  1. Did anyone catch the additional person overseeing the black team's food preparation.  Wore short sleeve chef's jacket and no apron.  Didn't see an extra person doing the same thing with the winning red team.  Just wondering about this.

It's too early for me to have an opinion on the chefs but not too soon for me to snark on the judges and optics.    I did not like the two judges on the ends of the judges' table.   The one on the right (next to TC) was incredibly annoying.   I could not pay attention to anything he said because  of the ridiculous white framed glasses he wore.   I couldn't stop staring at them and kept thinking "Why?

Bravo gets a giant fail for staging their event guests.   Obviously they were trying to imitate Kentucky Derby attendees but they sure weren't dressed for it.    I couldn't see their clothes up close but they looked meh.  However, we were able to see the hats and they didn't even come close to Kentucky Derby standards.   They were tacky and cheap.  Maybe they blew their budget on the house for the chefs.    That was impressive!

Thought the same thing.  This was one kind of really rock bottom in appearance kind of group.  Bravo could have done much better in staging this event.

Tell me about it. Grace is just irritating and always me-me-me, my needs. This episode started pointing towards the end of Ben and Grace, and not a moment too soon.

I liked this episode, for the amount of detective work that was involved. It was pretty intense too with the crosscutting between Cal and the Bulgarian guy. I was dreading that Jared was going to snicth on Michaela, but thankfully, that wasn't the case. I want Jared to be part of the Michaela, Ben, Saanvi, mystery-solving team. Also, hopefully Vance will finally start to become useful.

Great to hear.  Thought it was just me who  can't stand the character and the person who portrays her.

Well, it seems that this actually did suck all of the assh*le out of him.

I do love that Ray was the first one there and that all of the stupid pettiness went right out the window. That's real life. When something like this happens, all of the BS melts away.

    Jason's mom was awesome.

I looked her up, because I thought she looked familiar, and though she has a long IMDB, I haven't watched any of the series she's been in.

Also, she's only 17 years older than David.

Thought the same thing.  I knew her from staring in Homefront in the 90's when she was a lot thinner then.

    OK, I'll start.

I thought Yuma was a perfect location for this show.  While not exactly Antarctica, it's off the beaten track for food shows, and the community seemed to want to turn out and have fun.

(Here comes my inner meanie...) Did anyone wish the New England guys had dropped that door a little harder?

That's too funny.  Actually thought the same thing myself.

I was going to say the same thing.  I seem to recall her saying at the beginning that her main job was to be outside roping in customers.  She didn't seem to be doing much of anything else.  Her high-pitched nasal yelling would keep me from even bothering to look at the menu.

The only person worse from the standpoint of approachability was the bleach-blond guy with the neck tattoo.  He seemed nice enough but looked creepy.  Mom was really the worst offender though.  Mundane tuna sandwiches and the heat in Las Vegas?  Um, no.

    The horrible accent was terrible.

No.   Ask the child's input on the flower colour, or what you should serve for dessert.  The dress is the one thing the bride gets to pick (notwithstanding all of the entourage members who think otherwise.)  As many times as I said in my teens "Good God, Mother, that outfit is embarrassing (me)", it really wasn't my place to tell her what to wear.

The child has got to learn that the world doesn't revolve around her.  She needs this as a life license.

Annoying kids seems to be a theme this season.  Sister Dacia, fashionista with the dark lipliner and ugly jewelry, was no prize, either, arguing with the kid.

This episode really stood out as one with obviously scripted drama.  I think TPTB take a look at the entourage and make up a storyline.  ‘Ok, we’ve got a kid, let’s have her hate the dress and then pick out a tiara and everything will be fixed’.  ‘We’ve got a couple of brothers, they’re going to compete to find a dress.’

They’ve dumped the fitting apointment in favor of a fake plot that runs through the season. Atlanta has Lori’s daughter joining the team and creating drama. OG had Randy and his bridal line.  Enough already.  We’re not stupid, all of the obviously contrived stories just need to go away.

Amen to that Sister.  Totally agree.

Just when I thought that they couldn't find any worse bridal dramas in Atlanta, they did.  Showing up at an appointment with kids and dog in tow was over the top.  Kids once again being allowed to run amok.  Evidently she had them from a previous relationship.  Godmother admitted she would buy the first wedding dress which is happening now.  Tired looking 41 year old ex beauty queen and her pageant director another case in point.  Get over the pageant stuff already.

Forgot to add why would she have a wedding in Puerto Rico when they are still recovering from major hurricane damage.

    So what's wrong with that?

I think she was looking at a dirty glass and didn't want to drink from it.  Craig's parents need to drag his ass back home.

I thought her dress was hideous, out of season and not in line with what she wanted everyone else to wear.

JD's raccoon coat is actually from the 1920s.  It was worn well into old age.  He probably robbed someone laying in their casket.

Actually his coat was chinchilla which is very expensive fur.  Still didn't like it on him.

Not sure how she was supposed to get shorter.

And many of us are saddled with body shapes that don't fit the "norm" or what fashion designers decide is normal.  It makes me very unhappy when trying on certain dresses because they are not meant for my body type.  But I cannot change that no matter how many years I have to do so.  And trying on a dress for a special day just brings all of those insecurities to the forefront.

Didn't say she was suppose to get shorter.  Just lose weight.  Notice how she came into the salon wearing a really short outfit.  Didn't bother her then.

Well, first of all, that's easier said than done.  And second, wedding planning is a high stress situation and a great many brides gain weight from the stress.  Third, you have to order dresses way ahead of time.  We've seen brides order smaller sizes thinking they would lose weight before the wedding and then having to have alterations.  That very rarely works unless there is surgery involved!

She hasn't been happy about her body since her senior prom about 7 years ago.  Plenty of time to do something if she is unhappy with how she looks.  If she was happy with her look there wouldn't be a problem.

No disrespect but you guys who like Manny, what the #$)!& are you smoking... :)  He seems like a good guy but he does not know how to string together a coherent sentence.  Listening to him go around and around in circles and try to complete a thought without actually saying anything at all is painful.  PAINFUL.

It's wild to see someone who can be super charming in interviews turn into such a mess on camera (for example, I could really get into Amy's self-deprecating snark but when she's on camera it's just plain uncomfortable!)

Christian emerged relatively unscathed this episode.  I ended up liking Jess .37% more because she is able to describe food well.  Everyone else can pack it up.

But he can cook and does come up with good dishes.  Rather have a good cook than a professional speaker cook.
