Cincinnati - I wasn't sure those two were going to agree on anything. I liked the ranch, House 2, but they picked the best one for them I think.

That "shared outside space" in the row house -- I laughed out loud when the realtor said they could divide it up and put up some sparkly lights.

He was one of the most inept real estate agents ever shown on HH.

There was an episode in Telluride, Colorado, a while back, and I recognized the houses.  But it was kind of cheating because Telluride is a tiny town and there just aren't that many houses, plus the one he bought was a very popular apres ski place right near the base of the ski area back in the day--it always had people spilling out onto the porch and yard.

I'm a carpet gal, so forgive my ignorance.  Were those hardwood floors?  They looked like some sort of faux-hardwood to me.

Are real hardwood floors ever gray?

Think they are the "so called luxury vinyl" that seems to be the rage now.  I don't equate vinyl with luxury in my mind.

I watch this because Ari is my husband’s friend and used to be our neighbor. I can’t stand Allison and in this time where so many people are struggling to pay their bills to see her bragging about her many homes and running off to Paris for fireplaces. And did I hear her tell her staff they would have to just put their coats on the back of their chairs because she couldn’t find place for a closet in 6,000 feet?

And she bragged on that the chairs came from Maxim's in Paris.  Thought the dealer said they were like the chairs at Maxim's, not the chairs from Maxim's.

The Dallas house hunters on the new episode tonight.   His budget is so reasonable, but he won't get what the couple demand for that price, with the location they want, and the size and finishes.   His budget is $420k,

First home is nice, a new build, but a two story, with a high price tag, and very close to the neighbors.   It's also the most distance from his work.    I'm betting in a few years she'll want something bigger, and closer to her parents, and more distance from neighbors.   I'm guessing the neighbors will quickly get tired of her 'drama' about being 'obsessed' and her other instagram and influencer garbage.     I hope there's never a job change or other financial issues, or that house may be history.

The second home is modern, and lovely inside, $525k.  However, the second floor balcony is long, but not wide enough to be usuable.   The wife keeps complaining it's on a corner, but it's not.   There is a building lot between the house and the corner, so I can only imaging how much whining they would do when someone builds right next to them.

Third house is lovely, a redone two story, that looks like a ranch, but has a couple of big bedrooms and bath upstairs. She's whining about the living room not fitting their humongous couch. $464k.  First floor main bedroom and ensuite, but ensuite is small, and first floor has a bedroom for their future baby. There is a second floor with the third bedroom she wants to make into a game room with a putting green, and the fourth bedroom.   Back yard is smaller, but fully fenced.   She loves the kitchen.  It looks like LVP first floor, and second floor has carpet.  Stairs seem very steep.

    They buy #1.

Thought they were a really mismatched couple.  Wonder how long that marriage will last.

Waterfront in Parker, Arizona. Didn't see that coming. Scott swallowed hard when she said 2 million. House #1 was pretty dated and the neighborhood was quite congested. #2 was a good size in  a good location.  The tile in the kitchen was not psychedelic but it was too much. Glad they were able to overlook it to get a great house.

The wife's "valley girl" speech pattern was a little too much.  Guess they didn't mind living across from a RV park in choosing this house. After doing street view of the location; understand why the realtor took them around by boat instead of car.

  6. Just finished episode 2 of Alison's dream home.  Who in their right mind wears at halter top outfit in March in Chicago.   Don't think the winter coat that she wore over it will still be warm enough.  Lived there for over 15 years and it's still really cold there in March.

Charlotte: This was a little strange to me. Usually I'm all "the person being dragged for the move gets everything they want," but as someone upthread noted, does this guy even have a real job? All he talked about was how long it took him to make his man room.

And they started out with them doing laundry and him saying he didn't remember having so many clothes to take care of 5 years ago. So they have a 5-year-old and he's never done the laundry, right. He also said that it would be fun to sit in one room and see the girls out in the pool outside while the adults had drinks. So also not really used to watching small children. I didn't care what they bought.

