I just assume the father was in an assisted living facility or a nursing home - no reason why but since they didn't mention a "family home" that was where my brain placed him. Quite willing to be wrong!

Don't forget Tommy, the brother who likes high ceilings...LOL! This house was stunning although I probably would have added one more bathroom - two relatively small bathrooms in a house meant for a group of that size (if they all are there at once - 8 cousins, 3 couples - 14 people - 2 bathrooms - YIKES!). In the meantime it would be a lovely vacation rental. I think my favorite bedroom was the add-on in the back. I loved the brightness of it and preferred the blue over the green. I wonder where they had stored the furniture? I hope they do keep a close family relationship. I know after the death of my parents and my sister it is a struggle to keep up a close relationship with my niece and her family and they only live 2 hours away.

Jeremy is coming across as so snarky and yet he makes breakfast for everyone every morning...nice! (I kind of like Jeremy's snarkiness - he has all the good villain lines.) -

I was saddened to see Paige go. Definitely would have preferred it to be Keely. -

That caramel looked delicious - I wanted to taste it myself! -

My favorite so far is the guy (I think it is Robert) who (for lack of a better explanation) is half black/half Asian. I can't remember what he baked but he seemed very confident without being overly arrogant or playing for the camera. If I remember correctly he won the master challenge? -
Not going to lie, I cried through a lot of this episode - it was just so sweet and truly showed a community of people who loved one another. I loved it when Erin got a text during her soft interview that the baby was being born early and dashed away!

I would assume that the time constraints they are given stem more from the fact that they are paying numerous people on the set (cameramen, sound people, producers, etc.) than how much time they would like to give the bakers. Union rules you know... -
I agree that the latest "Brad" house was really good - very personal to his own taste. I would have foregone the milk bar because that walkway was fairly narrow (besides, it was wasted on milk - but if it had been a coffee bar...!), but altogether a very nice remodel. I especially liked that they included more than just the kitchen and living areas. His bathroom was really transformed and they didn't move any walls!

So happy Stephen won - it would have been a travesty if he had not. Nicki's cake was - well it tasted good. Enough said. Robert's cake was way too busy for my taste plus IMO it wasn't stained glass - even his hummingbirds were placed on top of the stained glass effect. Stephen's cake was stunning and I would have loved to have seen it if he had another hour to finish it off. It was a nice final challenge.- 3.2k replies

I could care less about their nationality - just let the best baker win. Shoot, half the time these days it seems the winners are from Canada...LOL! Don't forget the cute Italian guy who won one of the shows and then went on to be a judge (and was always kind of a jerk in my opinion - he looked good, obviously baked well but never seemed to have a great personality). -

Or maybe Nikki likes bougie coffee (I speak because I resemble that remark!). -
I'm thinking that they probably sealed it within an inch of its life (or at least that's my hope).

I think for her aesthetic she isn't bad and she does appear to be learning but it is pretty funny how few credentials people have that get their own show. I guess looking good on the camera helps a lot (although I want to yank that nose ring out and buy her some jeans that aren't skin tight and tattered).

I agree - not to mention that despite the looseness of his cream I just thought his dessert sounded like it would taste delicious. I'm rooting for Steven. -
I would have picked the Harrell House just for the screened in front porch but I wasn't the one doing the picking! I actually thought this was one of Erin's nicest, most cohesive designs. Not particularly my taste but altogether I thought the house turned out nicely (although not a fan of the wood back splashes and definitely not a fan of the countertop going up behind the stove - but again - not my house!). The front of the house looked really nice with the upgraded landscaping and shutters and the back patio really seemed to suit their family. Moving the laundry room was definitely the right choice.

Have they ever had guest judges on this show? I think most knew they were referring to Coachella and who cares whether they called it by name or not..LOL! Some of their "connections" are kind of silly. -
When my house was being remodeled for sale LVP was put in the downstairs and I loved it so much I almost kept the house!

Looks like they are trying to shake up the designs this season so that she doesn't look like a one trick pony.

I agree that it was Kate's night to go but would have preferred to see Robert exit the kitchen. He just doesn't resonate with me. Odd isn't it - last week they were both on top, this week they were both on the bottom. -

Makes sense - ice cream would have melted quickly beside the pool....LOL. -
In the meantime I've enjoyed seeing the beautiful vistas of Tuscany and learning a lot about cheese...LOL.

I have wondered about that too although on YouTube TV they still preview it like it is a new show. It is unfortunate because it was a really good show.
