  1. Man my heart breaks for Aneesa because I would love it for her to just get to a final for once but I think it's over for her. I did like her calling everyone out for shitting on her to her face during the group circle. Just because it's true, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. Also I liked her pointing out how it was all WOC. It used to be barely any women and rarely any WOC got any respect in this game and look at the past few seasons? Kam and Kaycee are in demand. That very rarely happened in the past. I hate that Big T stayed with CT. I would have dumped him again. He did that whole show of picking her again at the beginning of the show and then started crapping on her for not running fast enough during the challenge. Ugh. I'm hoping the final has nothing to do with partners and it's every person for themselves. Fessy is starting to feel like the new Zach. A dude who thinks because he's big, he's the shit. But he hasn't proven anything yet.
  2. I cheered so hard for Aneesa and Kyle when they won because they were set up so hard for failure that I liked that things got turned on its head. Plus it feel so odd that most of the teams just happened to DQ but not Kam/CT & Leroy/Kaycee after all that talk about how either of those teams needed to win to protect the other. Not saying anything but just saying... I was said to see Darrell go but wow Cory was ready and really kicked some ass. My feelings for his win was how I was supposed to feel about Nany's win. I had to laugh at both Nany and CT complaining about their new partners after they were so excited to drop their other partners. Aw, Kam and Fessy aren't living up to your expectations? They won't just let you do whatever? I was hoping Big T was going to turn CT down because it would be hilarious. Here's hoping the Cory Curse doesn't hit Kam.
  3. I really hope that isn't the case but that's how it feels. I don't know why they are working so hard to absolve Alice of everything. So what happens next, they reverse the brainwashing and she becomes good? Then you write her off the show, yes? I'm not a fan of this. Alice is who she is because of the trauma she went through as a child (including finding her mother's head in a freezer!) and not because some jealous lady brainwashed her.
  4. The Cory Curse strikes again. Jeez louise man. Poor Big T. Fessy: Gabby is my boo thang. Cory: Cause Tori isn't around. I always feel bad for Aneesa at this point. She survives the eliminations and yet always gets screwed at the finale. I'm glad she didn't throw herself on her sword and match herself up with Cory. Fuck the rest of them. She has every right to be on that challenge just like everyone else. None of them are the casting agents. This isn't their show. And honestly there's a whole list of people I would rather never see back on the Challenge that are constantly on whether they run a final or not. I remember Zach talking a big game about weak women and then gassing out during a final. I just hate the way they talk about Aneesa all the time. I wasn't feeling the "isn't this awesome" moment with Nany's win either. I've never liked how she always wanted to wait for the perfect time to go in but it comes it's not the perfect perfect time which is why she's always going in at the last moment and usually loses. I was rooting for Gabby. Mostly to break the Cory curse of course.
  5. Ok I thought we were going to go that way during the scene where they talk about the lion. I also kept waiting for anyone to mention a DNA test or something.
  6. I just watched. I wasn't happy with the early lines about Akeem not being a real man because he only had daughters but the movie picked up from there. I wouldn't say it was good but it was fun for the most part. I wish they hadn't spent so much time doing callbacks to the original movie. There can be a case of too many references. But it was a cute movie and just what I wanted on a Friday night at home rather than paying to see it in a theater. I also noticed some scenes from the trailer weren't in the movie.
  7. I wonder if Devin picked Darrell because he knows he was the swing vote that got him put down there and sending Darrell doesn't create that many waves in the house. Can't pick Kyle because he didn't vote him in, Fessy and Leroy would bring too much static down on him via Kam and Kaycee, Cory and Nam weren't options, Josh was already down there.
  8. A few years ago I realize that my office is literally right next to the original loft they filmed in and I was so excited! And then I found out they filmed this show in that same loft and I was so bummed because since Covid, I've been working from home since last March. If it wasn't for this I could have seen them coming and going and maybe be in the background of a street shot, lol. I loved this cast so much. I was a kid when it aired but I had such a crush on Eric back then and wanted him and Julie to hook up. I'm glad they didn't because once RW became all about cast members hooking up it all went downhill for me.
  9. I'm glad I watched live tonight because whew, talk about a rollercoaster episode. I was so happy that Josh was sent home (super fast wow) and that even if Devin had to go as well, he left needling Josh one last time. But then CT had to turn into a gigantic asshole. He could pick Kam all he wanted but the way he did it was so fucking rude. I loved that Big T called him on his bullshit apology (the Coach Carter line had me dying) because it was crap. He promised her he wasn't going to trade her and then he broke that promise and humiliated her in the over the top way he called out for Kam. Whatever to Kyle's hurt feelings though, no one cares. They've been seeding the storyline of Nam's back issues in the background of his scenes with Lolo for a while now that I'm surprised they finally had to send him home. I'm just a little surprised they waited until after Lolo left. I thought he would have gone first. Poor Nam but at least Big T doesn't have to do that all night challenge. I would take that as a win.
