JJ admitting how screwed up he was back in the day was . Knowing this is so hard for me to take him seriously as a cop, especially a plain clothes one. By the way, can someone tell me what happened to JJ's sidekick Rory? How did he leave the show?

That's what I'm wondering and worrying about. I can't see Paula being there everyday with Whoopi. That's not good. And speaking of not good, I could not get through the 1st segment of today's show. It was very boring and uncomfortable like no one wanted to talk about the elephant in the room. I don't know if I'll watch the rest.

Unless you know her or heard her say this, you can't guarantee that. And there are Christians that support gay marriage. Hasn't Elisabeth mentioned being in support of gay rights.

Exactly what I was gonna say. How often is Whoopi "abrasive and obnoxious day after day." She's the leading culprit.

I so agree. She stood for what she believed and she didn't back down to Whoopi. And she seemed likable on a personal level as well. It blows the mind how people hate on Jed for doing her job. She was hired to give the opposing viewpoint. If all views were the same what's the point of the show. And if she was fired for her question to Hillary, that's ludicrous. I voted for Hillary and I didn't think what she asked was out of line. If Hillary survived a debate with Trump and that investigation, surely Jed's question was nothing. And if it was all on the network then horrible for them for getting rid of people for no good reason. They did it with so many cohosts. Who's next? And I have a feeling Paula is a supporter of gay rights. After all she is good friends with Sarah who openly talks about her gay brother. I can't see the two of them being such good friends if Paula didn't support gay rights. Plus she works at GMA who is very gay friendly. Robin Roberts, Gio Benitez, formerly Sam Champion and Alex Perez are all gay.

I like Paula a lot too. However, I prefer her there when Whoopi is not because it almost always turns into an unpleasant situation to watch. I can't bear to watch it because Whoopi is often unbearable. I 100% agree with everything word.

Whoopi mentioned Liz earlier this year. She said something like "she sat here 10 years and gave her opinion" or something similar. She didn't give a speech. They had a singing contest on her last day and she won. I think there was a trophy or something involved. She did like a Ms. America thank you thing. It's like that was her goodbye sendoff. I think Whoopi would quit the show first before she did that. She can be so horrible at times. The nerve and hypocrisy of her statement is mind blowing. And to think she wrote a book called, Whoopi's Big Book of Manners.

I've been saying this for years. It's so unfair because it's often 4 against one. How balanced is that? However, Ann C. and Michelle M. is a no no. They are both over the top, especially Ann Coulter.

She may or may not know but I'd be willing to bet she wouldn't care. As long as she's getting paid, she's good. I like Whoopi for certain conversations but she 100% makes things more tense when she is around.

Lucas has briefly mentioned Ali. I can't remember if it was last week or the week before.

The chemistry between them is wildly magnetic. I haven’t wanted a soap couple to be together as much in a long, long time. Good point. However, since Arianne is leaving I wonder how this will all turn out. I so want her with Eric but I don’t want Brady to get hurt. He’s done so much for her as a friend and lover. I can’t speak on how much bad she’s done since I wasn’t watching when she first arrived. Concerning Nicole, my introduction came when she was helping EJ campaign for mayor. She was downright nasty so it took me a while to come around to her. Now she’s one of my favorite characters. As far as good deeds you may be right about her crimes outweighing her good deeds. Her willingness to be a better person, her being extremely loyal to her friends and her sense of humor and spunk won me over. So true. And even though I like Will I don’t like the idea of him coming back now. I liked Will & Sonny but I have to say that I like Paul and Sonny too. I hate when soaps give you a couple and then break them up. Can’t a coupe ever stay together on a soap for a substantial amount of time? As good as the show has been lately, I think I’m gonna stop watching soon. I don’t want to see Paul hurt. I totally agree. Both ladies were wickedly good in their roles but they both did horrible, horrible things.

I don't know what it is but she seems to attack Paula at every turn. Maybe something went on off camera to cause the dislike. She got along with Elisabeth, Nicole, Candace and Jedidiah so I''m not sure why Paula rubs her the wrong way. I hate watching when they are on together. Bring back Whoopi-free Fridays !!!!!!

