  1. Being rich and famous (and living in LA) definitely changes things, but it will be interesting to see how Flagg ages with all this. Marriage and kids isn’t for everyone (I’m single and likely to remain so), but I do think as we get older the constant “dating” and “newness” of relationships is what gets boring and the ability to grow a relationship and family over time is what is new and exciting. Not saying there’s a right or wrong way to live your life, I just wonder if Flagg will truly find happiness never really committing and always looking for the next thing.
  2. I skipped last season and this season, but prior to that Christine has never sold a house on the show. Maybe she did last season, but by the end of season two I think she was the only agent who hadn’t sold a property (on air at least)
  3. It’s likely. They’ve been moving in that direction for years. Now that they have some personalities it’s much easier to just film family stuff than real estate. If you want real estate porn I suggest you check out Enes Yilmazer or other YouTube channels. There’s some cool stuff out there. It’s what I wish these shows were, anyway.
  4. It will probably be a mix of Tracy as a powerful girl boss who is also a victim every time she doesn’t get what she wants.
  5. Great actors and great filming. That being said, a show about the birth of the Showtime Lakers should be more fun than this. Magic Johnson is racked with self doubt and insecure, Pat Riley is a loser with daddy issues, Jerry West is a rageaholic with daddy issues, and Jeannie Buss is (I guess) the brilliant, young white women who’s going to solve everyone’s problems (if they would JUST listen to her). Oh, and she has daddy issues. I feel like this is a bit of a bait-and-switch as the trailers and previews clearly portray a show about a fast flying NBA team from the early 80s that partied hard and would become a great team. Instead, it’s falling into the same Hollywood tropes every show and movie is pushing these days. It could be so much better than it is. A shame.
  6. I haven’t watched this show in years, but the fact that you thought this sent shivers down my spine wondering how bad this show has become? (And it was never great)
  7. Never been through a divorce but a lot of it “doesn’t make sense” until you hear how lawyers get involved. My guess is he asked for spousal support as a defense for when Bobby asks for spousal support. I don’t understand divorce, but know that once lawyers get involved “amicable separation” is almost impossible. As for the breakup itself, like most on here I liked them together and thought they complemented one another. I do think Josh changed, but if children was an issue and where they each want to live is an issue than those are two pretty big hurdles that would break up a lot of couples. Without knowing more, I can’t really blame either for breaking it off. Neither is right or wrong, they just want different things (again, this is assuming there isn’t more to the story). Hope for the best for them both. Bobby can still meet someone and have a family in Palm Springs and Josh can move on (though he may have trouble finding someone like Bobby again).
  8. You’re missing my point. This is historical fiction. The TV audience is supposed to believe in her, not the other characters in the show. That’s where the fiction part and the actor is supposed to take liberties to make the story believable. Instead, she’s so cloying and grating that the viewer can’t buy any of the other stuff on the show.
  9. I’m out. I guess the scene on the balcony with Chase was supposed to be her “Braveheart” scene. The scene where Anna rallies Chase to her vision and convinces him to follow her into hell with her, but it was just so flat and uninspired. She wants to be an art influencer? That’s her big goal that sucks people into her orbit? This scene, combined with the yacht scene where rich people constantly fawn over how supposedly amazing she is, while she’s not actually all that interesting, is just painful to watch. I feel like this is one example of how even crowdsourcing these scripts would have led to better writing and decisions that what this is. Rich, world touring, New York socialites get scammed and want revenge while also not being publicly embarrassed. Somehow Netflix made that boring and plain.
  10. People seem hung up on whether the accent is authentic or not, but the point is that it doesn’t matter. The point is that it’s awful and doesn’t work as a storytelling device. We’re supposed to believe this character is other worldly charming, charismatic, and captivating but every scene she’s in she just sounds like an obnoxious brat. The over-acting by the other characters pretending to be charmed by Anna, while Anna is dull and listless makes this unbearable. I watched two episodes and I’m still not entirely sure the extent of what Anna did, what her motivation(s) were, why I should care about any of this. And that’s over two hours of storytelling with no direction! Agree that Vivien seems clueless. She clearly should have picked up that Anna kept saying “VIP”. Also, she was enthralled and fascinated with this story enough to fight for it but it didn’t dawn on her that Anna would be on Instagram? And the writing is so bad I can’t tell if Vivien likes Anna, believes her, is using her for the story, is charmed by her. It’s ok if the character changes her feelings over the course of the story but she just seems aimless. She doesn’t even seem to have an angle for this story other than she’s determined to write it.
  11. It really all depends on his “next big project.” If he never appears on TV again (not likely) or gets his own show on Bravo or Netflix (possible) then a lot of the questions on this thread get answered. I, for one, think he gets his own show. I’d never watch it, but putting him on two franchises suggests Bravo values something in him.
  12. All I can think of is the reporter from the Simpsons when Krusty announced he was retiring. “But Krusty, why now? Why not twenty years ago?” 😂😂😂
  13. If the ratings are decent they’ll probably turn this into its own show and keep the original, too. All these companies want more content. Maybe that’s why they brought Fredrik in, because Bravo knew they’d be pulling the Josh’s away and wanted to bring in a “known quantity” to replace them. If that’s the case, I give Bravo credit for planning this far in advance. I mean, back when they wanted to build a show around Lisa Vanderpump she just pitched them to film her staff and they created Vanderpump Rules. They didn’t really do a “trial” show. Same with Below Deck and other spin-offs.
