  1. The Sunday Cable ratings are in for “Monsters”: “The Walking Dead” (3.8) led Sunday’s rankings but declined a bit from the prior week’s 4.0. [8.519 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-nov-5-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day ratings for Season 8 so far: 10-22-17 “Mercy” 11.439 million 10-29-17 “The Damned” 8.923 million 11-05-17 “Monsters” 8.519 million
  3. The Cable Live +3 ratings are in for Episode 802, “The Damned”: Episode 2 of “The Walking Dead” (5.6) stayed at No. 1 in adults 18-49 and passed “Monday Night Football” to take over the top spot in total viewers. [12.247 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-oct-23-29-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day and Live +3 ratings for Season 8 so far: 10-22-17 “Mercy” 11.439 million; 15.047 million 10-29-17 “The Damned” 8.923 million; 12.247 million Well, it's still outperforming everything else on cable and any number of shows on broadcast TV, but that drop in viewership would concern me if I were the showrunner.
  4. The Cable Live +7 ratings are in for Episode 801, "Mercy": The Season 8 premiere of “The Walking Dead” added 2.2 points to its adults 18-49 rating and 4.28 million viewers with a week of delayed viewing. That’s pretty close to the gains the Season 7 premiere made (2.3, 4.5 million) last year. That’s the good news. The bad is that even with those gains, the Oct. 22 premiere still lags well behind last season. The show’s 7.2 rating in adults 18-49 is off 33 percent from the 10.7 for last season’s debut in Live +7. In viewers, the premiere’s 15.736 million falls about 27 percent short of Season 7’s 21.53 million. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-7-ratings-for-oct-16-22-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day, Live +3, and Live +7 ratings for the first episode of Season 8: 10-22-17 “Mercy” 11.439 million; 15.047 million; 15.736 million
  5. Here you go, dialogue from Episode 501, "No Sanctuary": Gareth: We saw you go into the woods with a bag, and come out without it. I had to pull my spotters back before we could go look for it. What was in it? (Rick stares at Gareth, says nothing.) Gareth: You hid it, right? In case things went bad. Smart! Still, we’ll find it, but it’s too dangerous to go out there right now. (Grabs Bob and holds a knife near his eye) What was in it? I’m curious. And...it was a big bag. (Rick stares at Gareth, says nothing.) Gareth: You really going to let me do this? (Indicates the knife near Bob’s eyes) Rick: Let me take you out there. I’ll show you. Gareth: Not gonna happen, but this might. Rick: There’s guns in it. AK-47, .44 Magnum, automatic weapons, night scope, there’s a compound bow and a machete with a red...red handle. That’s what I’m going to use to kill you. Gareth: (smiles, then laughs) Thanks. You’ve got two hours to get them on the dryers.
  6. The Sunday Cable ratings are in for "The Damned": “The Walking Dead” put up ratings on Sunday that were the show’s lowest since the late stages of its second season more than five years ago. The show was still Sunday’s biggest draw on cable by a long shot, but its 4.0 rating among adults 18-49 was the lowest for the show since March 11, 2012 — the next-to-last episode of Season 2. “TWD’s” 8.923 million viewers were the least since the Season 2 finale. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-oct-29-2017/ And here are the Live + Same Day numbers for Season 8 so far: 10-22-17 “Mercy” 11.439 million 10-29-17 “The Damned” 8.923 million I imagine the World Series might have had something to do with that drop, but we'll see...
