That was such a good episode. Gotham has not done very well with female characters (ie 1st/2nd season Barbara, Lee) but Sophia is brilliant. Wow- I suspected that she was behind her father's murder but did not guess that she was the one who brought Pyg to town. What a fantastic character! Jim just needs to avoid women all together. They are his downfall. Wanted to slap Bruce upside the head for his treatment of Alfred. Alfred just broke my heart tonight. What a great job by both actors. The other thing that might break my heart is if Harvey is gone for good. With the exception of a couple of episodes, Harvey appearances have been very limited this season; I'm guessing it is b/c of what happened with the actor's child earlier this year. Does anyone know if Donal Logue is leaving the show? It seems Harvey has been written into a corner.

I don't know what to think about this episode. I did like the premise of the rape case; it was one of the more interesting plotlines in a while. Always good to see Barba in a courtroom scene. I thought it was ridiculous that the Monster (aka Van from Reba) agreed to a deal with Barba; no jury would have convicted him. Once again, the power of Benson persuaded him to give up everything just because she told him to so they can go after the real criminal in this storyline. Not realistic. Also, unrealistic was not having the catfisher being handcuffed when Carisi and Rollins were bringing her back to NYC; I guess they were preoccupied with other things... Which leads me to the Carisi/Rollins scenes. I don't even know where to start. Did I misinterpret the scene in the squad room after they returned from W. Virginia when Rollins was talking about having sex with people who are pains in the a** directed at Carisi; was she insinuating that they have slept together already? Would that have been why he appeared jealous when she slept with the bartender? Also, noted that she mentioned "dabbling" in MMA watching; is she returning to her gambling ways as well? I can deal with a "rollisi" pairing about as much as I can deal with hot mess Rollins. Too little of Fin again, but he did have a great one-liner about being allergic to W. Va. Too much Noah again. The whole next episode is going to be about Noah, Noah, Noah...

Thank you all for the laugh-out-loud moments I have had from reading your comments!! I was seriously delusional in my thinking that any showrunner would be an improvement over last year's showrunner. This guy is just continuing what the other one started. Barba is a shell of his former self; I miss my sassy, bold Barba. What a waste of Raul Esparza. Fin is still barely there; they delve ad nauseum into Benson's personal life but they can't even have a mention of his grandchild and they often forget that he is now a sergeant not just a detective. Rollins is turning into Benson Jr with her judgmental self ; she even channeled her inner Benson when she immediately jumped up and told Barba that he had to appeal the ruling in the case involving the drug rehab in the last episode. I almost miss screwed-up Rollins; keyword being almost. Rollins isn't staying on the straight and narrow b/c of her kid; it's because she doesn't want to disappoint Benson. Even Carisi is getting on my nerves lately. How sad that this is the entire core cast. My first thought about the big secret was the same as many of you: Lewis did indeed rape her. They are going to have to rewrite some history if that is the case; if my memory is still intact, right before she beat him to a pulp and she was still chained to the bed, she was goading him that he couldn't get it up to rape her. Honestly, I really don't even care; I think it's being overhyped for the eventual letdown.

Glad to hear something about Harvey. I was worried that we were going to see less of him this season, with Donal Logue's daughter missing for a couple of weeks (and fortunately found). Has anyone heard if Donal is missing a few episodes/even back to filming yet?
