  1. Dean- Even if he didn't handle the Kristina situation so horribly, he still wouldn't be the Bachelor. The show learned its lesson with farmer Chris, you need a bachelor who can speak complete sentences and express himself. Dean can only communicate by giggling and looking vaguely into the distance. Derek- Poor Derek. The show never really focuses on the couples so we haven't heard too much from him, but it was rather alarming how much of Taylor's psychology 101 class has worn off on him. He talks like I imagine cult followers do, saying how much he recognizes her feelings and blah, blah, blah. Amanda- only in BIP does a woman who will abandon her children whenever she thinks a camera is around somehow get to make fun of a woman who's greatest sin is... Liking scallops? Jasmine - I'm so glad Matt game her his rose before leaving. I'd hate to miss all this wonderful material we've gotten from her. (Sarcasm) Chris Harrison - Give the man props for somehow never breaking character no matter how much bs he spews. He somehow wants us to believe that the show is about finding true love, then (once everyone is in a happy relationship) has no problem encouraging the twins to come in and trash everything. ??? the twins - oi vey. This show is blissfully tone deaf to the times. It still thinks every man's fantasy is either twins or a virgin. I don't get the point of them, except they do point out what a waste it is to bring new people on at the end when nobody is available. Jack Stone and Christen - oddly enough my favorite couple. They've been made fun of all season, for some of the dumbest reasons. Meanwhile, they're probably two of the more normal, level-headed couples there who seem fun and can actually processs thoughts and emotions. And good on them for brushing off the immature comments and just doing their thing.
  2. Why exactly does Jasmine "deserve" to be here again? After blowing up on the last couple of episodes she seems content to just hang out and do nothing. Honestly, this whole group isn't even trying to pretend they're here for romance. How many girls made out with Jack who are supposedly in relationships? Raven and Danielle at least, right? This season has been so lame.
  3. Also, dig a little deeper into the talent pool. There are a LOT of interesting, good-looking people that have appeared on this show. Don't just focus on the most recent season of the Bachelor/Bachelorette. Mix it up with contestants who don't already know each other. Every season the people that come on at the end get the shaft and go home immediately because, "bonds have been formed that are too hard to break." So break them! People coming on later need more time or options to stick around. Make the dates get progressively better over time, so there's incentive for people to go on them. I really feel like 90% of these "couples" are really just two people who feel reasonably comfortable that they'll keep giving each other a rose. That's not fair. Do something to entice breakups of weaker couples.
  4. I applaud these young women for their hard work and dedication. I don't know how they train and learn with the "instruction" they're given. "You were rushing, maybe even a little delayed," Kelli. WTF? How is that possible? I'm amazed these women can improve with only vague suggestions about what they're doing wrong. I thought that guest choreographer, Jordan, was ridiculous. He barely even used words when explaining what to do!!!
  5. What is wrong with this cast?! This used to be somewhat fun and cheesy, but these people are awful. Between Jasmine, Raven, and Alexis we have some of the most disgusting, disturbing, violent, and abusive behavior the show has ever seen. And for some reason the producers are promoting them as stars (or at least giving them too much air time). Half the girls are just mean girls making snide comments. Amanda is insufferable. Lacey thinks WAY too highly of herself. Most of these women seem to think its ok to berate, insult, and yell at men. And the men are too weak minded (or scared by what happened to DeMario) to stand up for themselves. Honestly, if any of the guys acted like Jasmine, would they still be there? Dean seems like an @ss. Daniel was funny last season, this year he's just rude and a total jerk. I used to feel sorry for Kristina, but it's pretty clear she's just physically attracted to Dean. If she had self respect, she'd move on, but it seems like she just wants sex. They keep dragging out the DeMario situation (I didn't even watch Corrine this week). And the show is half over and they've only had two rose ceremonies? And one of those doesn't really count since they brought in Daniel and Matt to keep more women. Idk, maybe after the situation, a lot of the backup contestants dropped out. Shouldnt this be fun?
  6. To be fair to Danielle, I don't think people told her Dean and Kristina were a couple. The advice she got was that Taylor and Derek were the only real couple, and everyone else was up in the air. She knew Dean and Kristina had been on a date and spent some time together, but she wasn't told Dean was off limits. In any event, Dean could have respectfully declined the date offered if he was truly into Kristina. I put it on Dean being a tool. I agree with the poster above. I doubt Dean "planned" the half birthday cake. He was probably put up to it by producers. He doesn't seem all that bright. I'm not sure he's as bad a guy as people on this board are making him out to be, he's just a little dense. He probably thinks his relationship with Kristina is casual, and that he's made himself clear to her. Of course, I don't think he actually HAS been clear. And that's why he needs a good kick in the butt to sort things out.
