  1. Simone is getting married too? Maybe she will opt out, since she's got wedding plans and she seems to get injured a lot. I know Alexandra left because of a family illness, but I don't get why Milan left. She already knew the time commitments required to be a DCC - she had a 4.0 GPA from her last year. So she auditions, makes TC, and starts the season THEN decides it's all too much? Leaves me wondering if something else happened and she stepped away. So we're possibly looking at 10 4th - 6th year girls, 11 3rd year girls, and 12 2nd year girls. (The counts are including Jinelle, Simone and Amy, as we don't know if they're planning on retiring or auditioning.) If everyone currently on the team auditions again (this obviously is no-knowledge of retirees speculation), that means 33 girls auditioning. Not a lot of open spots for Rookies! If all 2nd years up re-audition, that's 21 3rd year+ girls. That's really good upper level talent on the squad, one we haven't seen in a few years. The last couple years the squad has been Rookie and 2nd year heavy, so it'd be nice to have that stronger 3rd year + group back.
  2. Jinelle - You think Jinelle might be a 6th year girl? I can see her coming back to be with Lacey, since Lacey will be the only 5th year girl. I'm wondering how much roots Jinelle has in Dallas aside from DCC.... I forgot Amy and Yuko! I think both will re-audition. You think Savannah will audition again? Some how I just didn't see that from my impression of her in MTT S13. I hope she does. I know Christina will audition again, and hope she makes it. She tried really hard to be a DCC for so long. Even though I don't know that she's the entire DCC-dancing package, I hope she succeeds again. I wondered about Selina, but hope she can keep her weight under control so she can come back again!
  3. I guess I'm not getting your comparisons. Auditioning for an NFL or NBA squad is much different than auditioning for Broadway, or auditioning for the Rockettes. There are different paradigms for each group. Each dance platform has different expectations: there are expectations of power, performance and pop for DCC; precision and formation mirroring for Rockettes, acrobatics and flexibility for Cirque Du Soleil. A girl who has plenty of power and pop to wow DCC may have none of the exact precision necessary for the Rockettes, or the acrobatic skills needed to Cirque Du Soleil. I think each group is the top of their particular dance platform, and within their performance sphere are equally difficult to audition for. I'm probably looking at this from a way too detailed perspective.... :) lol
  4. Okay, I think I have this right: 6 years Jenna - Retiring 5 years Jinelle - Probably Retiring (I wonder if Jinelle will move back to Australia or stay in the US? Does she have a boyfriend or something here?) 4 years Lacey - Probably re-auditioning 3 years Chantel, Elizabeth, KaShara, Robin, Simone, Stephanie (I vote all re-audition, though I wonder if Simone will retire due to all her injuries...) 2 years Cersten, Heather, Jessika, Kelli, Kelsey, Khalyn, Madeline, Maggie, Selina, Tasha, Tess (Isn't Cersten the one who's planning on medical school? Maybe she'll be done after 2 years.) 1 year (Rookies) Alexis, Christina, Gina, Kalyssa, Keyra, Lauren, Lexie, Miranda, Molly, Rachel, Savannah, Tara (Somehow I kinda feel like Savannah and Tara are 1 year and done girls. Don't know, though.)
  5. Gina's definitely got a brace on her knee. You can see the top cutting into her thigh. Otherwise, I think she looks fine; like many of the other girls. Has anyone been speculating on who's going to re-audition? I know Jenna will retire. What about Lacey?
  6. I was surprised when I saw the vid of Dayton. She's a very fluid, precise dancer, but she doesn't have a wit of power. I hope she finds it quickly so she can practice her power moves before tryouts. I understand wanting to walk in the footsteps of her mom and dance for a team with the type of reputation DCC has. But Dayton doesn't have to be a mini-me of her mom. She may not be a power dancer, so her innate style isn't conducive to DCC. If she can't find DCC power, I hope she can find her own style, find her own dance experience outside DCC.
