So maybe my secret is to have 2 drinks before the show, but I actually really liked this episode. I've been sort of eh on Frank's whole plotline with the dying cancer doctor but even that seemed to hit the right notes tonight. I wish him the best on his likely disastrous trip to Costa Rica, although I'd be surprised if he makes it past the airport. I found Debbie and Mickey's scenes dealing with Sammie's (assumed) dead body to be hilarious. And while I'm sincerly glad she isn't actually dead, the lengths those two would go to to avenge Ian was sort of touching in a way. Ian being in touch was Monica in secret was also a nice surprise. They are absolutely toxic for each other at the moment, but considering all Ian's been though this season I'm just honestly glad he's not getting court marshalled. I'm still not 100% sure where Lip's storyline is going. I really like him and Amanda if only because she's age appropriate and a realistic way for him to get out of his family situation and make something of himself through her and her family's connections. His professor and her apparent harem of men do not seem to lead anywhere good and I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop next week. All and all I'm not really sure where they're building this season finale towards. I'm sure we're going to get some focus on Fiona and her romantic trouble's next week with Gus's return but I could honestly care less about them. Fiona needs to focus more on her actual family and not her parade of love interests but I know the writers have apparently forgotten that part of her characterization. Finales are always dramatic so I'm sure they'll be some shockers next week, but I'm really not sure what storyline(s) the writers plan to implode.

Count me as one of the confused as to how exactly the whole blaming random Chinese gangster for Tara's murder went down. My first reaction was that blaming the random for Tara's death was solely for the Grim Bastards President so that he'd go along with the kidnapping. I thought Jax asked Gemma to find one of Lin's men to blame it on because he wanted to start a war. Either he believes he has nothing left to live for and just wants to cause some damage on his way out as retribution for all that MC life has taken from him and convinced his club to go along with it, or because he thinks he can maneuver SOA to come out on top of the chaos of war. I'm secretly hoping Jax has his suspicions about Gemma in relation to Tara's death and is just waiting for the right time to strike. Because otherwise it's just Jax being stupidly ignorant about his own mother's abilities and I'd like to think after six seasons he's learned at least a little. If Gemma can't get her own personal retribution I just want everyone to die. No one is particularly rootable or redeemable in my mind and I just want them all to pay for all the horror they've caused to their families and the community at large. I'm sticking with this show because I've invested six seasons worth of time already, but if anyone is left standing at the end of this all I'm going to feel a little let down.

At this point I have to hope that Scott's physical weakness as an alpha is deliberate. Maybe being a "true alpha" sapped him on the usual alpha strength? Because a newly turned beta who has no idea what he's doing managed to get away from him multiple times this episode which is just ridiculous. I know the writers aren't the smoothest but the strength thing has become glaringly obvious so far this season. It could actually be interesting, story wise, if the coveted true alpha ends up being a handicap more than the ultimate advantage it's been made out to me so far. Overall I enjoyed the episode. Derek is at his best interacting with adults and even if his and the sheriff story seemed very separate from the teenager plot at least it was interesting. This show has a really well developed adult cast and even if we only see 1-2 of them a week it always brings more to the episodes. I cheered for papa Argent, I didn't expect him so soon in the season, and his interaction with Scott was nice. Those werewolf herding sonic sticks sure come in handy! I'm curious if we're going to find out more about the mouthless assassin or if we're just jumping head first into the kill list and he'll be forgotten about by next week. Doesn't sound like we're getting much more info on windigos so it'd be nice to get some back story on at least one of the new supernatural beings that keeps popping up in town.

I really enjoyed this episode, certainly more than the last two. High School really is this show's strong point and this episode hit on all the major points. I had been missing the lacrosse scenes, but agree that Danny's absence was puzzling. His only real use is as a stable high school support character, and the try out scenes made his absence obvious. Hope he'll be back at some point though. Other than that the try outs/studying elements really gelled, it's nice to see teenagers acting like teenagers for once and worrying about understanding algebra. I really wish we were learning more about Lydia's banshee powers. The Calaveras woman hinted at it in the season opener but we really don't know much of anything after 15+ episodes. Surely there's more than stumbling across murder scenes and screaming.The writers keep adding on new creatures with the addition of the (now deceased) wendigo family, and mouthless assassin but never explaining enough about them to feel like they form a solid mythology cannon. I'm hoping we'll learn more about them as the season unfolds but I'm not sure if it will.