  7. "I swiped through, like, 700 people. I even tried signing up for that site for celebrities, but they rejected me. They put me on the wait list." I don't know how any man can hear that and not go running away. Amanda's not even trying to conceal the fact she's a fame whore who thinks she's better than everyone.
  8. I hope this season picks up, because right now everybody is pretty dull and boring. I'm surprised how few people are even making an effort to connect with someone. The guys talk about how cutthroat the rose ceremony will be, then seem more interested in hanging out with each other, rather than talk with the women. It look a lot of women are content to hand out roses to friends, with only a few realizing that this could bite them in the butt the next rose ceremony if their friend doesn't reciprocate. It's odd, ABC knows who is interested in whom (it's been shared that they ask contestants who they're hoping to see on the show). You'd think they'd do a better job of bringing in a group that wants to hook up with each other. Especially in the beginning before people settle in. A couple guys are fighting over Raven, but even that seems lackluster. And Robbie doesn't have a chance. Snooze
  9. Kick off couples who have been paired up for awhile. Bring a date card with a name on it, but the person doesn't know who is waiting for them. Or, at least bring in a new contestant with him/her already picking who they want. No, "Who is left?" After everyone pulls the newbie aside and steers them away from couples.
  10. C'mon, give the girl a break. They ALL came on a reality show which means they all wanted to be on TV. I don't get why Bugsy gets called out, specifically. You really think Hannah just wandered onto a boat that happened to have cameras on it? They all had reasons for auditioning for this show. It looks sloppy and unprofessional. One, to find out the chief stew messed around with (at least one) charter guest. And, two, that that relationship wasn't kept private. Chances are they would have laughed it off, but what do you think Capt Sandy would think of Hannah if the next charter guest DID show her the iPad? Even if the guests didn't mind, I'm guessing Capt Sandy would have been appalled.

    S12.E03: Finals

Glad Dayton didn't make the cut, she was nowhere near good enough. Her dancing was unimpressive and it seemed like the best comments the judges could make were excuses as to why she was stressed. ALL the girls were stressed and had stuff they were dealing with. Glad she didn't make it just because of her mom (who shouldn't have been on the sidelines or in the room for cuts. Were other family members allowed for other contestants?) Didn't care if people screwed up politics questions. This was a highly contentious and controversial election. A LOT of people didn't vote or tuned out because of the ugliness. I'm surprised they asked so many questions about politics, rather than just focus on football stuff. I didn't even realize Katlyn didn't make it until I came to this board. I guess I wasn't paying attention and just assumed. Didn't hear a negative thing about her (except she needed a makeover) and she seemed ahead of most of the others with technique, power, kicks, and routine. Head scratcher. Another post mentioned people were split on Holly. Anyone know about this? She's not my fave, but she's a great cheerleader. I'm not sure what conflict could be with her. If I go back and look, I'll probably agree with other posters about ppl who were cut/not cut. It did seem like the overall talent was pretty high this season, so maybe these decisions were coin flips.
  12. Unimpressed with the reunion. Hannah should have been held to the coals more on what she did. She kept deflecting that it was all Bugs' fault for parading the iPad around, but I continue to make the case that if Bugs doesn't find the iPad, and it's left for the next charter to discover, then Hannah is in even BIGGER trouble. And she lied by omission to Capt Sandy and still hasn't apologized for her actions. Adam never really apologized to the crew, either. The "Sprite" thing is a dumb excuse. Those were the nicest guests of the season and their requests were minimal. Lauren came off the worst (ok, Bobby did). She's not a "people pleaser". That would mean going out of your way to help others. She's just an immature girl who's used to being in cool cliques, which basically means talking bad about people behind their backs, agreeing with whoever happens to be in the room, and not having the confidence to tell the truth and speak your mind. Her actions made the situations worse, not better. She deflects everything and has no backbone.