  7. I would think that after Amy, the contract would have been updated so that nothing was off the table regarding the girls and DCC. Maybe CMT just didn't go there. The show apparently only shows 8 to 10% of what happens in TC with 99% of the focus on Rookies, not Vets. If Erica acted out at the Hall of Fame, that episode was #11. There were only 2 more episodes to air during S13. It's possible that since CMT had already covered the Jenna/Holly stuff and the Vets prepping for and attending the HOF, they chose to focus the remaining 2 episodes on the Rookies and who would make the squad rather than yet another Vet debacle.
  8. She was "cut" because of drinking in Canton? Seriously? Wow. She really thought she wouldn't be caught after the shenanigans of Jenna and Holly? That Kelli and Judy wouldn't have eagle eyes on all the girls? I wonder why the series didn't show her cut then. They had no hesitation showing Jenna and Holly's fall-from-grace. Why not Erica's?
  9. While I agree that Erica is unlikely to become a DCC again, why would her chances have been "shut down?" As far as we know, she left DCC due to a back injury that needed rehab. There's been nothing - other than rumors during the Holly/Jenna rampage - that link her to any scandal with DCC. Has there been something substantiated?
  10. I do agree that underage drinking was a huge part of the Holly/Jenna situation. Yet, Paige dating a player was pretty huge as well. I was just highlighting that Jenna - as GL - was in a position of leadership and, as you said, should have been mentoring Holly, not enabling her. Danielle wasn't in a leadership or mentoring position with regards to Paige's indiscretion. :)
  11. Danielle may have, she may not have - we don't know because Danielle wasn't in a position that compelled/demanded she act differently. I was just highlighting the difference between Jenna dealing with Holly's indiscretions and Danielle's situation with Paige, and the chastisements that followed. And we don't know that Danielle wasn't censored for her lack of candor in the Paige situation either. She didn't become a GL till her 5th year. I thought that was odd. There is going to be LOTS of contract line-skirting with these girls, and has been throughout DCC history. These girls are on average between 20 and 24. They're going to underage drink and party when they shouldn't. As long as the girls are discreet, DCC management probably turns a blind eye to most of the partying. Kelli didn't just fall off the turnip truck yesterday - she knows the girls party, and she knows the most likely partiers.
  12. The difference in the situations, is that Jenna - as a group leader, and Group 1 leader at that - accepted a position of leadership and mentoring. She was expected to be a role mode, not only to the girls in her group, but too all the squad. It was her responsibility to lead Holly away from partying, and if her guidance wasn't enough, she should have gone to management to intervene and hopefully save Holly's DCC job. She was not supposed to participate in the forbidden activities with Holly. Danielle wasn't a group leader nor in any position of leadership when Paige was dating the Cowboys player. Danielle could have chosen to turn Paige in, but she wasn't in an accepted leadership position which may have compelled her to do so. I think Danielle made 2GL the next year, but wasn't a full on GL till her 5th year.
  13. When I first moved out, I moved from CA to TX. I didn't stay long because I missed home and family. Sometimes a first time move away from home can be overwhelming: too many new streets, new people, new everything. I high-tailed it back home! The next time I jumped states I was better prepared. I moved to WA by myself and lived there for 12 years! Just sayin' that the first time one moves away from family can be tough; so many unexpected situations happened. Sometimes a person needs to retreat to the familiar before one tries it again.
  14. I always thought Jenna stayed for a 6th season for Jinelle. Jinelle was the last of her class, and Jenna was the last one who'd always been there. JMO, of course. In watching the show, we all form opinions about what's going on, and we form opinions on the girls' reactions and their on-screen/on-the-field personas based on our own emotions and experiences. There will always be standard cattiness when living in close quarters with so many girls, but I think for the most part all the DCCs are hard working, genial women. Personally, I think Judy and Kelli chose KaShara at point because of her pop, her personality, and her infectious smile. She's obviously a good dancer or she wouldn't have made DCC in the first place. Judy/Kelli have said over and over that there's more expected and considered for those who make DCC than merely dance skill, so I don't get why people are disgruntled or surprised when a decent dancer who has loads of on-screen pop gets put in a prime position like point. I think KaShara has done a good job this season. Regarding Pro Bowl, was this position voted on by the team? I would have loved for Lacey or even Jenna to have gone, but it looks like the squad spoke. I do think Jenna should have been given another shot at point during the season, but then, I'm not allowed a vote! Lol But I wish Jenna so much more rewards in the future. She showed a lot of character by sticking out this year of DCC, and I respect her fortitude.
