I hated Grace's storyline. I don't think it fits with what we already know about Grace. Between this and the stuff last week about Will's letter to Grace back in college, the show is getting a bit too heavy. If they want me to enjoy watching 50-ish adults still living like they did in their early 30s, they need to keep it light.

I'm not saying sitcoms can't have serious storylines, but it almost seems like they're trying to add drama because they're out of comedic storylines. Or as though they are trying to bring relevance to the show in the #MeToo era. It seems to me that if Grace were a childhood victim of sexual assault, we would have had at least a hint about it by now. (I don't mean she would have told people).

The thing is that a lot of sitcoms are jumping on this bandwagon & as you said, it didn’t seem to fit here (or on Murphy Brown, for that matter).  Just waiting for the other shoe to drop on more shows.  How about a very special episode featuring Penny, on Big Bang Theory?   Just stop, already!

The Wolf Network stuff was actually funny.

Actually funnier than the Murphy in the Morning bits.  Hey, there's an idea for a new show - Avery on the Wolf Network!

  3. OK, so has every sitcom covered this topic?

Favorite line from Grace’s father re: creepy Harry: “l never want to hear his name again, he’s dead to me.”

There were some good lines in the episode though.

The "best man" thing didn't do much for me.

I call BS. If MK signs, Joy walks and Sunny, too. The View dies.

I don’t think the ladies will give up the gravy train that easily.  They’ve stuck it out with MM.

I love Trevor Noah as well. It was hard to get used to him at first but he is amazing.

I had to warm up to him, also.  Now, I find him great!

Geraldo Rivera never fails to remind me why I dislike him

I'm wondering why these shows think he's relevant.  His time is long gone.

Sooooo, the obvious question is - if MK is added, who goes?

Ooh, ooh - may I make a suggestion?   Although, I would think MK would be better on a political show.  Maybe a pundi(n)t on some show or other.

Also, why can't we just have Ana?

Ana is not interested in a full-time gig with The View.

Hoda's is 54 so I don't think she's old; however, I do think she's too "old" to be acting like an idiot like she was in that Elton John getup.

I was trying to be funny.    She looks like my sisters-in-law dancing at weddings.  ;o)

I thought the Halloween show was an expensive bust.  The only character I liked was Sheinelle as Tina Turner.  The others were meh, and of course Hoda had to act like a jackass as Elton John.  She has no sense of rhythm whatsoever.  It's times like this that I miss Matt.

Just saw a clip of Honda as Elton!  What makes old people do this?   ?‍♀️?

Did George finally say screw it to Halloween?  I didn't see him on either the little bit of GMA I saw or the clips and pictures of their costumes on their Twitter page.  Don't blame him, he looked more bored and annoyed with it every year and had started to just wear a suit as his costume.

George is a person after my own heart.  I feel like an idiot dressing up for Halloween.???‍♀️

So I was reading HuffPo this a.m. on my phone, and there was an article about MM and the Stacey Abrams clip and the comments were very anti-MM.  Almost every comment was negative - so I wonder if the notion that bad attention is better than no attention is why NBC keeps her on - because she makes waves and people talk about her and that keeps The View on the radar.  I am thinking if no one watched (not likely) and no one snarked (also not likely) her flame might go out.  I really have stopped watching and read here.  I will watch a clip posted.  I still have it on my DVR in case I read here of something fab.

That has to be the case because she brings nothing  to the show.  As long as they’re in the news, they are happy.  She still might get the boot when her contract is up, though.

I liked Tamron both as a silly Today host, doing news and on her ID show.  And even if I didn't really like her, she was better, imo, than that other woman who used to occupy Tamron's former time slot.

I wish Tamron luck with her new talk show, but I don't know how it will succeed.  Katie Couric and Meredith Vierra were both total flops when they tried a daytime chat show.

Too many talk shows & guests are spread pretty thin.  Would she bring anything new to the table?  ?

Who told her that dress was a good idea?  (I wonder if Joy is her stylist?)
