  1. *If* he takes care of them-emotionally and financially who cares. WHY would she wear that anywhere except in a bedroom!
  2. It's just easier to refer to him that way. If you did go off on someone for referring to him incorrectly you'd look like a total trainwreck. It'd be like "NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!" Exactly.
  3. I mean, WHAT is up with that? It's like he's a little boy. That would kill me.
  4. Jepte is actually being nice for once! OMGah! Jaclyn you are so in love ....with your deceased ex. Poor Ryan. EVERYTHING they do is tainted. It seems really unfair to him. He's kinda so dense he won't figure it out but still.
  5. Um, that's kinda the way it works.
  6. Because she wants a child from a foreigner. Exactly. I agree but WHY?????? Because David had a stroke? I don't get it. He probably promised her that the roommates would be out by now-if he even told her he had roommates.
  7. I don't see anyone even 1/10th this mad-not sure what you're talking about? He's a good guy-just a bit 'holier than thou'- although less now than in the earlier seasons.
  8. I think she's assuming they'll have kids and even if they don't end up together the kids will want to hear about it? More bad editing, IMO. Dear Nate and Shelia-the experts aren't telling you the #1 rule of marriage because they want you to keep being dramatic for ratings. The #1 rule-take time outs! Walk away go to a different room until everything calms down and before you say stuff you regret. My H and I went to marriage counseling-and that tip alone saved us so much drama. Half the time we laugh about how mad we got over whatever it was-after a time out. When we were first married-which is when the worst arguments happen IMO-I said "TIME THE F*** OUT" and slammed the door-but I think that still counted. It's too bad the 'experts' didn't tell them about taking time outs-because Shelia, and I suspect, Nate were verbally abusive. Calling a man a "b1tch" or callling a woman a "b1tch" is verbal abuse-or at least very close. As an attorney-I wonder if a contract to stay married would be illegal. You can't base legal fees on whether the divorce is successful or the amount of the settlement and spouses can't be forced to testify against each other. In short, the law made not enforce a contract that goes against/takes bets on marriage. Also, PR could be a mess-what if a couple stayed together to get $ and one was abusive (or one of them alleged abuse). Im guessing they got a puppy. I really don't think she even wants a baby this fast. I think a lot of Ashley being so baby crazy was producer driven. Lots of places. I think *some* 40-50 something men might be worried about growing old and may try to find a younger woman-but that's only going to work for men with $$$. In general at least. Most men want women their age at 60-Im willing to bet. I think we should give them credit. I read somewhere that the population who are getting STD's the most are people in retirement homes. And they're aren't younger women in retirement homes. Of course, my mom married my step dad at 55 and 10 years later they are still 'soul mates.' And my grandmother got a boob job in her late 60's because she could.
  9. Well deserved-shooting in these conditions is next to impossible-I can't imagine.
  10. I know I'm alone in this-but I wish it would get renewed. I never watch the reunions-so not that. I just want it to be renewed!
  11. I think it may be a chicken/egg kind of thing. hahaha. He is a neat enough guy but why does he have to put down people who live in "civil-lie-zation" (as he says) and he doesn;t seem to get that he is privileged to be able to do that in the first place.
  12. He is so full of himself. Shut up! You aren't any better than anyone else. Good grief.
  13. You're so right re: no one but little old ladies wear fur here. It's so weird to me because, to me at least, they're not really old money or new money. Other than Happy. Maybe money two generations ago. Does anyone know how many people actually live in in Savannah full time other than those who work in the hospitality industry? When Ashley stripped down and swam and what seemed to be, to me at least, a swamp? I think Ashley wanted Savannah to seem more paradise than it is.
  14. The eyebrows! The lack of facial hair! The smooth 50ish skin indicative of "having work done." It's not even feminine or masculine-it is not natural! I personally am not attracted to Ken Peter Pan types. It's almost like his mother has kept him in pre-puberty hence his lack of interest in sex-or for any prolong period-to me maybe. This is a theory in flux .lol.
  15. Off topic but I just have to say-that my mom is so like that with her grandkids, including my children, so I completely stopped talking to her a few months ago. Let me promise you that that is not a one-time occurrence-his father has acted that way to Thomas his whole life. It didn't even occur to Thomas' dad how insane it would be to miss a grandchild's birthday for so trivial a matter that could easily be rescheduled. Speaking of being in someone's DNA. ....My mom didn't show to a birthday party (my youngest's' fifth) because she had to get a broken side mirror on her car fixed. (that'd been broken for months.) I could go on and on. They're just missing the parenting/nurturing gene. Aka the thinking of other people gene. I've felt guilty lately and seeing that from the outside-all feelings of guilt disappeared.