  15. Since this is DCC, I would also think that being a GL or GL2 would mean extra time and effort aside from regular DCC duties and time commitments. Maybe Simone and Chantel weren't able to make the time commitment. Just a thought.
  16. Ah, that's too bad. She worked really hard all summer to memorize and perfect all those dances. Life sometimes derails our dreams. I wonder if she'll come back again.
  17. Question for @ShellyB or anyone else in-the-know: Alexandria made the squad and danced in the pre-season games, maybe one or so in season. Then she got called home because of a family illness, obviously a serious one. So, if the situation became resolved and she chose to return, would she return as a Vet for next season (because of the circumstance) or would she need to start at the bottom again?
  18. So I'm reading the Alexandria left DCC because of a family emergency/illness? Must be pretty serious if she left something she worked so hard for and moved back home. I'm sad to see her go. :(
  19. I think Kelli really likes Keyra. "She's a powerhouse, dynamic" were some of Kelli's comments regarding Keyra. I think Christina and Savannah might have been the 2 cut ... except Kelli likes Savannah's looks.... So who knows! lol
  20. Kelli didn't say Chandler looked like a Grandma; that was Tina Kalina, Kelli's Rookie buddy. Just clarifying! :)
  21. Just gotta point out that DCC:MTT has never spent any time on Vets except when they're in trouble. So don't think they're trying to hide Erica. If there's ever been a Vet who left TC and the squad because of an injury, the series hasn't shown it. We've got 1 more episode, so maybe they'll show something next week, or maybe Erica asked they not show her leaving the squad. Guess we'll find out in a week. I've wondered this too. Of course, I don't know anything about their dance skills when they were younger, so who knows. Judy I'm thinking, yes. Kelli ... don't know.
  22. So there with you! lol I wish there were affordable fly-mini-cams, then I have them all over the DCC headquarters and Kelli's office. :)
  23. Since Shelly is DCC management, she shared Jenna's text with her "boss." I think Jenna might have considered the communication more confidential, but that was Jenna's mistake. But I get it. Most posters are anti-Jenna, so I'll put away my give-Jenna-a-break speeches. lol Yes, it's possible Jenna assumed Shelly would share the text. Or maye Shelly told her she'd shared the text so Jenna wouldn't feel blindsided. Guess we'll never know that one. And I agree with you, in that we here on this board are probably making a bigger thing of this than necessary. But then again, that's what boarders do, and considering the MONTHS of obsessing about Jenna/Holly/Erica, I think the Shelly/Jenna talk is pretty tame! lol
  24. I agree there's been a lot about how she asked about her future point chances. There's been quite a bit of the other too. I think young people just aren't taught about the proper way to approach those types of things; the "when appropriate" stuff too. We live in an age of immediacy, of Violet Beauregarde of Willy Wonka: "I want it, and I want it now." Appropriate timing seems to be lacking. So I can't really fault Jenna for being a product of the age, but wish she'd gotten some advice from an adult before going to Shelly with her question. Then again, maybe she went to Shelly for the advice, and if so, wasn't that a mistake! (Not faulting Shelly for forwarding the text to Kelli, just Jenna for going to "management" instead of asking someone outside the organization for advice ... possibly a former Vet she trusts?)
  25. There are a ton of posts criticizing Jenna for wanting to be point, that even over her poor leadership skills. I feel for Jenna, and losing out on the HOF was a huge deal. So her wanting to know if she'd forever lost out on point too is reasonable, though I totally agree she should have waited longer to ask the question. Guess I don't see why her asking the question at all makes her "selfish." So I gotta agree her asking at that time was wrong, but totally disagree with Kelli that it was selfish. When people screw up its not unreasonable to wonder how badly. I think that's what Jenna wanted to know. I also think there's a chasm between how poorly Jenna views her leadership and how Kelli views it. Istill don't think Jenna fully gets it, from her jumping the gun in her text.
