discussing politics or serious news. I hope Andy Lack gets fired as well.

She needs a more political format.  She’s not a warm person & that’s OK.  I always found her just fine, but I wasn’t a regular viewer.

People bring up the Jane Fonda incident - well Jane is no snowflake.  She is quite able to take care of herself.  She didn’t like the question, too damn bad!

This show was insufferable; Bill is a genius, he predicts the future with Trump, he is fearless, he is "authentic," blah, blah, blah.  The fact that Bill Maher is and always has been an asshole is never addressed.  But I still remember him from Amazon Women and whatever and other such schlock.  I watch this show faithfully, but usually Maher's pieces are the worst part of the program.  If he is Liberalism in post-modern America, we are truly in trouble.

I don't mind his show.  Sometimes, he's on target.  I find him just a little too self-satisfied & self-righteous at times.  I don't think his show will address his assholery.  (snicker)

I agree with all the people who are sick of the Mooch and to a certain extent Stormy Daniels. The Mooch sucks up all the oxygen in the room and won’t shut up!

Let's not forget Stormy's lawyer, who was everywhere (haven't seen him lately, I guess because of his troubles).  These people have nothing to offer, so can we stop seeing them.  Same for Ann Coulter.

Really enjoyed the studio apartment, they did a wonderful job. Didn't even get to see the final Nyak room. How do you have a completely empty room for two years?? I had one once, but only because I had no money for furniture! It's a blank slate, give it a shot!

The homeowner didn't have "time" to "decorate" - just buy a sofa, a couple of chairs & a can of paint.  I guess if you "entertain" a lot (which seems to be the norm on these types of shows) you are very uncertain about your choices.

  12. Funny, I was thinking that Lily is turning into quite an attractive, young lady.  What's wrong with her looks?  I think she delivers her lines the way "Lily" would -- rolling her eyes at her dads.

I saw the segment and she did very little speaking, remained very humble. I think she at least tried to make it a learning experience.  I understand the anti-Megyn bias of many, but seems wrong for no one to mention this at all.  I do believe she tried.

The whole thing was an over-reaction.  She never said that it was OK, she said people did it back in the day.  When you have low ratings, you have to watch what you say,  because people don't listen and misinterpret every statement.

As for Lily, it’s not bad acting at all. Lily is just “over it” and speaks in a monotone because she’s dealing with a couple of over the top fathers. If you watch the early shows, baby lily never cracked a smile.

Yes!  I like her dry delivery.  She's compensating for the dramatic dads.

I’m shocked people are so bothered that characters on a sitcom about a relatively shallow family didn’t act grief stricken enough. I thought there was too much grief about a bit character we hardly saw and mostly didn’t like.

    Thank you!

I don't get people who are so invested in people who aren't real.

Was listening to Megan when it happened and watched it several times since.  In no way do I believe that she was EVER condoning blackface.  She was just stating a fact that when she was young, on Halloween young people dressed up as all kinds of things and might have worn makeup to make their costume more realistic.  That was it.  Of course now in retrospect that practice was wrong, but she was not being malicious at all.

I think that's all she said.  As I noted, NBC jumped on it because her ratings weren't great.

BTW, check out the Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney movie, "Babes on Broadway" (Waiting for the Robert E Lee) if you want to see a cringe-worthy performance.  That was perfectly acceptable for the time.

I don't think any of the on-screen talent at NBC ever wanted Megyn to darken the door of their shrine to liberal politics.  I bet their was no warm welcome, and gleeful snickering when Megyn's ratings weren't great.  Al Roker & Tamara Hall were pushed aside to make room for the network's token conservative, so I'm sure there were some hard feelings all over the set.  Again, I'm no fan of hers and I am glad she will finally put out to pasture, but I don't think she was ever made to feel like part of the "family" at 30 Rockerfeller Plaza.

NBC was just waiting for an excuse to can her.  Never cared for Al & Tamara either, but then these types of daytime TV shows are just brutal.  I watch little snippets here & there, but if you watch for hours, it is damaging to your brain cells.

The show may be preachy, but in my case it's preaching to the choir, and I enjoy it.

My choir, too - but I still want some laughs.  Maybe the acting is bad?  Maybe too many sermons per episode?  Something is off for me.

I can do without the Tyne Daley character, also.  She's too predictable.
