  1. Mom obviously meant kale chips. When I add chips to my list, I make a beeline to those!
  2. She probably studied Sean's mom so not to be as obviously evil,
  3. Me three, Summer of 65 Comiskey Park in Chicago. I had Beatle gravel that I kept for waaay too long. 😄
  4. It's actually a great song to drive to! And that voice ...
  5. I downsized. Everything high fidelity found a good home!
  6. I didn't get him, so good that someone did. We sure weren't alone! 😄 That voice ....
  7. Me too. I still have the vinyl, but nothing to play it on. I so wanted for Stevie Winwood to love me as much as I loved him. I got over it.
  8. Megan is, how Dr. Now says, "delusional". So is mom. Oh good Lord, she hasn't seen her father is years and she orders pizza? the man isn't long for this earth.
  9. I haven't been so in the weeds since the old Court TV boards about Laci. I've lost my mojo. I had a Boar's Head liverwurst sammie for dinner, with bacon and sauteed onions on rye with a schmear of Dijon, I weigh 100 pounds! 😄 No chips.
  10. I watched the episode again (know idea why) and this is one thing that sunk in the second time. I mentioned upthread that I counseled as a trained volunteer homeless folks in Seattle.. And just like Dominic and James, folks had an expectation that they would get housing on demand, Doesn't happen. There's hotel vouchers and other short-term options, but for permanent long-term housing? That's one long wait list. Houston is probably still dealing with housing Katrina refugees. And no way could Dominic have surgery if he lives in a van. Such a sad episode.
  11. I'm a virgin! Takes some getting use to for sure!
  12. Odd thing I've noticed over the years and Megan is another one -- when they're sitting they're freakishly huge. Not just weight along but tower over family sitting next to them. I guess those fat butts are like booster seats.
  13. Y'all are too fast! I can't come close keeping up! But this fun regardless. I'm on the short bus.
  14. Okay, live chat is just like when my late mom and I snarked liked crazy to each other. Is this like a SMothered episode?
  15. My first live chat due to the new TV provider. I don't know what to say except HI!
  16. I'm on the West Coast so have never been able to participate in live chat, BUT, all you lucky people, just changed my TV provider to DISH who airs TLC on EDT! Yay, I can snark in real time!
  17. I moved out of Seattle a couple of years ago and Seattle is ranked #3 in homelessness in the country after LA and NYC. For years volunteered hands on and learned a lot. 1. It's complicated 2. It evolves into a preferred lifestyle because it's complicated. Dominic and his brother aren't vagrants nor druggies or drinkers as far as I know. But they have out of lethargy find it easier to keep living in a van. Not because they like it, but to do more is HARD. I don't know about Texas, but in Washington state unless a person is so unable to care for him/herself one still has to take the initiative to get into housing. Sanctioned encampments, including living in a vehicle are a bit more lax, but still require paperwork with, if needed the help of a social worker. His brother began working and is on a better path. If he can keep it up he could be a much better help to Dominic unless Dominic brings him down again. The majority of homeless I worked with, even clean and saying they want better had become so used to living "rough" that any rules were too much to comply with. Even in sanctioned tent camps or safe parking the rules were so simple and so little asked of you, but *something* was asked of you to contribute to the community. Sorry for the long post, but Dominic and his brother are like so many other homeless I've met over 3 decades. Some make it out and hope they do too.
  18. I do not doubt that he is in a lot of constant pain and that does make people awful because of the stress of the pain. But he's a special kind of awful. I defended Lisa until the follow up -- she's as vicious as he is. I looked at her as woman who had been abused her entire life and for her own protection was crazy submissive. His dad ... no words, but he loves/d his son no matter what. And Baylie. A nightmare episode.
  19. I had to stop watching one of the variations and then all of it. But on the previews -- is that Avery? Or whatever her name is. The girl who went to South Korea? What happened? IIRC he fathered her baby. TIA. I just can't deal with it,
  20. I just started watching it on On-Demand and yeah, she seems to get around just fine so why is she using a bucket? Lordy, I needed eye bleach. Odd, she was able to get into the tub sort of and all I can figure is that the toilet is made out of paper mache. And didn't need to watch her puke. If even half of what she related is true -- how horrific. As a side note, at the beginning, and it seemed to apply to not just Coliesa but all of this season -- "6 months". Not the year. Even more obvious that 2 hours is too long. Maybe just didn't notice it before.
  21. I just started to watch his episode and have yet to meeting Amanda. I'm on the west coast so don't do the live chat but know about the bingo game and I propose making the center circle, the one given, "tattoos". Huh, that's quite a breakfast and such a gourmand ... bologna and cheese sammies! Dullest episode ever On Demand filters out commercials so only wasted 90 minutes of what I have left of my life. Lawdy, this show has jumped the shark.
  22. That's sad. I have a lot of compassion for Dottie. She so loved Daniel. She essentially quit the program when he died. Just too much for her to cope with. Don't know about her gaining, but she sure wasn't losing -- not when you give up the program.
  23. I'm "enjoying" this trip down memory lane with TLC repeating the really early folks. Christina was up first today and the did great! And lost a whole bunch of extra weight by dumping her "savior" husband. Her WATN episode was wonderful. Now is Charity with the epic butt wings. I don't believe we had seen such a thing previously but what had always fascinated me, God forgive me, was her fiance Tony, This young guy who was also her daughter's uncle. Whaaaa? Anyway, he just sits around taking up air. IIRC, the daughter also gets into Dr. Now's program. And Charity succeeded. Don't remember about the daughter, nor if Tony stuck around.
  24. *RANT ON* Repeat of Tamy's WATN episode. She was doing so well until her incredibly jerky and selfish "husband" came back into her life. That poor woman with the lymphedemas and that stomach that hung down to her knees. She qualified for skin surgery but her jerky and selfish husband insisted they move back to Kentucky. The heck with her real physical discomfort, heck severe pain, he was homesick. He got her an exercise bike (what a guy) and her stomach pouch got caught in the thing. He should be ashamed of himself for what he did to her, but he's not. She loves him. God knows why. He doesn't give a flying fig about her. *RANT OFF* Lol, this WATN is the one with Gilbert reappearing as Karina's love interest.