  14. To be clear, I think the events happened just not in real time as we saw them. My guess is Bravo and Josh knew what was going on and Josh was dealing with the fallout. But I suspect Bravo planned the phone call on the plane so that Josh and Josh could discuss it on the show. And I think Bravo asked Josh to handle calls in Aspen while they were filming. These shows are highly manipulative and lazy when it comes to filming. They aren’t filming 24/7 hoping to catch stuff, they set up scenes and have the people hit their marks like any other actor. You see it in Made in Chelsea all the time. I forget what show it was, but there were witnesses reporting the Bachelor of some show where the cast was going through the scene over and over again to get it right. It’s not scripted, and there is reality to what’s going on, but Bravo definitely cuts corners to get what they want.
  15. Really liked the first J and J episode, but could already see by ep 2 that they’re trying to drum up more Drama. Look Bravo, all we want is hardworking people doing a good job and some cool real estate. That’s it. Keep it simple, stupid. The first episode was quick and focused, the seller didn’t get fake offended that they had to sacrifice some potential profit to sell quickly, the buyers weren’t fake postering that the house was way overpriced and would never sell. And episode 2 showed we don’t even need to see deals get done for this to be entertaining. I don’t think Josh and Josh will actually fight enough to mess up their friendship, but the previews suggest there’s some manufactured Drama coming up (Altman is purposely late to teach Flagg a lesson and so they’re both angry just because). As for the Fredrik stuff, I’m guessing he did leak the story but doubt we saw it happening in real time. I’m always dubious that they get these “surprise” phone calls while the cameras just happen to have a scene staged. My guess is Fredrik spilled the beans which is a jerk enough move, but that Flagg was already on his way out and the news didn’t hurt him as much as they’re projecting. Like having Bobby and Heather around to balance things out. They bring a better energy than having the other realtors there. I’m not sure why, but on this series it’s much more evident how much plastic surgery Bobby and Flagg have had. I worry what they’ll both look like in another 5-10 years. Oh, and I can do without Dr. Drew on the show. I get that they wanted to bury the hatchet between Josh and Josh but Dr. Drew just seems like a poor choice given all his controversy.
  16. 2018 is when they began filming season 1. She joined knowing they were filming or had a deal for a reality show and has probably been trying to get on screen since joining.
  17. Apparently there’s another agent from the Oppenheim group that’s going on the Bachelor. And Emma was just an Instagram model who went out, got her RE license, and joined the OG for the show. I’m beginning to think the Oppenheim Group solely exists for reality tv and social media 🧐 https://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/bachelor-contestant-works-at-selling-sunsets-oppenheim-group/amp/
  18. Hate to break it to you, but Flagg has been getting plastic surgery since before he was on the show. If you go back to the first season he was on he talks about getting a chin implant and (I think) a nose job? I lived in Florida (boob job capital of the world) and always said boob jobs were “gateway surgeries”. Girls would get boob jobs as high school graduation gifts, and then a few years later start getting Botox, fillers, etc. Once you’ve had one procedure done it must be a lot easier to convince yourself to get more and more.
  19. Happy holidays, everyone!!! Hope everyone is safe and sound and enjoying some time off with friends and family.
  20. I haven’t seen it, yet, but did it seem like a one-off event or a trial to see if there could be a spin-off? I’d miss seeing James and David (and the more elegant homes they represent) but I’d much prefer a version of MDLLA that didn’t involve Tracy and Fredrik.
  21. All things considered, that’s probably a plus for James and David. Really rich people on TV always have to worry if people like them for their money or fame. The fact that James and David’s families don’t seem super materialistic and don’t seem interested in being part of the show is actually probably signs they’re in healthy relationships. James’ wife seems like she doesn’t mind occasionally being on screen, but she doesn’t ever try to get in the middle of the drama and pick fights. In fact, when James and Fredrik were fighting at Fredrik’s party she was off to the side laughing at the whole thing.
  22. He really had only himself to blame for his downward spiral. Everything was going fine, he was even the one who initially suggested Altman and Heather date. Then he got paranoid and tried pushing that insane narrative that Heather betrayed him because (shocker) she wanted to grow professionally and wasn’t satisfied being his underpaid assistant forever. (The same thing happened WAAY long ago in an early season where another assistant left Madison for more money and career growth and all he could talk about was how unfair it was for him). All he had to do was be a decent boss and he’d probably still be on the show and be a cast favorite, but I guess a tiger always shows its stripes.
  23. 100% if Heather left it would be for ANOTHER show, probably with Tarek. I don’t think any of these people care about the real estate aspect of things and are making decisions based on what gives them screen time. With so much content in the world I expect Christine and Heather are already trying to negotiate their own shows (maybe on Netflix but who knows). There’s really very little tying them to the format of SS. Paris Hilton just launched a show for Peacock that’s absolute low rent garbage, but it’s on TV 🤷‍♂️
  24. It’s been my experience that new reality shows have about 1.5 seasons of originality before they devolve into what every other reality tv show is. I guess what I’m saying is I’ll be checking out Selling Tampa that just dropped on Netflix and hope it satisfies my real estate porn addiction more than this series does.
  25. An older episode was on of the first season Tracy was on the show and he didn’t seem comfortable with the cameras or having his family on TV. Maybe it’s the reverse cliche in that Tracy is going through a midlife crisis and wants the fame and young boy toy while her husband just wants to raise his family and go through life.