  7. The Cable Live +3 ratings are in for "Mercy": The season premiere of “The Walking Dead” made a big jump with three days of delayed viewing. The AMC show grew from a 5.0 rating among adults 18-49 to a 6.8 after three days. It also tacked on 3.59 million viewers. In both cases, the show’s gains alone would rank in the top 15 in the charts below. [15.047 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-oct-16-22-2017/ In other words: 10-22-17 “Mercy” 11.439 million; 15.047 million
  8. I haven't had a chance to read through the thread yet, but the Sunday Cable Ratings are in for "Mercy": “The Walking Dead” returned Sunday to its smallest premiere in several years. Although it’s still among the biggest shows on TV, the AMC series put up its smallest premiere rating among adults 18-49 (5.0) since Season 2 and its smallest total audience for a season debut (11.44 million) since Season 3. No one was expecting the show to match last year’s massive debut (the show’s second-best outing ever with an 8.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 17 million viewers), but “The Walking Dead” was also behind its Season 7 average (5.4) and the rating for last season’s finale (also 5.4). It was slightly ahead of both last season’s viewer average (11.35 million) and the finale total (11.31 million). Sunday’s show was also the biggest premiere on cable in 2017, besting the 4.7 and 10.11 million viewers for “Game of Thrones.” http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-oct-22-2017/
  9. The Sunday Cable Ratings are in for "The Unveiling" and "Children of Wrath": The final two “Fear the Walking Dead” episodes of the summer were in line with recent ratings. The 9 p.m. episode drew a 0.9 [2.621 million], and the 10 p.m. one came in at 0.8 [2.402 million]. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-july-9-2017/ And here we have the Cable Live + Same Day ratings for the first half of Season 3: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million 06-04-17 “The New Frontier” 2.698 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million 06-25-17 “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame” 2.499 million 07-02-17 “Red Dirt” 2.193 million 07-09-17 “The Unveiling” 2.621 million 07-09-17 “Children of Wrath” 2.402 million
  10. The Cable Live +3 ratings are in for "Red Dirt": “Fear the Walking Dead” made the biggest gains of the week, growing by 0.7 in adults 18-49 [to 1.5] and by 1.5 million viewers. [3.699 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-june-26-july-2-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day ratings, followed by the Live +3 ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million; 3.803 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million; 3.658 million 06-25-17 “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame” 2.499 million; not reported 07-02-17 “Red Dirt” 2.193 million; 3.699 million
  11. Apparently they skipped the Cable Live +3 ratings report for "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame" but we've got this: Here are the top cable shows in the Live +7 rankings for June 19-25, 2017. Rankings include original series, movies and specials only, not repeats. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/doctor-who-quadruples-in-18-49-cable-live-7-ratings-for-june-19-25/ These are the Cable Live + Same Day, Live +3 (when reported), and Live +7 ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million; 5.076 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million; 4.628 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million; 3.803 million; 4.222 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million; 3.658 million; 4.071 million 06-25-17 “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame” 2.499 million; not reported; 4.179 million
  12. The Sunday Cable ratings are in for "Red Dirt" AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead” landed on top in the Sunday cable ratings this week. The “Walking Dead” spin-off series raked in a 0.8 rating in adults 18-49 on the network, down two-tenths from its previous 1.0. [2.193 million] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-july-2-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day ratings for Season 3 to date: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million 06-04-17 “The New Frontier” 2.698 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million 06-25-17 “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame” 2.499 million 07-02-17 “Red Dirt” 2.193 million Perhaps attributable to the holiday weekend, but...not good.
  13. Finally, the Cable Live +7 Ratings for Episode, "100": “Better Call Saul” basically had a repeat of of its Live +7 performance in the week of June 12, once again more than tripling its initial adults 18-49 rating. The June 12 episode grew from a 0.5 rating to 1.6 with seven days of DVR playback, matching the previous week’s growth. It passed the June 5 episode in viewers added, growing by 2.77 million vs. 2.45 million the previous week. It also closed to within a tenth of a point of “Fear the Walking Dead” (1.7, +0.8). http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-7-ratings-for-june-12-18-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day; Live +3; and Live +7 ratings for Season 3 to date: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million; 5.076 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million; 4.628 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million; 3.803 million; 4.222 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million; 3.658 million; 4.071 million
  14. The Sunday Cable ratings are in for "Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame": “Fear the Walking Dead” ticked up vs. the previous week, rising a tenth to 1.0. [2.499 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-june-25-2017/ Here, as usual, are the Cable Live + Same Day ratings for Season 3 to date: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million 06-04-17 “The New Frontier” 2.698 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million 06-25-17 “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame” 2.499 million That's a relatively substantial uptick, there...