  10. It hit me this episode that Ryan is the only one who doesn't seem to know she's in a comic book show. She's the only one having real world reactions to things, lol. I swear she wants to quote Zoolander and ask if she's taking crazy pills. Everyone else is like sure, let's work with Alice even though she's a dangerous killer because she's a major character that we have to keep around all season. Or how despite every single thing the Crows have done to Ryan and Lucius Fox, she needs to just suck it up and work with them. I did not like Ryan's ex so I'm glad they are broken up. She let her go to jail and I guess after a "my bad" and a few nights together it's all good?? I'm not a fan of Alice and her long lost lover story. Jacob's reaction to Mary's clinic is why none of his kids confide in him. The search for Kate and the island with the healing flowers and Ryan's infection is coming together in a way that makes sense for him. I wondered why they were doing this kryptonite infection storyline. Sophie taking the map with her instead of stashing it somewhere safe along the way (hell even lock it on the car) was stupid. That's something that has always bothered me. There's supposed to be a GCPD still, right? In the original crossover they stressed that the Crows were just private security for rich people because Gotham was so dangerous that the police was useless. Instead on this show they act like the cops and Crows are just a nickname for GCPD officers.
  11. I don't know where to start with this episode? I mean, "I want the goof!" LOL, I love CT sometimes. I wish he could have gotten what he and I wanted. I feel like MTV is starting to paint Josh as the sad misunderstood underdog and nah, I don't think so. Can I say I was actually shocked that Kyle didn't pull a weasel move and vote in Devin? I thought he would side with Big Brother because of Kam and her connection to that through Leroy. But they both burned votes? So I'm confused. I am disappointed in Derrell though. Big T flying through the air on that rope with that huge smile and then killing the swimming was the best thing ever. Then casually dropping her pole dancing class and swim team history? Loved it. I don't know which was funnier, Josh missing the rope or Devin or both! I never want to see Josh trying to push up on Nany ever again. You ever hear of the saying, "is he hot or is he just tall?" Josh isn't tall enough for that to be even be a factor in my eyes. I'm glad Lolo left the show. It wasn't good for her. She kept seeing it as another form of the Olympics and girl, it's not, it's really really not. Now Nam is free! Unless he messes up his back and has to leave as they keep hinting at. Also Amber can join Kam and Kyle and shut the fuck up about wanting to get revenge for getting their gold skulls. Freaking Lolo quit the show because she was never getting a chance. CT is about to go and take one from his own alliance member. Stop whining about being blindsided when you won! If the security breach is Ashley returning again, I will scream.
  12. I would like them to figure out what to do with Santamonica and Johan that isn't them falling something silly that Dee or Harrison tells them and spend the whole episode working on whatever it is. Last week it was going to hell and this week it's rooting for divorce. I wonder if they are doing less with the kids because of covid. Can't do a lot of school scenes I guess.
  13. You know that inside Josh is so happy he finally has a Challenge nemesis after all those seasons of trying to force Wes into it. And at least Devin will have fun with it. Wes clearly did not care. Also I'm stunned that Nany and Josh had all their totems early and still couldn't figure out the puzzle. What were they doing with that extra time? Devin's game was really bad this week. Wow. Gabby should have just gone down. The curse of Cory strikes again! Nam and LoLo are too dramatic for me. She's treating their team up as either a full on romantic relationship or a dress rehearsal for one outside of the show.
  14. The Curse of Cory strikes again! At this point just stop giving him partners, it'll be a lot easier. I was rooting for Theresa to win because I'm just about over everyone in the house and like Devin, I choose chaos. Amber B (? Darrell's partner) trying to act like it was her plan that got Theresa voted in was sad. Girl, Kam plotted that out, you just went along with it. Otherwise Gabby would have been the house vote. You're not that smart. If you were you would have listened to Darrell and got the house to vote in some one you could beat in the elimination in order to get your skull. Either people are throwing away their shot at skulls or they're like Kam and Kyle, still trying to plot revenge for basically getting their skulls. Also Theresa is the toughest female competitor? Really? I don't know why they kept trying to make that happen. Lifetime Burger King is gross. Just give me the money.
  15. I thought this was a really good episode. I think they did a good job with the material and I loved Mo calling Zoey out for making him do her emotional heavy lifting all the time. Zoey had a come to Jesus moment with the realization that even if she can read people's heart songs, she still has a long way to go. The big townhall being tone deaf white people was dead on. I would have liked more with Tobin because I feel like we just scratched the surface with him. I also like the end of the episode they made it very clear that no, racism isn't now fixed. And I wonder if we'll ever see as many black people in another episode as we saw in the big performance at the end.