  13. Haha. Thought this episode was great! I missed it in real time, so watching it late at night it was perfect, because I could fast forward through almost all of it. Are Carly and Evan the least cared about couple in Bachelor history? I mean, I barely remember most couples, but I have ZERO interest seeing these two or hearing them speak. Evan is creepy (but genuine) and I don't trust a word out of Carly's mouth. The very special sit down meeting was pointless. ABC should have made some legal statement at the beginning then just moved on. Nobody looks to the Bachelor for guidance on consent. Hope it works out for Taylor and Derek?, but I always ff dates. I'd much rather watch the Sh!tshow on the beach then two people having dinner. Which left about twenty minutes of actual show. I can't stand Amanda, so I'm probably biased, but I can't stand girls who say, "I can't make it clearer than...." But then DONT state things clearly to the guy. Just tell Evan what you told the camera? Why beat around the bush when you have a chance to speak openly, and then mock the guy behind his back for not picking up on your vague comments. I agree he seemed aggressive, but I hate how this show puts all the blame on men for failing to read between the lines. Why are barely any people even TRYING to meet someone? I understand, there aren't a lot of great options, but the guys should be worried about not getting a rose, and the girls should be worried about not getting screen time. I don't understand what Alexis is doing on the show, she seems completely uninterested in doing anything but provide snarky comments. And I'm not sure why more of the guys aren't worried. Someone needs to sit Jasmine down and counsel her. She has real issues that need to be addressed, and I'm being dead serious. She continues to "flirt" by threatening violence, and seems genuinely unstable. If she were a guy, her behavior might land her a lawsuit. Someone got into Raven's ear that she was going to be the star of the show. I liked her on the Bachelor, but now she is just too conceited.
  14. I said it before, but I'll reiterate Dean's point that Nick was an idiot to dump Kristina. Not only is she gorgeous, but when you hear her tell her story you know she can deal with anything life throws at her and she'll be strong as hell. During his season, Nick basically had to choose between her and Corrine (a woman who's had everything in life handed to her and doesn't value/appreciate anything she has in life, and has zero work ethic) and decided Corrine was more his type. What a dumbass.
  15. Did this happen or was it just implied? In the beginning, Bugsy mentioned she had been chief stew but I don't remember her saying she should be chief stew instead of Hannah. Adam said it and Hannah kept implying it, but I don't really remember Bugsy saying it explicitly. I could just be forgetting it, though.
  16. Also, how quickly we (and Hannah) forget. Last year's "MVP" was Daniel, so it's not exactly the ringing endorsement she thinks it is. Let's be honest, Hannah is the face of the crew, so she's going to get all the credit from the guests when the charter goes well. Regardless of how much effort she, personally, puts in. And last year the captain made Daniel put his tip in the general pot, because all tips were shared. Hannah wasn't exactly being egalitarian here, though the Captain did make it sound like she voluntarily put her tip in.
  17. Didn't like Hannah's comment that Bugsy shouldn't have settled for being second stew if she didn't like Hannah's work ethic. That's NOT the issue. You can have issues with your boss without it meaning you want their job. And, judging from how other people talked, it did seem Hannah didn't pull her weight. Even Lauren didn't stand up for Hannah so much as just say she didn't want to ruin her friendship. How Hannah can't read between the lines on that is beyond me. Malia is shady. I can understand having mixed emotions in the beginning, but she failed to take any responsibility for her actions and continued to lie to Wes. I truly like Wes, but he needs to realize Malia is selfish and self-centered. She will NEVER have his back and will treat him like garbage whenever it suits her. But, Wes has been warned, it's on him now. Two charters and Jerry is a tool. Typical rich old dude thinking he can buy pretty young girls. It's creepy how both men and women tacitly understand this relationship and try to play each other (the men hoping the expensive vacation leads to sex, and the girls teasing sex to get a free vacation when they know they won't reciprocate). Lauren sucks. Here's an idea, BE HONEST! Tell people what you really think and don't talk out of both sides of your mouth. Hopefully she gets called out at the reunion for playing both sides of the fence all season.
  18. My two cents. Taking away feelings for the crew before this episode, both Hannah and Bugs were wrong and both should apologize for their actions. I'm sick of these shows having two screw ups and then spend the rest of the season fighting over who was "more" wrong, and somehow validating whatever was "less" wrong. Bugs ys should have stopped reading the iPad once she figured out what was going on and brought it to Hannah. I'll even give her credit, and justify her taking it to Bobby first, because she could have felt it would turn into a case of "she said, she said" with Hannah and Bugs might have thought Hannah would somehow use this to turn against her. Bobby has a relationship with Hannah and should have softened the blow when confronting her. Hannah was unprofessional, not just with the kiss but obviously with the texting. And if memory serves, she only confessed the kiss to the captain. As someone else mentioned, what if NOBODY on the crew found the iPad before the next charter and the GUESTS were the ones reading through the text messages for amusement? Bugs acted shady but Hannah put the crew at risk. Neither can claim the moral high ground. (Lastly, I like Hannah, but I don't think it's right for her to now use her position to treat Bugs poorly. I've had a lot of bosses, but the best ones never use their position to exert their dominance over their subordinates. Both Hannah and Kate have this problem, imo.)