  15. Here are the Cable Live +3 Ratings for last week’s Episode 304, “100”: “Fear the Walking Dead” remains in second, as it was in the same-day ratings. It rose six-tenths of a point to 1.5. [3.658 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-june-12-18-2017/ And here are the Live + Same Day and Live +3 ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million; 3.803 million 06-18-17 “100″ 2.396 million; 3.658 million
  16. The Cable Live +7 ratings are in for "Teotwawki": In viewers, “Saul’s” 2.45 million-person gain was 738,000 more than the second-best show, “Fear the Walking Dead” (1.72 million). [4.222 million viewers; 1.8 rating] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/better-call-saul-triples-in-cable-live-7-ratings-for-june-5-11/ Here, too, are the Live + Same Day; Live +3; and Live +7 ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million; 5.076 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million; 4.628 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million; 3.803 million; 4.222 million
  17. The Sunday Cable Ratings are in for "100": Elsewhere, “Fear the Walking Dead” hit another low for AMC, dipping below a 1.0 in adults 18-49 for the first time with a 0.9. (That was still good enough to lead the day in the 18-49 demo.) Its 2.4 million viewers was also a series low. [2.396 million] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-june-18-2017/ Here are the Cable Live + Same Day ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million 06-04-17 “The New Frontier” 2.698 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million 06-18-17 “100" 2.396 million
  18. The Cable Live +3 Ratings are in for "Teotwawki": “Fear the Walking Dead’s” June 11 episode made solid ratings gains with three days of DVR viewing — but not enough to take over the No. 1 ranking among adults 18-49. That title still belongs to “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” whose 1.8 in the Live +3 ratings is a tenth of a point higher than “Fear’s” 1.7. “Better Call Saul” made the biggest jump, growing by eight tenths of a point. “Fear the Walking Dead” did climb to No. 1 in total viewers. It added 1.3 million viewers to its initial audience for a three-day total of 3.803 million. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-june-5-11-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day and Live +3 ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million; 3.803 million
  19. The Cable Live +7 Ratings are in for "Eye of the Beholder" and "The New Frontier": “Fear the Walking Dead” had the biggest gains in both adults 18-49 and viewers. It’s still far below where it was last season, however, with the premiere’s 2.1 rating less than half of the Season 2 premiere’s 4.5. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-7-ratings-for-may-29-june-4-2017/ And here are the Live + Same Day; Live +3; and Live +7 ratings for the first two episodes of Season 3: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million; 5.076 million 06-04-17 “New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million; 4.628 million
  20. The Sunday Cable Ratings are in for "Teotwawki": Sunday’s episode of “Fear the Walking Dead” tied a series low among adults 18-49, but it was still just good enough to lead the day’s ratings. The AMC series drew a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic Sunday, tying the low set with the second of two episodes the previous week. [2.504 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-june-11-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day ratings for Season 3 so far: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million 06-04-17 “The New Frontier” 2.698 million 06-11-17 “Teotwawki” 2.504 million
  21. The Cable Live +3 Ratings are in for "Eye of the Beholder" and "The New Frontier": The third-season premiere of “Fear the Walking Dead” is No. 1 in the Live +3 ratings for the week of May 29, but its numbers are way down from where it began Season 2. The AMC show’s premiere rose by 0.7 points in adults 18-49 with three days of DVR and on-demand viewing to finish with a 1.9 rating. (A second episode also rose by 0.7 to 1.7.) That’s down a heavy 55 percent from the 4.2in Live +3 for the Season 2 premiere last year. It’s also off by 47 percent in viewers (4.66 million vs. 8.83 million last year). If there’s an upside, it’s that “Fear” made up a little bit of an even bigger decline from the same-day ratings. The night-of airing fell 61 percent from Season 2 (1.2 vs. 3.1). http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-may-29-june-4-2017/ Here are the Live + Same Day and Live +3 ratings for the first two episodes of Season 3: 06-04-17 “Eye of the Beholder” 3.109 million; 4.656 million 06-04-17 “The New Frontier” 2.698 million; 4.180 million
  22. Well, if you want to be logical, there's no arguing that! Although now I feel guilty leaving a one-sentence response to your thoughtful analysis...so here's sentence #2!
  23. Looks like Heath could potentially show up in future seasons: Viewers’ time with Corey Hawkins’ Eric Carter has officially come to an end. Announced late Tuesday afternoon, FOX has canceled “24: Legacy” after just one season. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/more-tv-news/24-legacy-canceled-by-fox-after-one-season/
  24. Regarding the ratings for these first two episodes, I thought it might be of interest as to what the Live + Same Day numbers were for the other #1 show AMC had on the schedule in the weeks following The Walking Dead finale: April 10-16 BETTER CALL SAUL – P 0.7 1815 April 17-23 BETTER CALL SAUL 0.5 1464 May 8-14 BETTER CALL SAUL 0.6 1757 May 15-21 BETTER CALL SAUL 0.6 1716 Fear The Walking Dead's ratings -- while nothing to write home about -- don't look all that bad...