That bugged me too. At the very least they have GPS in the vehicle (or just old school keeping track of the mileage if the money problems at the prison prevent such "luxuries" . I can't imagine Morello getting away with this long term since nothing about the break it was subtle, and as soon as Christopher goes to the police, she's going to be at the top of the suspect list. When Morello got in the bath tub with the veil I was really bracing myself for a suicide attempt and I'm glad they didn't go there. It would have really brought down the humor of the female anatomy lesson which was a real laugh. Anything that gets more Sophia on my screen is a plus, but the way it involved so many of the characters made it extra enjoyable.

That ending got to me more than anything else so far this season. Even though I had to go look up her name (Jimmy apparently) I had really grown attached to the character The outside world will certainly be harsher to her than prison without anyone to look after her or anywhere to stay, I'm almost hoping she ends up back at Litchfield, at least then I won't have to imagine her starving and wandering the cold streets at night looking for Jack. Other than that I enjoyed the episode. Black Cindy wasn't a character I was particularly interested in before this episode, and I can't say she's become a favorite but I'm appreciating getting more depth to characters that were relatively minor last season. There's only a few characters of note that haven't gotten their time in the back story spot light and I imagine most/all of them will be explored in the remainder of the season.

I was also getting a very old school Greendale vibe from the whole protest story line which I enjoyed. The brunette teacher I can never remember the name of continues to make an impression while only getting 1 minute of screen time an episode. Karma's fixation on Liam, and the pointless protest were sort of annoying, but were very authentically teenaged which is nice. Too often teen shows not only have 25 year old "high schoolers" (which I can understand from a production/casting standpoint) but also college/twenty-something story lines forced into a high school setting so it's nice to see them all actually acting 15-16. I always get nervous when the topic of bisexuality gets brought up, real world and other television shows have just show how very quickly prejudices and misconceptions can make things very offensive very quickly, but I think they handled it pretty well here. Shane was right that bisexuality can bring up a lot of insecurities, but he did it without making bisexuals seems less than, indecisive, or greedy which is a sad rarity I've seem in a lot of media.

I enjoyed this episode, you can tell it's all building up to a season finale which I'm sure will be exciting and hopefully tie a lot of these plots together. Mary finally growing a backbone and realizing she'll have to get her hands dirty to save her country was a nice turn of events. She's gone from begging for his husband's army to trying to win the favor a fighting force with a distrustful leader to straight up buying the services of a dozen mercenaries. I don't know if I see her becoming a mini Catherine but she's certainly on her way to becoming a jaded (but hopefully effective) leader. I knew as soon as Leif showed up in Francis' troops he'd end up with the promise of money and titles if he survives. Now it's just a matter of if he'll make it back to the castle before Greer's wedding (likely the night before to whisk her away) or just after the honeymoon for maximum heartbreak. Both have the potential for high drama. As for the rest of Francis' battle plot, I thought it was the weaker portion of the episode, it's not like the show was going to kill him so it didn't have much suspense. I'm not sure what to think about Lola's plot right now, her husband still seems a little suspect to me, it's one thing to marry a woman for her dowry but the fact that both his previous wives died in childbirth is just too big of a red flag for me. When Lola was pushing so hard to have him in the birthing room I was shaking my head, I'd want a man with his history as far away from my labor as possible! .

I really enjoyed this episode as well. Getting a better look of each girl's home life fleshed them out a bit more and I feel like we have a decent idea of both of them after only two 30 minute episodes (my jadded heart appreciated the glee slam on character development but that's for another forum). I had a few actual laughs and was proud of Amy for standing up to her mother at the end. I'm not sure if we're supposed to like Liam or not but he's certainly not winning any points with me. Both he and the blonde cheerleader have said some pretty cringeworthy things but at least her's are played for laughs. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to root for a guy who goes after someone specifically because she has a girlfriend. Other than that though I can't find much to complain about I'm sincerely enjoying it so far.

I think I honestly like this show, it's a pilot so there was of course lots of exposition crammed into a 21 minute episode but I enjoyed the lighthearted, accepting feel of it.Felt a bit like a high school utopia that I sure wish was around when I was in school, so I'll settle for experiencing the fictionalized version for 30 minutes every week. The "all guys like lesbians" bit make me cringe, but I'm hoping the show will fight against that stereotype as I think it's heart is in the right place; its honestly just refreshing to see a show like this on the air. Maybe I've just been waiting too long for a lighthearted teen show centered on queer women but I'll definitely be back next week.