Wilmington: I figured she'd bought the first one because it looked to me, from the size of the basement window, that there might be a substantial basement and yet they didn't look at it. Maybe she had already moved stuff there. Moving the kitchen sounded wacky. Coming from CA, I would never choose a place where you have to park on the street, so #3 was it for me.

Another pet peeve of mine is bathrooms, even half baths, right off kitchens. I know with older homes you're lucky to get an extra bathroom wherever they could fit one in, but it creeps me out.

    Better than an outdoor toilet.

  8. Charlotte NC couple.  It was like watching a broken record:  he wanted a ranch style home like he grew up in, she had to have each young daughter have their own room because the daughters didn't like sharing.  When do you give a 5 and a 2 year old a vote in this matter.  Thought house #3 was the best, even though they picked #1.

The Philly suburb couple (I think they were looking in Upper Darby) was pretty wooden on camera. Their realtor was wearing a royal blue disco outfit when she showed the third house. The duplex is not the one I'd have chosen because of the one bathroom, and I didn't like the exterior.

Thought she was okay, he was a "dud".

Back to Boston with baby- way to go HH! A nice couple who didn't snark at each other and respected the other person's opinion. Now was that so hard? More like them please.  Wife did look like she was gonna pop any second. I guessed their choice correctly, it made sense.

Not a fan of the skin tight dresses that she was wearing.  Find them very unattractive.  Look like stuffed sausages in those outfits.

Yep. I wanna see the receipts because I am not believing Khana came in first. Or maybe I just don’t want to believe that I gotta watch another week of hideous neck tat and whiny bitch.

Noticed that Tyler didn't even announce how much Easy Vegan food receipts total, especially with that extra $600. that they won in the challenges.  Also from that overhead shot of the street, there were only the three food trucks parked there for the supposedly the largest LA food truck event that night.  A lot of producer driven drama.  Sorry Food Network you can do better than this.

  12. Houston area couple.  That place they picked looked to be in a very industrial area when they drove up.  Actually found it on the internet and they are just around the corner from the county jail.  Hope they are happy with their choice of location.

Glen Ellyn, IL aka Barbie Girl:  interesting couple. interesting stylistic choices. We complain that everyone wants white/black/grey farmhouses so they gave us something different.

First, they did mention Glen Ellyn at one point but were extremely vague with the locations of the houses. Why? I hate not knowing, especially when I'm familiar with the area.

The one they chose was the most practical but man was it ugly.  The addition of barbie room and reddish kitchen will not help.

The locations of all three places were all over the place, especially the one in Flossmor.  Long commute to work, etc

Spending $1.4m on a house but then only budgeting $250k for renovations seems a bit low.  Did he say they spent $40k in kitchen appliances? I did agree with removing those columns.  That just looked like bad original design. The fake fireplace with the pile of candles in front of it just seems like a waste of space.

Also, how did I know they were going to put those slider doors in?  I still don’t get the whole indoor / outdoor living.  Does Las Vegas have no bugs?

This latest design of AV's on this home is just as bad as the original one she did on it.

TX to Florida- I liked the wife, she was sensible with downsizing, although they really didn't. The husband was a stand up comic and wanted to be close to clubs? That wasn't on my  HH bingo card. Good luck with that one buddy.

He was going to milk this tv appearance for all it's worth.  Liked her, him not.  He was constantly being on this whole episode and someone should tell him that he is getting a very thin spot on the back of his hair.

Yes, I picked up on that. But honestly, sometimes I can waste a lot of time checking pronunciations on my phone, thinking that I'd been mispronouncing certain words.

For example: he said af- FLU- ent, with the stress on flu. I pronounce it as AF- flu-ent, with stress on AF. I've found both are correct. Also, more often than not, folks on these shows say com- PARE- able, with the stress on PARE. I've always pronounced it as COMP- ar-able with the stress on 1st syllable.

Only mentioned it because he made a big point of picking out things that weren't up to his standards in those condos, etc.

  17. Another phoney beach seeking couple who are really shilling their rental investment property.  He was a piece of work.  If you are going to use the word "en suite" learn how to pronounce it correctly.  It isn't called an "in suite".
