We just bought new patio furniture. Ours is a dining set. Aluminum is what you want as it won’t rust. We spent 6 months researching. We paid $1500 for 4 chairs and a table and it was worth every penny. Our weather in Iowa sucks, so we needed something to stand up to it. We store it in our garage in winter. The umbrella we bought for it is made from Sunbrella material that is spectacular. Sunbrella is for sure a great purchase.

Here are two more photos. The pictures are screen shots from her Instagram story. It would look so much better with maybe shoulder length hair.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Madtown replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Anna has already had a long life and it's about to get even longer. First, no one told her to have 7 kids. Considering the men in these marriages have more say than the women, Josh, should've just stopped and said no more after about 3. We know he wasn't thrilled when they announced number 4. Her life is much harder with 7 kids. The only life skills she's ever been taught was having babies and tending to her husband's every need. If she wasn't so delusional in believing that Josh is innocent, she could possibly try to find a way out. If she had any clue, she should be pissed at her parents for this marriage, pissed and JB and Michelle for not telling her about Josh(her parents too). She should want to get out of that situation and have a life outside of this shithole she's stuck in. Living with JimBob and Michelle is probably her best choice, sadly. I can't imagine that life. Those kids deserve so much better. -
Their response to the Josh's sentencing.. Yesterday we learned that Josh was given a 151 month sentence in federal prison for his crime of CSAM. The last several weeks and months have been difficult emotionally. Yesterday was another one of those hard days. We are neither rejoicing nor disappointed by the sentence, but we are thankful it’s finally over. The Bible clearly states that God effects justice and vengeance through the governing authorities. Though some believe Josh should have received a greater sentence and still fewer believe he should have received a lighter sentence, God has carried out his vengeance today for his unspeakable criminal activity. Until now, he has yet to be held accountable to the extent necessary to cause change in his dangerous pattern of behavior. It is unfortunate, but it seems that it may take spending over a decade in federal prison, and still more on probation, for Josh to have any potential for rehabilitation to the point he can safely live in society again. Hopefully, Josh can actually begin to get treatment and begin to work toward a lifestyle where he is less likely to reoffend. If for nothing else, the notoriety of this case has hopefully contributed to the deterrence of potential offenders and will help protect children by decreasing the demand for CSAM. We continue to love Josh and his family and will be there for them however we can.

According to The Sun, Josh gave Anna the "I love you" sign as he left court. He also has to pay $50,100 in fines. Has till the last month of sentence to pay it. He has 14 days to appeal. -

Not necessarily. I was 50 when I first started going through menopause. I have a friend who was almost 43 when she had her last child. Hopefully no more babies. I can't imagine Anna would want to try and get pregnant the second he gets out and at 46. -

The sun is reporting that court should be back in session now. -
Watched the video. One would think Joy wouldn’t parade Gideon around in just his shirt and underwear, along with Evie in a shirt and diaper. They were still like this for “school” Not sure how long she does “school” with them, but I don’t think it’s for very long. Gideon looks so big, but still sucks his thumb.

OMG! I did the exact same thing for the same site! My husband and one of our friends brings it up frequently in conversations because neither could believe I would think that that was the only part of their webiste. It didn't even dawn on me, what was going to happen when I hit enter! -
We live in Iowa. Our taxes right now are $4500 for a 6100 square foot lot. House size is about 1880, which includes a finished basement. They will be going up next year. I think they will be close to $4700. That's nuts. Iowa also does property taxes weird. When you buy a house, you pay taxes from 2 years prior. When we built our house 6 years ago, our taxes were like $4 because 2 years prior, it was only land.

ME! Hubby too! Probably not till fall as that what was recommended. I got the first booster right when it came out. I'm also waiting on what Moderna will be doing with their vaccinations. I know they are working on a combo Covid/Flu shot.

I was just happy to hear Jill and Derick singing along to Fancy Like, by Walker Hayes. It’s the small things for me. Lol.

I like the one comment that said the back splash looked giant clump of tin foil..lol! After looking at again, they aren't wrong.

It might have looked better, had she chopped about 10 inches off with it.

Here in my city, homes that are pending, Zillow doesn’t say the listing was removed. It still has them all listed for sale. Hence, my confusion.
-
Their house has a pending offer on it. Zillow says the listing was removed on April 19th and that it's off the market. So not sure what is going on. Normally you don't remove a listing until the house is actually sold/closed on. Our realtor left the for sale sign up(with the sold sign on it)until we were officially closed.

Yep. Discount Tire for the win! They are one of my husband's company's biggest customers(he works for a massive tire distrubution company out of Wisconsin). I just got an email from them saying I was due for a tire pressure check. They are about 5 minutes(if even)from our house.
