    Dean

I looked for an adequate topic to post this in but I didn't see one (unless there's a sub forum or something). I'm still learning how to navigate around these forums! If there's a place to discuss this, feel free to have my post moved! I just started watching GG and I love it. I just finished the episode where Rory wants a night to herself to do laundry and order Indian food and Jess and Paris and Dean end up coming over. Am I the only one who hates Dean? He is a psycho! So clingy, getting mad at her for every little thing, his bad temper. If this was any other show, I would expect there to be an episode where he locks Rory in a basement and holds her hostage or something. I don't know if they wrote him that way on purpose but he's got the qualities of a controlling abuser. I'd take Jess over Dean any day
  2. Setting aside all nitpicks, I enjoyed it a lot! I will stick around.
  3. What is this show coming to?? A youtube personality? Ugh
  4. And yay, Gabby angst! Oh, wait. I'm not excited for that. The rest is curious though
  5. Maybe they'll introduce a new female character? I don't know but with Gabby's character at the forefront and with all the crossovers it makes me not want to watch the show. I'll watch DWTS, thanks
  6. Same, ugh. I shall reserve judgment but I'm not thrilled.
  7. I would almost go for this LOL, but I do like Gabby. I just didn't like the way she was written in S2. If they make her more season 1ish I would tolerate her. And Jesse does angst well and I wouldn't mind seeing it, but from the teaser photos I've seen on Instagram (unless they're old and I just have no idea) I think Severide will be getting the angst storyline. And more Lindsey. Joy.
  8. "We are so screwed." One of my top favorite episodes
  9. Man, this is one of my favorites of season 2 and I can't explain why. The creepy little girl from the 4400, the "I'm not going to poke her with a stick!" The Shining-esque bar scene. Dean making Sam out to be a doll collector. "Big time". It stole my heart when I first watched it. I didn't like Sam pressuring Dean at the end, wailing about his DESTINYYYYYY, and I hated that he got all drunk and whiny, but I love this episode.

  11. That gives me something to look forward to! I heard seasons 6-7 were pretty awful but you've encouraged me. And I've heard season 5 is great so good to know I have stuff to look forward to
  12. Hahaha, I already can't wait to be caught up so I can rewatch the good stuff. I saw that it was on Netflix so I thought "Ok, I will finally catch up!" I have been trying to stay fit so I told myself I could only watch episodes when I'm on the elliptical. Well, I've lost 12lbs marathoning this show. I can't get enough!
  13. To be honest, I'm not crazy about the crossovers. I hate that. I don't care if Taylor Kinney and Sophia Bush want to appear on every show ever, but I don't want to have to watch every show just to know what's happening on Chicago Fire, or else I'm out.
  14. I didn't have anywhere to put this really, but the thing that struck me upon starting season 1 over was DAMN, the boys looked YOUNG! Sam was a baby in Season 1! I agree with mstaken, I loved their relationship in the first few seasons. I remember squeeing in the first season when we'd get an almost-hug, I smile just thinking about it (feeling like such a dork right now!). They cared about each other, genuine concern, and still had moments of genuine fun together. I'm in season 4 now and I'm hating their relationship. I haven't watched the later seasons yet but I'm sad to hear it apparently doesn't get much better. So much damage has been done that if / when this show ever ends, I really worry how they'd even fix and humanize the brothers and their relationship (my best friend is all caught up and spoiled the S9 finale for me). I'm trying to enjoy the show and the episodes for what they are, but I miss the format of S1 and 2. It's like the X Files - the stand alone episodes are mostly great, but once the arc starts getting so convoluted, the myth arc episodes just get so not fun to watch. I loved so many Sam and Dean moments - in "Nightmare" when Dean is all worried at the end, in the earlier episodes of Season 1 when he would let Sam drive the impala, their practical jokes in "Hell House", in the "Mystery Spot" episode when Sam gets all depressed and reclusive over Dean and sews up his own wounds and stuff. Solid gold, man. Solid gold. *Sigh*
  15. Dean's worried look at the end - gets me every time
