Yay! I finally got to watch this episode. (It was a busy week.) I haven't read anyone else's comments yet, but here are my first, uninfluenced impressions: * KITTY - Wasn't Kitty's portion of the finals episode short? Doesn't she go over the DCC routine anymore, or do they just not show that? * INTERVIEWS - I was surprised we didn't get more of the Interview process. * DAYTON - I felt bad for Dayton and thought she'd have been better prepared, with Shelly being a former DCC and current member of the organization. First time; maybe nerves torpedoed her. * HOT TOPIC - Kalyssa: I thought her explanation that she thought they were asking her the name of the first, first lady was either genuine or she can think very well under pressure! lol * BRIANNA - I thought Kelli took Brianna into TC - despite her kicks - because she wanted a closer look at her. Seeing her for a TT of 5 or 6 minutes across 3 audition process steps isn't a lot, especially when she couldn't focus on her completely. I think she wanted to see her in action doing DCC style to see how much she could grasp. If Brianna comes back next year, I think she'll definitely be better prepared. * REJECTED - I felt bad that Alexandra, Lacey and Briana (from Nashville) didn't make TC. :( * GIVEAWAY - CMT should stop showcasing the Vet who will be cut by featuring all her answers to audition questions. I know who's going to be cut just from that!

Thanks for taking the time to answer. Do you get OT pay for this? :) You may have answered this, but what will become of VR? A dance studio under new management, a DCC museum, or sold and torn down to make way for something else?

I don't want to read too much into Erica being one of the DCCs featured in the video, but I think she would have been edited out if she'd left DCC on bad terms. They've definitely had time to do that. Regarding job/school expectations for DCCs, I think those are genuine, and I think a lot of Dallas businesses make allowances for Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to leave early, etc. I know Melissa's research position made allowances for her last year. After all, Texas takes its football seriously! @SHELLYB - Will all future DCCs rehearsals be held at the Star, or will Valley Ranch still be used some during the week to allow girls with FT jobs ample time to get to practice? I know its about a 35 minute drive from city center to city center (Dallas to Frisco), but traffic will double that. Just wondering!

If Charlotte and Kelli had a problem with what Erica said regarding the lengthened drive to Frisco, the comment wouldn't have made the video. Seems like we keep thinking comments, behavior, who's on point, etc. somehow gets by Kelli. Don't think so. I'm glad Jenna is in the front row along with Lacey and Jinelle. While it's not dead center, it's still the front!

They've had several girls at point who aren't blonde, so I don't think KaShara's blonde hair was a factor. From several comments here, many thought that Lacey's more lyrical style might be the reason she wasn't given point - I don't have an opinion as I haven't seen Lacey dance solo enough to know. I appreciate your viewpoint on Melissa, though I must disagree. Melissa was called out twice for being one of the most powerful and skilled dancers in DCC history, even being likened to Everett Smith in talent. She earned her triangle spot in spite of being blonde. It wasn't a seniority issue either, as she and Lacey were rookies together. Of course, Kelli and Judy know and see much more than us about the talents and power of the girls. Considering Kelli's dedication to having the best squad possible, I don't believe she'd put anyone at point or in the triangle who wouldn't do it justice.

I totally agree that the retired Vets this year left a big hole. Amy T, Megan C, Melissa, Jenn K, Jessica ... all were terrific dancers, and Danielle was a solid presence on the field. I think they're going to be fine this year because they brought on some experienced dancers. It'll just take some time for the squad to gel. But as Kelli has said in the past, that's what Pre-season is for! Personally, I think KaShara at point was a choice based on several factors, the main being Jenna's incident. Whatever it was, it was serious and couldn't go unaddressed. While Jenna was able to retain her Group 1 leadership, it cost her in other ways. I also believe Erica's injury had an effect. I don't think "blonde" was a factor as much as KaShara's other leadership and outgoing qualities. Plus, she does have "pop" even if I think Jenna has a strong presence. I do think we'll see Jenna at point some time during the season, though. At least, I hope so.