  16. Ashley is just trying to keep the show going I think. She keeps pushing this "things are so different in the SOUTH" business. As if no one has any idea about what goes on the South likes it's a foreign country. As if we've never seen other shows set in the South-like, I dunno, Southern Charm or RHOA or that we live in the same country. That whole fight/dinner thing was so producer driven and makes me think they must have known ratings were going to be low? Def. not organic.
  17. I am embarrassed to say I even watched this. OMGawd these people are gawd awful. Ashley is so just trying to keep the show on the air. They've got to come up with some sort of drama. Yes, who cares that she works at Delta! Good grief. Although why can't she just own it-Savannah is not where you go if $ is your only interest. Unless you come from it. I just can't see how that population can support any real stylist population. SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) is still there but they opened a campus in ATL about 10years ago and it's now bigger than the one in Savannah for related reasons. I wouldn't claim to be an expert on all things Southern. But I grew up in Atlanta and live here now. (Went to Az for undrgrad/NYC for grad). And my family is from here. My Grandmother had a very proper Southern accent-one of those that is so proper that she almost sounded English. My husband works for an ATL nonprofit and we have to go to charity galas, etc. So, I'm around the 'haves' plenty and many at formal events. Let me promise you I've never once seen fur coats- not in the dead of winter (in GA that means 40 degrees lol) let alone in the summer on the coast. We do not swim in swamps. We do not golf in our underwear. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's a crime.
  18. 16 days is a long time when you're together 24/7. I don't have an exact formula-but it's more than 16 days. 16 days is def. longer than the average number of dates the average couple has before having sex. I think it's weird to ever "expect" sex. It's not a commodity. After spending that much time together-in a romantic setting-I think the expectation is that the other person would want to have sex with you-and at least have to slow themselves down. Have they even touched really?
  19. I don't see why he has to make the first move. She rejected him and has totally emasculated him-I can't imagine the pressure he's under. Neither of them have, from what I've seen, made an effort to show the other one that they are sexy. If a guy told me, in words and/or actions, that I wasn't a real woman or not feminine-I wouldn;t exactly be ripping my clothes off-it's not sexy to me at least. Makes me want to have private time with B.O.B. haha. It's like "hey, you half-a-man come have sex with me" Those 2 have somehow landed in friend zone that I can;t see them getting out of in 6 weeks. Have any other of the MAFS couples waited this long and then stayed together?
  20. I think he's worried about future behavior. Happy marriage 101, IMO, fights/disagreements/where to live/when to have children=is a private topic between you and your husband. Period. Until it's decided you skip the question-get out of it. It feels like a betrayal when one of the other parties invites someone into your intimate relationship. A sister/family member will remember every slight made to their family member by a spouse-long after the spouses have moved on-not good for a relationship. It's awkward right now-because they don't know each other-but if they're going to be married suddenly every aspect of their lives has to be married-including private convos. Cody and Danielle have made not having sex a thing. It will forever be awkward. Not having sex for 16 days of marriage-is nutty. That's longer than people IRL.
  21. The same time a computer can do what doctors do. Which I can't imagine happening before globing warming creates greater challenges. haha but not really funny. Legal reasoning is seldom straightforward. Were it we all would have passed the bar exam and skipped law school for that matter. For instance, your definition of "better" could mean at least a dozen things probably even to you.
  22. I haven't read through all the posts so it's probably been said but just in case- OMGaaawwwdddd Whitney and his eyeliner and overly-shaped brows. Yikes. Can he not see himself? It's creepy.
  23. I lived in pretty spacious apartment in college-and kept shoes in my *oven.* It just seemed like a perfect shoe storage place-two little neat shelves. Don't hate! Plus, that's exactly the way my apt was set up when I met my now husband-20 years ago. I think it's good he knew what he was getting into.
  24. I agree. It seems like they pick a mix of ones that will add drama, ones that will stay the course, and ones that have a chance of actually working out. Random ref no one will get- it so reminds me of "The Love Boat" episodes. There were always, in every episode, three separate subplots. It was before my time-but I watched one online and got hooked.
  25. There is more to Shelia than meets the eye. She's got something in her past or an unmedicated/unmanaged mood disorder or may the producers aren't letting her eat or sleep like an episode of Homeland. She is so weepy and dramatic and woe is me-in a word histrionic. And Danielle-if you want to have sex with him-put the moves on him. Good grief-it's not the 50's. You being standoffish and not flirting is a code word for "don't have sex with me." Funny how she wants a 'manly man' yet is acting like a girl and not a woman. Grown women, who want to have sex, put the moves on their man. They don't play timid and virginal and wait for the guy to make a move. Sheesh. Re: Danielle-she needs him to quit trying to mold himself to what she wants. My H was the first and only man who could stand up to me. Not that I am so demanding-but in my 20's I so would have asked a guy to do something almost as bad as getting him to eat those fish eyes. And H would have told me "um, no." Even though he was very into me. That's what made me stick around for more. That's what Danielle wants. Someone who can stand up to her.
