  1. How do I heart Job, the computer hacker/drag queen/all-around badass? I would count the ways, but there are just too many of them, so I'll just narrow it down to one: Job is fierce, whether it's a fierce queen, a fierce hacker, a fierce enemy or most of all, a fierce friend. Job also teaches valuable lessons, such as never interrupt a drag queen, especially when she's lip-synching to Sylvester.
  2. There are many fabulous things about RuPaul's Drag Race and the quotes are among them, to put it mildly. One of my favorites was from Season 4, when Willam responded to fellow contestant Phi Phi O'Hara's attack on her with a very blase' "Your tone seems very pointed right now." Another is from the Season 2 "reading" challenge, when Juju Bee said that her competitor Raven was "legendary," as in "leg" and "dairy." Post your favorite rants, raves and reads here. To quote Latrice Royale, "The shade, the shade of it all."
  3. Make room for another TWoPper! I've been a RPDR fan from the start and my favorite queens are Bebe Zahara Bonet, Nina Flowers, Shannel, Jujubee, Ongina, Pandora Boxx, Raja, Manila, Zahara Davenport (R.I.P.), Jessica Wild, Chad Michaels, Jinxk Monsoon, Alaska, Ivy Winters and Latrice Royale. As for this season, my Top Three are Bianca, Ben De La Creme and Adore. My nominees for this season's Miss Congeniality would be Joslyn Fox and Trinity K. Bonet.
  4. While I've tolerated Laganja in the past, her belief that Adore belonged in the B3 for her rap on "Oh No She Betta Don't" put her in the "Hate" category for me and she's gotten on my last nerve ever since. Laganja reminds me of Shangela and Serena ChaCha-two queens from past seasons who not only weren't as great as they think they were, other queens called them on it in Untucked. Laganja's getting eliminated this week was richly deserved and long overdue. The other queens, especially Adore, tried to help her the best they could, but they could only do so much. Especially hilarious was Courtney's "We could have handled that better" after Laganja stormed off because it remined me of Willam's "Your tone seems very pointed right now" response to PhiPhi O'Hara's dissing her on Untucked.
  5. Speaking of Black Widow, her beating up a whole team of security guards in the time it took for Happy, Tony Stark's bodyguard, to finish off one in Iron Man 2 was classic.
  6. Sharna to Cody Simpson, about his wardrobe: "Pull your pants up!" As if I couldn't heart her anymore.
  7. Who are your favorite Movie Star crushes? One of mine is British actor Tom Hiddleston, because he's not only a great actor, there are several other reasons: He can sing, as he proves here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzWka42mP3k He can dance, as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GaO0oMniMQ And he's adorable, as shown here (with a little help from Cookie Monster): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_ubVVnWglk Another favorite of mine is Benedict Cumberbatch, who, like his pal Tom Hiddleston, is talented, cute and British. Honor your favorite big-screen objects of affection here.
  8. Just when it seems like Sonny and Carly couldn't get anymore despicable, the Anniversary show and yesterday's episode, where they basically danced/pissed on AJ's grave, proved otherwise. Sonny's murdering AJ is bad enough, but him getting away with it and Carly's letting him "for Michael's sake," causes me to hate them at "flames-on-the-sides-of-my-face" levels. If either Sonny or Carly dares to show up at AJ's funeral, then they should burst into flames. If that's not an admission of guilt, then nothing is.
  9. Dance shows not only count, some of the best dance numbers I've ever seen have been on dance shows, including the one you posted.
  10. There are some great fight scenes in the Charlie's Angels movies, especially the alley fight with them Vs. the Creepy Thin Man in the first and the docks fight in the second.
  11. Well, it's official. AJ is dead and so is the little respect I had for Head Writer Ron Cavrilati, because chances are, AJ's death will become All. About. Sonny. The only ways I will even consider forgiving RC for killing AJ would be if AJ's death was just another mass fake-out to get him out of the country and if he destroys Sonny. I mean utterly, completely and permanently destroys him. I want Sonny to not only lose, but to lose everything, especially Michael. I want Michael to betray, renounce and ultimately reject Sonny for killing his real father, which AJ will always be, whether Sonny likes it or not. I don't want Sonny to just feel bad for killing AJ- he should suffer as much as possible, for as long as possible and if it's Michael's doing, then that's even better.
  12. Besides the dancing, some of the best moments on the show involve words. For example, from last week's episode: Tom, about Val's communication skills: "When Val is asked to translate anything, it's a sign of the apocalypse." Another, from Len, re Meryl Davis: "You're nice on ice, but you're also good on wood," which was equal parts funny and cringe-worthy. Post your favorite quotes from the show, past and present, here.
