  1. Best looking dude:   Syngin.  But only with the long hair.  That's his best feature - and yeah, I'm a straight guy, lol.

Best looking lady:  Well come on...Natalie may be crazy but she really is a very stunning-looking gal.  Anny Is pretty as well, and when she was standing outside the place where she met the brother and she was talking to the camera about how she was being disrespected the look on her face told me that while she is a tough girl, inside she's really feeling hurt by things.  I kinda melted a little for her...and she looked very pretty there.  But Natalie is truly a beautiful woman aside from the cray-cray.  I don't find Julianna all that attractive myself.

Couple most-likely to succeed?  hmmmmm….I'm not sure any of them have a real chance but I guess Michael and Julianna

Most Outrageous...gotta be Tania and her crew in the tent talking about Syngin.  What a bunch of dishrags.

Funniest Moment?  Angela sitting down the familia and setting them straight on how it's gonna go down when daddy comes home?  Could be.  Or perhaps Murse proudly displaying his beehive "altar" thing?  Might also be meeting Uncle Bo for the first time, lol...

...oh wait, maybe Michael's ex suggesting she should get ordained or whatever and do the wedding!  That seems pretty outrageous to me.

  2. I'm pretty sure Blake was drinking in anger at dinner with the frozen finn.  When he ordered the first drink and she went off like a school marm he got pissed and decided he was going to double down just out of spite.  He was annoyed already at the fact she'd called an audible on going to the pre party.  I find her incredibly un-likeable...the way she just sits there and coldly states "I think I'm going to go.  Yes, I'm going to go. Bye." It's like she isn't even willing to accept that she's sorta being a bitch...that there's any aspect of her behaviour that might be questioned.  She could try and at least be a little apologetic..."I'm sorry hun but I just don't feel like I'm up for a big thing with your friends.  You go and have a blast."

The baseline issue really is just that they aren't compatible and I don't know how they got this far even.  However, I don't know how many people will be compatible with her...

    - Max and Cece: that scene where they discussed Juliana and the wedding was 100% scripted. They read their lines well, God bless 'em, but I cannot stand a precocious child spouting platitudes. It's not cute, it's not impressive, it's just grating. I know it's not their fault, but I don't enjoy those scenes at all. They make me nostalgic for that squeaky little asshole on the Care.com commercials. "Am I cute?" No.

Totally agree.  That whole conversation between the kids had my eyes rolling up into my head.  I'm not a fan of the kids.  Sorry.  They seem smart and nice enough, but I just don't like precocious tots.  I'd rather not get their hot takes...

I cant feel sorry for Syngin at all. He is priviledged as a white male South African, and I'm pretty sure from his accent that he's also Afrikaans, which even today will give him a leg up in the work world. That he says he worked in the mines is weird to me, because most folks I know working the mines are black South Africans, not white. And didn't they meet in a bar where he was bartending? So he wasn't actively working in the mines recently. As for his wanting to be a carpenter or fireman - both would be fairly easy for him to get into back home. It's not like the US has some only-in-the-USA programs for firemen and carpenters. I think he's just a lazy grifter who saw an easy ticket to the US and decided to check it out. Is he sincere about Tania? Yeah, weirdly enough he seems to be, but I don't think he's as in love as he says he is. How could anyone overlook the narcissistic qualities of Tania's obtuse and off putting personality?!?

ETA: Do you all know about this already or am I just late to the party?

good if true.  Syngin is better off without the lunatic

  5. Judging by the pharma ads, life in America is a never-ending concert in a park featuring some weird band with electric guitar, standup bass, sax, and drums.  Everyone, kids included, brings a blanket and sits on the ground and enjoys the music with their arms waving in the air while eating a picnic lunch...all thanks to meds.

  6. Whether Blake is a drunk or not, and I really don't think he is...I mean Darcy was often obviously drunk on camera, the main point is simply that he and fish face have absolutely no basis upon which to build a relationship.  And while her sister was being supportive, it was fairly obvious to me that she also felt Jasmin needs to loosen the hell up.

Tania.  OMG.  The ferocious dislike I feel toward her is pretty intense.  I question the intelligence of going for some sort of mystical spiritual astrological reading with someone who you don't feel you can at least lie about being your soul-mate. I mean it seems like the potential is high for that sort of issue to come up there.  I feel like if you love a person, such that you are wanting a long term relationship with them including having children, and you are asked about the "soul mate situation," YOU SAY YOU ARE SOUL MATES!  lol.  Just lie!  If you can't do that then you don't really want the relationship because as Seinfeld said, that's a pretty big matzo ball...