I guess that was my comment - other than DCC sisters, has Erica and Holly ever been besties? Isn't this rather out of the blue? Here's my speculation: Holly and Jenna get called on the carpet for conduct and get taken off the HOF trip. Jenna knuckles under and takes her punishment. Holly gets angry and quits; a spur of the moment reaction. I think she later regrets that action, because I do think she loved being a DCC. Later in TC, Erica realizes her injury is going to take some serious rehab, speaks with Kelli and Judy, and pulls herself from squad. Now she shows open support toward Holly. ( There wasn't social media support for Holly till Erica was also off the squad.) Though I'm sure Holly has had other support from DCCs via phone calls, text and email. Guess we'll see something of what happened on MTT.

In the Barbie recipient photo, who is the curly brunette 3rd in from the right? Looks like Madeline, but she isn't on your list as getting a Barbie. Did she? Cause I don't see Lacey in that picture ... I think... lol

I noticed that Allie, Raylee and Heather H's DCC Twitters are down, but Holly's is still up. Erica's is as well. Guess DCC is waiting till those separation eps air...?

I must say I cringed seeing Christina's jump and hope her excitement in getting her long-held desire to be a DCC caused her to leap early during her first game day jump split. She worked so hard for this, I really want her to succeed. :(

Looks like a bunch of college age kids partying. Personally, I choose not to read "racism" into everything everyone does. But to each his own

I loved KaShara's "these shorts are shorter than my attention span" comment. It was very quick witted and showed a keen sense of humor. Most TCCs just squeal. Her Instagram pics rarely show her in "glam" look-at-me form, but rather focus on friends and family. Don't see what's wrong with that. That girls have a strong desire and want to thank God for their fortune - nothing wrong with that either. We see the comment over and over on their posts, so we get the repetition. Each girl has only said it once.

Once we get to know the Rookies, we'll have to start figuring out who the one hit wonders are (those who will retire after 1 year), and which are the most likely 1 year then cut girls. Hope that doesn't sound mean...

While grabalifevest was struggling to place the names (thanks for doing that!), I was trying to figure the Vet status!Are the years right? I get Tess and Bess mixed up all the time... please help me out if I'm off! ETA: Updated, thanks to grabalifevest!

I'm struggling with disconnect too. But DCC:MTT has just begun, so I hope I'll get to know the new girls better over the next 9 or 10 weeks.

I have to say that - while Holly wasn't my favorite DCC - I was surprised that I missed seeing her picture up there with the rest of the team! She certainly stood out with her looks, her snazzy haircut and her style. I so wish whatever happened didn't. And I miss seeing Erica too. Hopefully we might see her next year if she's able.

I forgot we already know here in the spoiler section who's on SG. Can someone who remembers refresh those of us who forgot...? :)

DCC is full of talent, so I don't think filling SG spots for those who are injured/left will be a problem. The show must go on.

Maybe someone could correct me, but weren't both Brooke and Cassie's leg region injuries, and they'd already had surgery? I know Cassie performed during the season. Didn't Brooke? Since l assume Erica performed at finales (will see the ep tomorrow), seems her injury might have happened during TC, and might be extensive enough to have her take a LOA, so to speak, to seek treatment and rehab. Guess we'll find out. I have difficulty believing behavior was a factor in her absence from the squad.

Seems getting on Kelli's radar is the thing. Erica had a lot of judges comments on her hair as well, if I remember correctly. But Kelli loved her solo. I don't get to see the episode till tomorrow, but maybe Katelyn's solo got lost; didn't stand out quite enough from the competition. Kelli said she hadn't noticed Kelly Quinn before, and she'd auditioned 4 times! Now she's a DCC and on SG.

I saw the appeal of Kali too. She was very gracious when she was cut, saying something like it was okay that she wasn't a perfect fit for DCC. That there were many other things in life she was perfect for and she was ready to explore them. Total class.

I'm sure most people wouldn't get offended at someone calling their post "crap." Anyway, its unfortunate humans rarely go with the "super simple" solution to matrimonial bliss, as US divorce rates attest. Anyway, back on topic...?

Well, I'm still hoping Holly will be on the squad, somehow. The team will be great without her, but I would just hate for her to have gone out in a bad way, if it's all true.