Well that was one hell of a season opener! I'll need another re-watch to catch everything I'm sure I missed but first viewing was fantastic. I agree that Allison's comedic presence was a highlight. Her pepper spray/rape whistle scene had me in hysterics and I hope she finds out that Sarah used her as a distraction at some point because her reaction will be wonderful. Combine that with Felix high and in assless chaps and we had some real humor to balance out the fasted paced action that dominated a lot of the episode. I'm glad they hit the ground running, but the little moments were such a welcome return after such a long break between seasons.

That's an idea I could actually get behind. I really did like Stimmy's early story lines but adding a third identity, especially when his last attempt at a fake identity went so horribly wrong, just seems like overkill. I wouldn't put it past Shameless to pull an "evil" twin card, as ridiculous as it sounds, and it actually opens up to a lot of interesting story ideas where as a third identity feels like it'll just be a retread. I'll pretty much follow this show off a cliff at this point, but I'm hoping it'll lead someplace good.

I just caught up on this show and I have to admit, for a silly CW show playing fast and loose with European history, I'm actually really enjoying it. Catherine and Henry are always a highlight, but I'm hoping his insanity plot will be tied up by the end of the season, thankfully the bean queen seems to be gone for good. I'm hoping the fake cardinal will bring Henry back down to Earth a bit, I liked him as a self-obsessed power hungry king, but the actual insanity/visions are a bit much. Bash and Kenna were actually fun to watch for me this week, turns out the only thing I needed to find him bearable was to get him away from that horrid love triangle with Mary and Francis. Those two have more than enough drama on their own, I'll be happy if that subplot has been buried for good but knowing this network I'm not getting my hopes up.

I also liked that closing bit, I would watch the Captain Cook show with Starburns and I should probably be ashamed to admit it. Overall I thought the episode was amusing enough. I'm a bit bummed that Shirley got so sidelined and didn't even get to go to the underground lair. It was a bit too much "Dean heavy" but they've expanded his role a lot this season so I guess that's to be expected. I liked Abed's spin off/season/series finale references just because the show is so up in the air so I was thinking the same things anyway. I don't think the season held up to my Season 1-3 memories but if this was a send off episode it wasn't a bad one.

I found myself emotionally invested in this show for the first time with this episode. I'll admit I even teared up a bit when the red headed father volunteered. I somehow convinced myself a CW show wouldn't go so dark as to kill 300+ people (somehow forgetting that they had a child commit suicide after murdering a lead character last week silly me) and was genuinely surprised with the outcome. I really wish this show wasn't getting such horrible ratings because I'm actually going to be sad when this inevitably gets cancelled. The ark is still miles ahead in quality form the ground stuff, but I've found myself actually caring about the teenagers this episode. Missed the spear to the gut guy and his sidekick but it looks like they'll be back next week.

I actually almost liked Frank's ending at the lake, I could have done without the booze but thought the speech itself was actually kinda moving. The story line was never my favorite of the season but WHM is an incredible actor so I'd watch him read the phone book if it came to that. If the writers had to draw out Frank's march towards death for an ENTIRE SEASON, I needed something to bookend his miraculous survival, hopefully so we won't have Liver Cancer Part II next season. I'm just crossing my fingers that they give Frank something new to do next season, but knowing his character it'll probably just be more destruction of his new liver while Shelia shrieks in the background trying to find more children to care for.

Overall I liked the episode, guess I'm not hard to impress. Although I was a bit surprised that Fiona had already served 10-20% of her 90 day sentence (based on other story lines it seemed like 3-4 days to be) I should know better than to try to apply the laws of time on this show, at least we got confirmation on Fiona's age! Could have done without the Sammie/Shelia story line in its entirety, I like both characters in VERY small doses and that 10 minutes could have been more served developing story lines of core characters--like Ian What we did see of his problems was excellent, but I hope he gets more screen time next year. While I've been really enjoying his evolving relationship with Mickey I've been waiting for someone to pick up on the likely bipolar diagnosis for weeks and I can't believe we have to wait until next season to see any movement on a issue half the audience caught onto his first appearance this season. Not sure how I feel about the Stimmy returned yet. By the time he got on that boat I was pretty sick of him, but that may have just been the story line he was saddled with that season. Maybe he'll have something better to do next year and I can actually get invested in him again like I was in season 1.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I enjoyed the number (Downtown is a favorite song of mine), but this was a seriously male heavy cast, especially when you consider Adam Lambert who was heavily featured in the episode. The Sam and Mercedes scene at the end was nice, I missed Santana's snark but at least Mercedes delivered at the end there. Adam Lambert's scenes were amongst my favorites though, I'd sad to read here that this was his final episode of the season, his song with Kurt in particular was really fun to watch. I think they have more chemistry than Kurt/Blaine ever did but oh well, I've learned not to get attached to things in this show as it will inevitability turn awful within a week or two.