  16. Kyle and Josh walking around acting like they did something big made me laugh. Kyle literally only beat CT because CT knew that Big T was never going to beat Kam so he obviously didn't give it his all. And Josh, if Mechie could have figured out a slider puzzle (dude) he might have put a bigger challenge. Like both of you, shut the fuck up. Also both CT and Lolo are running around bitching that no one wants them to go into the elimination and get their skulls while Kyle, who has a skull, is holding a grudge that he was made to get a skull. Again, STFU Kyle. I was so proud for Nam for faking out the guys and getting that idol. He actually gave CT a good fight. I hope CT gets his skull from Josh because that would be fun. Trivia up next?? I'm so excited.
  17. I agree, we're really missing the random stranger of the week Zoey has to use her powers to help. I guess they wanted to her to deal more with her grief over her father but this show is made for her to throw herself into helping others before finally breaking down and dealing with her own issues. Let's go back to that. I immediately thought of that episode and now I want to do a rewatch of that show. It was so funny. I thought it was interesting that Simon was upset about being pushed as the face of the Chirp issue because he was one of the only black people in the company while in a scene where the show had to gather together the only 3 black characters they have in order to have this discussion. I'm surprised they didn't have Jenna and Emily stop by looking for Zoey and get pulled in. Jenna deserved to be fired for that stunt but at least it led to Maggie getting out of that job since the guy was an ass.
  18. Still really liking the dynamic between Luke, Mary, and Ryan but I'm hoping that this means Luke will finally ease up on Ryan a little. Stop taking his worry about Kate out on her. The new suit and wig is a good look though either do more red highlights or just drop them completely. You can barely see them. They did a good job of centering the plot of this season around Safiyah. Everyone has some kind of connection to her and everyone has now heard her name. I liked Zsasz as a villain and I kind of hope he comes back soon. Ryan knowing him on sight because of her past was a nice touch. That Jack Napier shoutout, does that mean we'll get a look at the Joker after all? Ryan's got a job, she'll probably get an apartment next week, ok let's now move into her love life.
  19. It turned out to be nothing but I loved TJ dumping the votes from the guys who didn't even try in the game. The guys have sucked this year so much, If Leroy didn't go down to the elimination after talking all that junk about how dare Theresa and Jay send in his girl who still got her fucking skull I would have been so mad. And to talk about sending in Nam? I hope Jay comes back next season and never teams up with Theresa again.
  20. After a lot of people talking about it, I've started reading The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. I don't read a lot of horror type books so I think that's why I'm having some trouble getting into it. I kind of skip over the really gory stuff.
  21. Mary talking Ryan through how to pose like Batwoman was pretty funny. I kind of like her and Luke's indulgent parent/strict parent vibe they got going over the Batwoman persona. It's awful that Ryan and Mary can bond over Alice killing their mothers though. I love that Mary is still angry as hell about her mother's death and clearly had been keeping it away from Kate. I was surprised that they had Ryan figure out the Alice=Beth secret so fast. I thought they would wait to drop it as a big moment or just never have her find out. Sophie and Jacob Kane are still the worst. The ending with Ryan reading Kate's Bruce diary aka all her voice overs from last season was a nice touch. I guess the voice overs are coming back?
  22. I don't know why but Nancy agonizing how she doesn't know she is anymore bugged me? She's the same annoying person she was before she found out she wasn't a blood relative of the Drews. Her having the same hand tic as her biological grandfather doesn't change anything. And if she doesn't consider Carson her father anymore despite him raising her, why is he moving out of his house that he paid for and why she still driving his dead wife's car? I don't know. I think I was just in a very irritated mood while watching this. I also didn't realize George and Nick were hiding their relationship from Nancy. She went off and had a whole other boyfriend (even if he died) and they are clearly going for her and Ace next. Be free with it guys!
  23. I kept wondering if that was her at all. I don't think it was.
  24. I guess I'll stick around and see where the season goes. I think the storyline most impacted by Ruby's leaving was Tommy's with how quickly everyone figured him out and he was gone by the end of the season. Shame, I would liked to see more fake Bruce. It was awesome seeing a Batmobile again. Ryan was fine but the big number speech in the tunnels was cringeworthy. I could have done without it. I do like that she has a connection to Alice. BTW Alice's original plan for having Jacob shoot Kate? Pretty good. But her destroying him with the truth that Kate was Batwoman the whole time he was railing against Batwoman was also pretty good revenge. ETA I hope that after an episode or two we can skip ahead a few months so that Ryan is settled into the role of Batwoman. We just did Batwoman Year One, do we have to watch it be learned all over again?
  25. Once again watching the show late and tossing in some thoughts before reading the rest of the thread. I think it was messed up for TJ to not tell them if it was a guys or girls elimination day. Every other time they have that information from the start so that they can decide for sure who they want put in. But Devin had to have figured that the show wouldn't give Meechie two free weeks off and that it would be a guy's day. While I enjoy Devin messing with Josh cause fuck Josh, I don't get his problem with Amber M. Like who is she again? Josh getting drunk and paranoid about Jay made no sense. How many rivalries is he trying to start? And did he really think Devin was going to vote him down into the elimination and give him a chance at getting a skull?? Damn, Fessy is really bad at this game and at the game of picking up women.
