  1. There are still some in consistencies, though I'll be the first to admit I may have missed some details (I always do). The two guys (Bennett & Javi) in the engine had a conversation at the very beginning of the episode. Javi says, "When she first took this train, she says we'll follow his (Wilfred) order." That doesn't necessarily mean that Wilfred was once in charge of the train and she took it over, but it does allow for the possibility. Then again, Layton did call her "Mr. Wilfred," as did Bennett in the first episode. I guess the show is being deliberately vague about the details. I don't know, but I have to say, Melanie is really starting to freak me out with regards to what she is willing to do to people in order to maintain control.
  2. Right. It seems like they're throwing us little nuggets of information here and there, but I'm not sure it's enough, yet, to give us a complete idea of how the anomaly works. At the end of last season, I thought maybe Octavia's memories came back because of the anomaly. It seemed to work in the moment, anyway. Someone from Bardo said that if you move to a slower time, you lose your memories without the helmets. (At least I think it was "slower') Hope, Echo and Gabriel kept their memories when they moved to Skyring. We don't know where Clark and the others went, but they seem to have kept their memories. The rules are very confusing, and I'm not quite convinced the timelines are accurate. But I'm still along for the ride, and I desperately want to learn more! I really don't care what's happening in Sanctum, anymore, but I did enjoy watching Murphy and Indra.
  3. I don't think Danielle gets to pick and choose which scenes make the final cut. They pay someone else to do that.
  4. We’ll, yeah! Nothing wrong with that. But she did want the pride of doing it herself after surgery. Who wouldn’t?
  5. She wanted to do this by herself. It was a big deal to her to be able to do it after her hysterectomy. If Adam had helped her, she wouldn't have achieved her goal. She needed to do this for her.
  6. I felt like they did have chemistry in Season 5. At least they did when they were together. They really haven't been on screen, together much. They always seem to both be on some mission that keeps them apart. I think if they actually had more scenes together, it would be easier.
  7. It does seem like they're giving Parker a little more space so far. I wonder if they've talked to a professional about their concerns and are rethinking how they approach her. I remember in the "Dude Ranch" episode, Adam said he was trying to push her a little like they always do with Blayke. Danielle mentioned that he has to remember that Blayke is Blayke and Parker is Parker. He has to respond to Parker's needs. I though that was a great observation. Parker will likely be fine on camera once in a while, but she is less comfortable in the spotlight than some of her sisters.
  8. Are your schools going back to in person learning this fall? Ours still don't have the official word from the governor and the State Superintendent, so they are currently developing their alternative plans. Ug!!! My kids desperately want to go back to normal school in the fall.
  9. They always refer to her as a family friend. She's been on more than one trip with the family.
  10. I had a feeling that was the case. In Illinois, there's skiing and there's water skiing. I've never heard anyone say snow skiing ... before last night.
  11. Those were inflatable mattresses. I didn't think the raised sides were necessary at that age, but they don't hurt. Maybe they brought them on the plane, but I suspect the owners of the home provided them.
  12. I thought it was cute at the beginning when Danielle kept saying "snow skiing." Is this a regional thing? I've never heard that before. Everyone around here just calls it skiing. I wonder if they would find it funny to hear me say "water skiing."
  13. It's so frustrating when non-book readers say, "Why are you (book readers) so hard on Frank?" I think Frank and Claire's marriage would have failed, eventually, even without a trip through the stones. Claire's not an idiot, and they were never going to be happy together. Claire has her faults, but really, she's too good for Frank.
  14. I noticed that, too. Also, he looks like he did in Season 1. I don't really know why. The scenes from the '60's were Claire's way of escaping her horrible situation. My guess is she remembered how she felt when they first met and fell in love.
