Clickbait In the Media: 10 Things You Need to Know!
AnimeMania replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Clickbait
Clickbait is an eight-part series filmed in Victoria Australia. Clickbait explores the dangers of social media that allows us free range to explores our most dangerous and unfettered impulses and reveals the ever-widening rifts we foster between our real-life and virtual personas. The series tells the story of Nick Brewer (Adrien Grenier), a man with a loving wife, two sons, and a beautiful home. Then one day he disappears without a trace. As his wife (Betty Gabriel) and sister (Zoe Kazan) start looking for him, a livestream shows up of of a badly beaten Nick holding a sign that says, "I abuse women. At 5 million hits, I die." Is this a threat or a confession? Or both? Are the allegations true? Do they prove the seemingly perfect family man has something to hide? Or is this part of a twisted game by the kidnapper to illustrate the dangers of social media where society is quick to judge every media sensation? As the view count quickly surges, panic sets in. Another video is released and things intensify even more. Even Nick's loved ones are left wondering if Nick really is the kind, loving man they believed him to be. There are multiple sides to a story so you get to see Nick's life from several different points-of-view. Can Nick's wife and sister come together to save him before the media sensationalism completely impedes their efforts. Clickbait premieres Wednesday, August 25 on Netflix. -

What show doesn't Michelle Gomez make better? If you can't wait for her to appear as Madame Rouge in Doom Patrol Season 3, Sept. 23 on HBO Max, maybe this can hold you over.

Andor, a tense nail-biting spy thriller created by Tony Gilroy, is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022. Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will be joined by a fantastic new cast that includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma. Andor will serve as a prequel to 2016's Rogue One, which saw the spy join forces with a ragtag team of rebels on a suicide mission to steal the Death Star plans from the Empire. In the movie, Cassian remarks he has been fighting for the Galactic Rebellion since he was six years old, and since then, he has gotten his hands dirty for his cause. Andor aims to tell this story, with the bulk of the series taking place five years before the events of the film. Andor has finished filming in London.

And another thing, if the mistress was going to the "Reminiscence?" center often why didn't they just wait outside for her to show up and follow her home. No need for a 3 month long "super con" "honey trap".

She slid them off so easily makes it seem to be clip-ons. But they showed a close-up of the earrings, they were not.

Hugh Jackman is extremely tall, he looked like a monster when I first saw him walking down the street. The lady that left the earrings did not have holes in her ears to able able to wear said earrings. The richest man in Miami said he would take care of his mistress, why is she living in the worst of the worst part of Miami? I am not sure why there were not bridges to connect building on on side of the canal to the other. There were a lot of people and not a lot of people, I couldn't figure out why. It seemed like a lot of buildings were empty, even though people didn't have places to live. The movie had a solid hour worth of material, too bad it was two hours. Maybe the movie should have taken it's own advice and stopped the story somewhere in the middle.

The Amber Ruffin Show - General Discussion

The biggest change seems to be that Amber now shouts her lines. She seems to be overexaggerating everything that she says, when before her comedy was a little more subtle. -

I heard a rumor that the second half of Leverage: Redemption was returning in October, l was looking for more info and couldn't find it, but found these instead, Enjoy! I watched the movie Reminiscence on HBO Max and part of the plot is the main female character leaves behind a pair of earrings and that gives the main male character a reason to find her and return said earrings. Is it weird that it bothers me so much that every time they do a close-up of the main female character's ears there are no holes for earrings. I am becoming obsessed. How was she wearing the earrings, were they hanging the same way you hang Christmas Ornaments on a Christmas Tree?