My gut reaction after watching this episode was that Kass made a horrible call that will cause her to be voted out in 2-3 votes but now I'm not sure. I still don't think she's in a good position to win, but she might be able to outlast some of the old Brawn heavy tribe.. Tony and LJ just flushed their idols, if someone else manages to find the Super Special Idol of Unknown Powers, I think they'll be big targets not only from the opposite alliance but from people like Jefra Trish and maybe even Woo who don't want to compete against the extra muscle. Plus if Tony is this annoying from one hour of footage a week I can't image living with him at camp would be very pleasant. Kass is still going to have a hard time getting jury votes, but I could see her forming a final three with Jefra and Trish to make it to the end. In other news I really enjoyed this immunity challenge, simple challenges are so much easier to follow than the obstacle course/challenge in 4 parts they seem to do often. I think Probst's twitter mentioned everyone having the option to wear shoes, Woo just happened to bring those super handy sock/shoe athletic hybrid which was very well suited for this particular situation.

My head cannon is that Mandy was still pretty beat up looking after the whole Kenyatta thing last week, and it's not like she has a stellar relationship with her father. Maybe she just wanted to avoid the entire welcome home/christening and lick her wounds in private. I'm hoping at least some of her screen time next week will be devoted to scenes with Mickey and or Ian and not just her horrible romance with Lip but I'm not counting on it. As much as I like Amanda, especially after this episode, I can't see the writers giving up on Lip/Mandy for good while both actors are on the show.

Have you tried the mobile version? I'd been having trouble with the on demand website for a couple of episodes for about 24 hours after it aired (maybe increased web traffic?) but the showtime anytime app on smartphones seems to work fine. Excited to see so many other ex lurkers from TWOP. I used to spend my lunch break catching up on the discussions in the forums but it was only with the switch to previously.tv that I decided to actually make an account and start posting, glad I did.

I'm glad someone with first hand experience found this (at least somewhat) believable, I wasn't really sure it was but found it sweet all the same. Did we ever find out where Bonnie's siblings slept that night? I know Bonnie spent the night with Carl in Fiona's room but that was a lot of kids to be splitting the couch/Carl's bunk, although anything's probably better than a van in the middle of Chicago winter.

To be fair they're something not quite right about pretty much anyone with an XY chromosome in Rosewood. It's been a while since we've seen Wren on screen, but I agree he's got to be involved with A in some shape or form. I'll have to pay attention to him more when he comes back, the vodka soda thing went right by me. I'm still hoping that the mastermind A is someone that's been around since the begining but we're running out of suspects, at least of the non-parental variety.

I enjoyed it. I really thought it was going to be a heartbreaking episode, so the fact that it ended on relatively positive notes for all non-Fiona and Frank characters was a pleasant surprise. I think I've finally gotten to the point where I can just ignore all of the impossibilities of Frank's story line since they're obviously not going to back down at this point. The fact that he should have died several times over this season by now, that he's sharing a hospital room with a little girl, that he was able to wander around the hospital unsupervised mere hours after waking up from a coma, it's all eye roll levels of unbelievable, but I'm along for the ride because at least this week it was amusing. Mickey continues to be a standout character, I'd been waiting all season for a Mickey/Terry confrontation and this certainly delivered. Their screaming match outside, paired with Mickey humping a cop car, was the highlight of the episode for me. His character has some so far since season one, I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens in the finale and beyond- both in relation to Ian and all the other storylines he's managed to get entangled with lately.

This season is such a refreshing breath of fresh air after so many combinations of redemption island and returning players. I like having to actively work to remember everyone's names and not knowing how people are going to react in different situations. I didn't know someone picking a fight with my least favorite player could actually make the other person look worse but Trish managed to do it. Quitting is almost always inexcusable to me when it's not medically necessary, but there was literally no reason for Trish to go on that rant right after tribal. I still think Lindsey should have stuck it out until the merge when she would be able to plot against Trish to her heart's content, but Trish certainly didn't make the prospect of waiting it out seem very appealing, even with a million dollars on the line.