This was too good. From Kate and Hattie laughing at him to his shock and later rage, it was all awesome to watch. Outside of her being involved in a kidnapping, I wouldn't mind it if Hattie got away with what she did. So true. I so hate what they did to Aiden. He and Hope were so great together.

If she said that she had to be talking about someone else. I can't see ABC letting her go that long without making a decision about her contract.

I like Chaka too but her voice was not there today. Chaka is usually hit or miss anyway. Some days she sounds awesome and then there are days like today.

I initially thought this was done because it made Whoopi appear to be a bully towards Sunny. As usual when this happens I just mute the sound until she finishes. I wish someone would tell her that this is NOT funny and so 30 years ago. I really hate these two fell out. They used to be friends. I hate to co-sign here but she did sound a mess.

They were very entertaining to watch. I laughed out loud when she asked that. And Andre's look and response was just as hysterical. Then later on asking about his relationship with his mother was just as good. I have to think that Andre has to be suspicious that Marlena is really Hattie.

Please, please let this happen soon. That look on him is atrocious.

Lucas was hysterical, especially when he fell. Hattie was also very funny going back and forth talking like Hattie catching herself then doing the Marlena thing. He was very chilling today. Up until now I hadn't seen it. I've been told that the mayor usually appoints the chief of police therefore he can fire them.

Even though I like both Brady and Nicole, and they make a nice looking couple, I will always be team Eric and Nicole. It seems "all the writers" think that the characters have to be paired up with someone, anybody. Any character on this show being single for too long seems like a crime. I mean Eric went from Kristen to Melanie to Teresa to Nicole back to back to back. And she from Eric to Daniel to Deimos to Brady. It's madness.

Don’t forget a Kiriakis or DiMera. But I agree with you wholeheartedly. I hate that everyone has to be related. Can’t we get some new blood/characters. They all redeemed themselves in one way or another. We all have a past and all do horrible things. Although those “horrible things” done in the soap world seemed to be multiplied by 100. Jack became a better person and really good guy. I was introduced to EJ and Nicole when they were a couple and EJ was running for mayor. They were awful and so unlikable to me. However through time they both became two of my favorite characters on the show. I softened to Nicole when I learned of her need to have a baby and all she went through to accomplish that goal. The gentle and loving way she was around Sydney, her breakdown and slow rehabilitation, how she and Eric grew close again, the way she defended him & was accused by Eric during the Kristen/rape scandal and the fact that she can be downright hysterical all made me love Nicole. EJ was a tougher egg to crack. I hated how awful he would treat Nicole. He even said nasty things about her not being able to have children. All his nasty crimes (most of all I don’t know about since I was not watching at the time) and the way he treated people in general were deplorable. On the good side, he really, really loved Sami and went through a lot for her, even betraying Stefano in the process. He cared about his children. He cared about and helped Will on many occasions. He really cared about Abigail during their brief affair. He was genuinely becoming a better person during the time of his seemingly demise. And let’s not forget how awful Sammy was back in the day and she turned out to be somewhat of a heroine of the show.

The conversations would have a better flow and the panel could breathe a little easier w/o Whoopi there but I'm sure the ratings/headlines she brings to the show trumps all of her bad behaviors.

Don't they all. Hope: Aiden, Bo and now Rafe Brady: Kristen, Melanie, Teresa, Nicole Rafe: Sami, Kate, Jordan, Hope I can go on and on but you get the point. That's one thing I don't like about soaps. People fall so easily and out of love. I think that "kiss", the fact that they were each other's first love and the fact that they were together not too long ago says otherwise. So right. I just knew someone was gonna run in there. That was horrible writing.

LOL @ Woopi's bathrobes & hitting the mute key the minute she appears. And even though I like Candice, Crème Brule is a funny nickname. More like a brick. That being said, I do think the show would lose viewers. As much as she can be a tyrant, know it all, buzzkill, she bring star power and a certain amount of energy to the show. That's not easily attained. I don't remember any specifics about Friday. For the most part, they seem to have a great rapport. Paula can talk to much at times interjecting her jokes and comments. That can get on the nerves, so maybe that's what it was.