  13. If TPTB do wise up and invite Tristan back, I would be happy if they gave him at least one age-appropriate partner who could keep up with him.
  14. Many movies have moments that touch the heart, whether they're expected or unexpected. The latter applies to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, all of which had IMO, great endings with touching moments, whether it was Commissioner Gordon telling Batman at the end of Batman Begins that he never thanked him and Batman said, "And you'll never have to," the end of The Dark Knight, in which Batman basically sacrifices himself to save Gotham City with a reluctant Gordon's help or the end of The Dark Knight Rises, in which Batman not only made another sacrifice to save Gotham, which devastated Alfred, but he made it up to him by making Alfred's greatest wish for him come true. When it comes to your picks for the movie moments that make you warm and fuzzy, do it here, because sharing is caring.
  15. What are your favorite TV dance sequences? One of mine is courtesy of The Tonight Show, in which host Jimmy Fallon declares a ban on dancing, which guest Kevin Bacon not only opposes, he does so by doing a mash-up of some of the most iconic dances from Footloose, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T2FpCDlyNg That scene proves that Kevin Bacon is not only a great actor, he's still a great dancer-and he's not too bad on the eyes, either. Talk about and/or post your Favorite TV dance numbers here.
  16. Music can make almost anything better, including TV shows. One example of this is the use of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" in both The Sopranos finale and Glee. In the former, it was part of what is one of the most controversial TV finales of all time while in the latter it has become like the unofficial theme song of sorts for the show, whether it was in the first episode, Rachel's Funny Girl audition or as a tribute to the Glee Club's faculty advisor, Will Schuester. Most of all, now that both shows have lost their leading men, I can never hear that song without getting a little misty-eyed, if not crying altogether. Whatever your favorite TV-related moments with music are, talk about them here.
  17. What are your Favorite Movie Fight scenes? Some of mine happened in the Kill Bill movies, the first was The Bride Vs. the Crazy 88s, then Go-Go Yubari and finally O-Ren Ishii, the second was Beatrix vs. Elle in Bud's trailer, the latter of which was brilliant in all its crotch-kneeing, snuff-tossing, eye-gouging glory. Chat about your Best Movie brawls here-but be civilized.
  18. Question: What are your thoughts on the romances of Port Charles? One of my favorites is Julexis. They may have had a dubious beginning with Alexis and Julian conceiving Sam in the back seat of a car, but their reunion has definitely made up for it, IMO, especially the kisses and Julexis sex-or rather, the start of it, anyway. Here's the thread to discuss the romantic relationships of Port Charles, from the sublime (Julexis) to the ridiculous (Patrick and Sabrina) and all those in between.
  19. When it comes to Michael "Sonny" Corinthos, Port Charles' local gangster, how do I hate him? Let me count the ways: I hate how he talks trash about other characters when he's usually just as bad or worse. I hate how he treats women, especially when there's name-calling, barware-throwing and "Bullets Of Love" involved. I hate how he uses his children, whether they're his or not, to justify everything he does. I hate how he breaks the law time and time again and gets away with it. In other words, Sonny Ruins Everything. I would go further in depth about how much I hate Sonny, but the news about TWoP's shutdown has made me too sad, so I've decided to wait and grieve for now, but knowing Sonny's track record, he'll piss me off all over again in record time. However, anyone who wants to elaborate about Sonny's numerous sins, vent here.
  20. Another great part of movies is dance sequences, whether they're from musicals, such as Gene Kelly's iconic number in Singin' In the Rain or not, like John Travolta and Uma Thurman's twist to "You Never Can Tell" from Pulp Fiction or Leonardo Di Caprio's popping and locking in The Wolf Of Wall Street. I loved all those scenes because they made me smile, whether I expected them or not. Post all your choices for Favorite Dance Sequences here.
  21. One of the most popular threads in the TWoP movie section is the one for Favorite Music moments from the movies, but since it's shutting down, I thought I should start a new thread here, hence "Remix." They could be from actual musicals, such as Maria and the Von Trapp children's rendition of "Do-Re-Mi" fro The Sound Of Music, or from other films, like the scene in Reservoir Dogs, when Mr. Pink cuts off the cop's ear to Steeler's Wheel's "Stuck In the Middle With You." Ever since I saw that scene for the first time, I've never been able to listen to that song without thinking of that scene. Music is also used to emphasize the mood, such as the theme from Jaws, before the shark attacks or the theme from Psycho, just before Norman killed someone. Post your picks for the Best Musical Moments here.