  7. LOL the O'zempic ad featuring the dude from "James Main Street Music."  Can they not find somebody who actually knows one or two chords to pretend to be a musician?  Yeah right this guy is a luthier!  Looks like he's never held a guitar in his life!  😂 And why do all these stupid drug ads have these old guys playing in bands anyway?  That and wood-working.  How bout showing some oldsters sitting at casino machines or just sitting in a chair in their house asleep with the news on?  lol...

and btw I'm 53, so pretty much and oldster myself.

I've asked men I'm dating to send me a text when they get home.  I've NEVER not gotten a text or gotten any pushback.  These aren't men I'm engaged to and are travelling in a different country.  Really, who cares?  It's five seconds and generally even drunk people can at least manage a smiley face emoji or something.   It's just a weird ass thing to fight over because it's so easy to do.

Exactly.  It's ludicrous.  She should WANT to text him when she gets home...he's a person she's supposed to be in love with for gawd sake!  I mean she should be there with him if she had any sense but that's beside the point (but not really beside the point)...

I agree somewhat. And think the same thing applies for his constant complaints of being "really lonely." Most ppl would kill to have a month off the grid where they can sleep in, watch tv, read, goof off at the park. I think his discomfort is anxiety that she is creeping; but "I'm really lonely" sounds better. Saying otherwise is calling her a ho. And she likes knowing she has him all off kilter.

Really, I don't think it matters what his motivation is.  It's her response that matters because I don't think expecting the woman he's travelled to another country to possibly marry within 90 days to send him a friggin text message is unreasonable.  How bout she just says "sure I'll text you as soon as I'm home hun."  Big whoop.  But perhaps the problem is she knows there's a 90% chance she'll be blind drunk by the time she gets home and will either forget to text or just pass out before she can.

As far as most people killing to have a month off the grid to goof off...well yeah maybe if I'm in my own place with my own stuff to do.  But on my own in a foreign country where I don't know anyone and I'm sharing space with a stranger who happens to be the mother of the woman I'm supposed to be there with who has taken off to party for a month?  Lol..um no.

I just truly fail to see any appeal in Mursel.  Having an overgrown child who can't speak English, criticizes your work, denies your children and complains about everything?  Run that by me again?  I am not a violent person but I want to slap the shit out of his face every time I see him!!!  LOL!  "Anna yes!"  "I know Anna!"  Shut it!!!!!

I think Mursel and Jasmin are similar in that regard.  I see no appeal in either really.  I don't know what there is that someone would fall in love with there.  Especially after actually meeting in person for a time.  I don't think Jasmin avoids seasoning her food as a strategy to stay thin.  I just think she's an incredibly cold, bland, lifeless human being who has no real interest in anything including tasty vittles.  She is equal parts snob and introvert.  She isn't comfortable doing anything but that's ok because there's nothing she could choose to do that's worthy of her interest or the effort required to undertake it...

    and I hate Tania.  😆

He hasn't a leg to stand on if a) he knew Anna had the boys and b) he knew his family in Turkey would reject the situation.  This is a social more problem that he was personally responsible for.  There is no unfair editing - the situation is quite clear and really not able to be edited any other way.

Anna had the boys; she didn't hide it from him, he was well aware; he knew his family, based on their culture, would reject the situation.

Someone reported elsewhere in one of the earlier episodes that the translations were faulty, but the rejection of the boys should never have been allowed to happen, long before Mursal came to the US.

I'm just referring to his interaction with the boys.  I find it hard to believe he has made so little effort to try and relate to them.  I think we aren't getting to see the whole story really.

  13. Let's face it, any ad that shows employees happily responding to customer complaints (particularly as a result of some sort of head office initiative) is complete and utter BS.  No pizza place is "expediting" free pizza deliveries to correct mistakes.  I'm a cynical old bastard, lol.  I get very annoyed when employees in ads are shown to have a level of commitment and enthusiasm that is totally out of whack in relation to the actual importance of what they are doing.  Pizza shops aren't hospital emergency rooms.  The A&W dude bugs the hell out of me.

Here's a tiny little annoyance I just saw in an ad for those Endy mattresses.  There's a shot of someone unpacking one of the tightly-rolled and compressed matts from it's plastic wrap...by slicing the wrap with a utility blade.  lol.  Come on...I'm pretty sure that ain't the recommended method.

Oh, and am I the only one who finds these recent Shriner's ads featuring various errr..."differently-abled" (?) kids appealing for donations so manipulative they border on evil?
