  1. Does anyone else's heart still sink a little when they see the date September 11?
  2. I doubt Project Runway would cosign on Brittany profiting from another company while on their show unless they are also getting a piece of the action - shows are too cautious of making sure they are the ones getting the advertising $$$s. I think it was just part of her story. I also doubt that the individuals involved as "faces" on the show pay for anything. It is all advertising led, plus it gave Christian a fun boost for his business (which I'm sure he negotiated in his PR contract).
  3. I don't know how she accomplished it between going to school but I have always had the impression that Laurence raised her daughter. They've shown some pictures of her where she's older.
  4. And then during the show they showed at least two other cross halter tops that were made this season (I know for sure one from Korto). Apparently nobody but Prajje is allowed to make that design. Not a fan of the "sisterhood" - I noticed that the other three women designers excluded her so she hung out with the male designers during this show. That was not necessary.
  5. I wondered that too considering on the last show the patient was in the clinic without a mask (for a while the state still required them to wear a mask inside).
  6. I didn't like Bishme's anchor either.
  7. I liked Laurence's dress except for the cone boobs. I might have liked them better if she had bothered to fit them to the model. I live in Texas...not sure I've ever seen anyone wear a puffer coat.
  8. From what little I have gathered on Instagram it looks like this show is coming to an end (I haven't bothered to watch the podcast). Not sure if there is a final season or not. Glad I'm not the only one who is bugged by the eyebrows. She is a beautiful woman naturally - not sure why she feels the need to overproduce her look.
  9. I just want to go on record as saying that the Below Desk "real people" were some of the best natured models I have ever seen on Project Runway and I really enjoyed them. Even though he's a douche Gary has gorgeous hair - I honestly didn't recognize him when he walked the runway. I think Anna's Asian-inspired jacket could have worked if she had refined it and made it better fitting to his undeniably great shoulders and chest. I kept having flashbacks to Shogun...LOL!
  10. TV has been so boring lately that I am looking forward to a new show, even if she sometimes drives me crazy...but I've seen her a lot on Instagram lately and what the heck has she done to her eyebrows?
  11. I have a different perspective. A lovely friend of mine (both wife and husband were friends) was diagnosed with colon cancer and she fought it tooth and nail for 7 years and her husband was there supporting her every step of the way. Her last 7 months everyone knew the end was inevitable and he was 100% faithful and loving. After her death he met a woman in a grief support group (and yes we all thought it might be too soon), they announced their engagement after he properly honored the one-year anniversary of her death, and they are now married. Her family is still involved with him and his two sons and have opened their family to his new bride. I am of the opinion that when you go through a journey like this and you know that there is no hope that you are already mourning the loss of your spouse long before the actual event happens. He still loves his first wife and he also loves his second wife...I wish them a great deal of happiness. Did anybody else wonder why the woman with miasma couldn't just use a good foundation? I hope her treatments give her some relief because she was a lovely woman with a lovely daughter. The football player segment was funny. Not the usual pop but still light-hearted and nobody got waxed in a significant area.
  12. I also think Christian's critique messed up Fabio...I think after Christian tore apart his outfit was when he added the strange stomach fabric. The judges even complimented the shorts which Christian criticized. Again...editing.
  13. I'm so easy...I still like a good lipoma pop and then there's the juicy cysts!
  14. Although I agree that the ridiculous "showboating" behavior has become worse over time with this show (seriously - that session with her best friend? The standing on a ladder to see the guy's head?) I also think Dr. Lee is trying to portray the message that not all bumps are equal and that there are some bumps that she cannot or should not deal with. I suspect as her show becomes more widely shown that she is being deluged with the most desperate cases and some of these sad souls probably have a hard time understanding why she isn't a miracle worker. Managing expectations must be very difficult at times.
  15. I've really liked the celebrities this season - they seem to have really enjoyed the process. I laughed at Taraji P. Henson's fingernails - they were definitely not built for demo. Jay Leno was incredibly endearing and you could tell he really cared about the young couple whose house was renovated, Emma Roberts is adorable and I thought the kitchen makeover was really great...this has been a really good season and like I said above - I have really enjoyed the celebrities, and watching Glenn Close's glee in operating heavy machinery was priceless.
  16. Tolerance is a virtue.
  17. Didn't Duff go to culinary school? Answering my own question he did (I looked it up). He also worked in restaurants starting at age 14.
  18. I liked Korto in her seasons and I also liked Prajje. I liked Anna but not so much this time so far. I always thought the other guy (Fabio - I know that is wrong but I had surgery today so major brain fog) was a sweet gentle soul although i wasn't a huge fan of his designs. Hester can go. She is a huge attention seeker and I never understood what they saw in her designs.
  19. I did agree that Yohann's cake had too many shades of blue and none of them were the traditional shades used for fourth of July. Visually I think Alyssas cake looked the best but Zoes cake apparently tasted fantastic. Side note was anybody else surprised Zoes eyes were blue? I thought all along they were brown.
  20. I didn't think that sounded right. Thank you and yes it was a horrible tragedy.
  21. It has been called the Finale during the last show so I think it is the Finale. They didn't put anything on there about there being any kind of a surprise.
  22. I didn't know that. I just remember when he started appearing fairly frequently on Oprah and did mostly small spaces (as I said before). I thought he was adorable and the spaces he designed were amazing. I honestly didn't know who Jeremiah was except I kind of remembered he was on a reality show (The Rachel Zoe Project or something like that?).
  23. Nate is a well known designer and has been around for decades...he first started out on Oprah and is known for his impeccable taste. He was often featured designing small spaces in ways that didn't make you think they were so small (like New York apartments that are big on rent but small on space). I think he deliberately steps back and lets Jeremiah take the limelight because Jeremiah thrives on it but I suspect Nate has a much bigger presence behind the scenes than it appears on the show. I watch the show for Nate, not for Jeremiah. He and late partner were in Sri Lanka when the tsunami hit and they became separated and his partner was never found. He and Jeremiah's son's name is Oskar because that was the middle name of his late partner. It was very tragic to say the least.
  24. Up until last year I always wanted my desserts sweet but now I can't eat a dessert that is too sweet.
  25. I felt this episode they were trying to change the format somewhat - it seemed that they cut down on some of the "personal history" bits and focused more on the procedures...they showed quite a bit of the procedure for the gentleman who had the big lipoma and also man with two cysts. I can't imagine being that young girl and having such extreme skin issues for most of her life, and also facing the judgment of people regarding her weight.
