St Louis. I'm liking Timothy. Wouldn't mind being friends with him and Carlito. Tim looked at some interesting properties. He wasn't too picky. I think he'll be happy in that house.
I thought he was a wacko.

I liked the MInnesota twin brothers. One is a dentist and the other is a CPA, so they can certainly take care of each other. 😊
Probably in the minority here, but the twin that was the home buyer had a really grating voice and was obsessed with his ability to garden. Hate to be the person he is seeing.

That's still cheap compared to here (L.A.), one of the cities from which you've seen people move to your area. Phoenix, like most places, is more expensive to live in than it used to be, but "one of the most EXPENSIVE places in the U.S. to live" it is not (if we're going with top ten, fifteen, or twenty lists from reputable sources) -- but it is more expensive, on the national ranking, than I'd realized, so thanks for sending me down a research path that taught me something new.
Don't think that Phoenix beats Carmel, Ca or Pebble Beach for expensive homes. Typical small 2 to 3 bedroom in downtown Carmel goes for in the low 3,000,000 and up while next door Pebble Beach commands an eight figure number.

Yep. Turns out Brian’s a happy wife/happy life guy. Or his stated preferences (me, me, me) and budget were bs. Big house, big backyard, big price tag — enjoy, Hilary!

Brian was even willing to give up the shore for it. But Hilary still thought it was too small. You're not going to get a ton of room in a Cape, her preferred style. #3 had the beautiful backyard and no furniture. Will that be their choice?
Brian really reminded me of Jon Stewart.

Buckhead area of Georgia buyer must have been looking in the outlying fringe areas of Buckhead. Those prices that she was looking at aren't normal for Buckhead proper, which is a very high end area of Atlanta. Think it an outskirt area that shares a Buckhead zip code.

Thought it was interesting that Gordon R.'s highly touted non stick hex clad pans stuck to the scallops. So much for truth in advertising.

Gabi's facial expressions on this last episode were really over the top. Having a hard time liking the actress or her character.

The Reverend Mr. Forte's bad back equals cancer really reminds me of Jimmy Valvano in his courageous fight with cancer that started with pain in his back. Usually a sign of cancer that has metastasized.

Agnes just fainted at the thought.
Is the mansion standing in for the Russells’ home in Newport The Breakers? The Vanderbilt mansion?
Definitely not the Breakers. Think it's Marble House.

Knew those Baltimore house buyers would end up in Hampden. Mt. Holly was a ringer thrown in.

Still think that Oscar is going after George who is involved with Jay Gould and the railroad company in Cleveland.

It was not overt flattery. He (the banker dude) is at first 'hesitant" to let Oscar in the room (yeah right!) and then after Oscar states what he "knows" of this transaction - the banker dude then comments to Oscar -- Oh you are SO well informed! to which Maude batts her eyelashes and simpers -- Oh I told him everything! I hope you don't mind?
It was like scamming 101
I think that it's Oscar that's doing the scamming. Think that he is going after George since he knows that George is involved with the Cleveland railroad deal.

And yet the asking price was 1 million. Sounds pretty upscale to me. It's no wonder home ownership is out of reach for so many.
The home they chose set them back 1.5 million. I have no idea what logistics is, but this couple, both immigrants, is living the American dream. Good for them!
Proximity to Washington is everything. Short commute times drive up the prices big time.

I was taken aback when I heard that. My son's family lives in Springfield. It's a lovely middle-class, family oriented suburb. But not upscale (close to upscale like Tyson's and McLean). And that house was way too close to a very busy street!
Totally agree.

I missed the very beginning. What did they do to afford a mil + home?
House #1 was touted as being in the upscale suburb of Springfield. While Springfield is okay, I certainly wouldn't call it upscale.

Found it interesting that the young husband Savannah buyer didn't want to buy in the suburbs but bought on the Isle of Hope which definitely is a outer suburb of Savannah. That place is going to take a lot of work.

Long Island sure got a lot of house for that price. The second place they looked at might have been in Levittown. It looked liked a redo of an original Levitt home.

But he said the salmon run in it, so maybe it was low when they were buying the house?
I loved it. It was almost like a backyard water feature, and it looked like it might make a pleasant noise going over the rocks.
Salmon tend to go upstream in shallow water - 18 inches.

Washington state buyers purchased home was certainly not what I call river front. Looked more like a stream down the hill from the house. Couldn't kayak or boat on it because of size.

Nashville house buyers were a throw back to the 60's era hippie couples. Really think he could join the working world; but then he would have to cut his hair and clean up that beard.

Florida buyers. Surprised that they picked Boca with that budget. Think their dollar would have worked better in other areas of Florida.

Those crab cakes that they featured in this restaurant were the worst looking things I have ever seen. Looked like preform hockey pucks. Would have never been served anywhere like that in Baltimore.

I assume they are working at Mayo in Rochester, too. I also figured they’d want to be closer to the hospital, so the country home seemed like an odd option. It was also an odd house!
Couldn't believe when her father asked if they are going to rip out the hardwood floors and replace them with tile or carpet? Why would they even consider that.

Yes. As a Long Island girl somewhat familiar with Westchester County, I'm interested in knowing which towns they've visited. The same goes for Long Island, where they tend not to mention town names. They did mention the NJ town where the 1st home was located, so I'm wondering if it's an issue of privacy for certain homeowners, who may not want the viewers to know in which town the house they chose was located.
Was that mentioned? I rewound twice but never heard that.
It showed up in the graphics.

Thought the Atlanta HH was overly picky and she wants a house for entertaining with a new baby and being a single mom too. She also needs how to correctly pronounce the word "decor". Did like her Dad and Aunt.
