Human Resources is supposed to be "edgier and adult-ier" than "Big Mouth". Human Resources pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures — Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more — that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves.

The thing I didn't like about the movie was when they introduced the new Eternals at the end they were God like deities that we were familiar with, we have legends of an Eros and Leprechauns why not choose some powerful characters that felt like we hadn't encountered them before.

The in-episode title card read "First Contact" although everywhere else the episode was titled "First Con-tact". The episode provided some backstory and put the Protostar back on the Diviner's radar. The Protostar should be so far away from where the Diviner is located that knowing their position should not be that big of a deal unless he puts a bounty out for people in that sector to capture the Protostar for him. This would alert everybody in the universe to the Protostar's position and anybody that really knows what the Protostar can do that it has returned. Which might cause major problems.

Not the best episode but it gave you a lot to think about and set up the rest of the season. If the senator was as strong as the portrayed him to be, Vigilante's toe should have popped right off regardless of how dull the shears were. There was an end credits scene after the end credits scene, a preview of what's upcoming for the rest of the season.

Not very interesting, but I think Peacemaker got his jetpack. You better watch out Mothra! Peacemaker's stolen records should have been dust after his getaway. The dog with the guitar was cute. I did like the end of credit scene. There is always a scene after the end of the credits, make sure to watch them.

I really liked this, just when you are starting to feel like you are in the real world, they jar you back to the world of the superheroes where anything is possible. I was surprised that Peacemaker gave the taxi driver his helmet, he was at his home, he could have gone into the house and found him something else, maybe a Glock, a Katana or a Handgrenade. It did give him another reason to go and visit his father, although Eagly is more than enough reason (stealing the show). I loved the improvised karaoke scene with microphone. I did not see the Peacemaker aftershow podcast “Podly” on HBO Max. I will have to check back later to see if it is there. James Gunn is the guest.

S01.E03: Chapter Three - The Streets of Mos Espa
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Book Of Boba Fett
Yes, a poor street gang because they spent all of their money on new colorful Vespas with way to many mirrors and an addiction to being a cyborg through enhancement by robotic attachments. Their actions in the episode suggest that none of them thought to add some extra CPU power by using A.I. from a cybernetic brain. Are they more Scarecrow than Tinman? I never understood why the Tusken Raiders were so upset that the train drove through their desert, it is a big desert, and the train was only there for 10 seconds, hide behind a sand dune so that they can't shoot at you and the Tusken Raiders would have been fine. It is not they didn't have advanced warning that the train was a comin'. -
The Afterparty is an eight episode murder-mystery comedy series premiering 3 episodes on January 28 on Apple TV+ with the remainder of the episodes dropping weekly every Friday. The Afterparty was created by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, who are also the executive producers. Chris Miller is also the director and the showrunner. The series is centered around a murder mystery at an afterparty of a 15-year high school reunion. “Our goal was to tell a comedic whodunnit story in a new and exciting way. By giving each episode its own unique style of storytelling, we were able to make what feels like eight distinctly different but interconnected films that highlight how everyone’s personal perspective and biases shape how they see the world.” Codes and puzzles are hidden throughout the episodes to give you clues to the killer's identity. Tiffany Haddish plays Detective Danner, who has to make sense of it all. John Early plays Detective Culp, Detective Danner’s overly-eager partner. Sam Richardson plays Aniq, a loveable escape room designer who hopes to reconnect with his high school crush, Zoe. Zoë Chao plays Zoe, a former artist turned school administrator who is newly separated from her high school sweetheart. Ike Barinholtz plays Brett, Zoe’s ex-husband, an arrogant, former high school athlete. Ben Schwartz plays Yasper, Aniq’s relentlessly positive best friend who dreams of a career in music. Jamie Demetriou plays Walt, ignored throughout high school, Walt attends the reunion with hopes to be remembered. Tiya Sircar plays Jennifer #1 who happens to be pregnant. Genevieve Angelson plays Indigo. Illana Glazer plays Chelsea, the former high school valedictorian and class president. Dave Franco plays Xavier, once a dorky high school drama student, now a famous pop star and actor and the person who was murdered and fell off a cliff.