  15. Absolutely! My son has a summer birthday, and he was old enough and smart enough and knew enough (ABC's, 123's, colors, shapes, etc.) to go to Kindergarten. He was not ready. Socially, he was simply not ready. We were so lucky, because our school district offered a class (Transitional Kindergarten) for those kids who were old enough but not ready. So he and his TK classmates started regular kindergarten when they were 6. This was the first year the school offered that options, so there were kids older than him that had to take kindergarten twice. Most of the kids don't know and/or don't care. They know know who their teach is and which room to go to, and they're fine with that. I know what you're saying, but it's really not that big a deal. At that age, it's really not something children are concerned about. We just told our son that he would have more fun with this new group of kids. By the time he was old enough to understand that he could have started kindergarten a year earlier, he was old enough to understand that we just wanted him to be with kids his own age. By then, he knew of kids in his class that were just barely 5 when the started kindergarten, and he could see how they struggled to fit in. (They were the kids he thought of as babies, and he was glad no one thought of him as a baby.) Their best bet is to say, "That's the rule! Can't go to first grade until you're 6." She'll be fine. Besides, she may be academically ready, but she will learn a ton of other things in school. There's so much more to kindergarten than reading and writing. I'm sure they call it kindergarten because that's just what people think of as the next level. Most of the preschools in our area call their classes 3's and 4's. Some preschools do have another class they call prek. The kids do more, academically, but they still have more to learn. Kindergarten at a public school would never be just a repeat of "kindergarten" or "prek" at a preschool.
  16. Perhaps Eligious 3 had seeds on board in case they did find a planet to live on.
  17. I want to say Jordan was around 33 or 35 when Monty and Harper placed him in kryo, but I could be wrong. They were afraid that if he died this way, he would be viewed as a martyr. I think he's going to be viewed by some as a martyr not matter what, but someone (Clark?) mentioned that. The first thing I thought of was that in the Uniteded States, when a prisoner is scheduled for execution, they want that prisoner to be healthy for the execution. Why? No idea. I just know that many tv shows have used that as a plot devise. It's entirely possible that it's not even an actual truth, but I have seen it on medical shows when a condemned prisoner is brought in as a patient and the staff has to deal with their own thoughts/feelings.
  18. I hear what you're saying, but I was very much looking forward to learning more about the anomaly. The story on Sanctum is the same story of various factions never figuring out how to co-exist. I did miss the characters, but I can't wait to learn more about the other planets and how the anomaly works and where Diyoza, Bellamy and Octavia are. I'd also like to know why the "disciples" wanted them so badly!
  19. Shortly after Hope was born, Diyoza talked about how there was plenty of food on this planet. I just assumed that there were already tomatoes, squash, etc., growing there, so they saved the seeds (rather than eating them).
  20. That is so true! I really am impressed with the job the show writers have done. There are definitely aspects of the books I wish they could have included, but I do think they have been given a very challenging task. Overall, I think they have done an amazing job!
  21. Right?!? I'll read someone say, "This is just like in Season 4 when ... " and I'll be thinking to myself, "Season 4, what happened in Season 4?"
  22. At least in Star Wars your arm gets replaced by a robotic arm. That's a great map! I was very curious, since I did take it literally when I thought I heard them say "circumnavigate the earth." (Was that in a trailer?) Even if the map is for the movie and not the tv show, it's fascinating and brings the concept to life.
  23. Am I remembering the Season 6 finale wrong? (Which is definitely possbile.) I thought Clark was with Bellamy & Octavia when the anomaly brought Hope.
  24. So, I just started rereading A Breath of Snow and Ashes, and I'm wondering, what will be the main plot of Season 6? Do you think it will be about the Christie's? Will they just skip this book and move on to An Echo in the Bone?
  25. I was wondering the same thing. Is she actually Willford? Maybe she is has always introduced herself as his assistant (or whatever). Would that somehow make her more credible? Or perhaps the real Willford died years ago and, rather than dealing with whatever would come if people found out he died, she simply carried on as his "representative" with no one questioning since they never saw him in the first place Very curious as to what this means.
