  1. The situations were reversed last season when Jackson was being a total dick to everyone, especially April and his mother. He was yelling at April, telling patients about Samuel (which wasn't bad in any way, just OOC for him), stuck in a one-track mind about how to perform the surgery, disappeared/refused to prep for the surgery, getting drunk when he was supposed to be working, giving up on the patient when things got hard... But April knew something was wrong and she dug and pushed until she got to the bottom of it and helped him find resolution. It's a bad look that he can't do the same for her this season.
  2. That makes sense for the actor who plays DeLuca. He joined the show like one episode after Derek died. At the end of the next season, Callie left. At the end of the next season, Stephanie and Minnick left. His entire intern class disappeared around him. Then Riggs and Ben left. He joined at in interesting time. Three deaths?
  3. I think it was supposed to be a gender-swapped play on #MeToo.
  4. She's had two pregnancies on the show. The second one was during the Samuel pregnancy storyline. Any idea what storylines April had going on during Sarah's first pregnancy?
  5. It was a few HOURS after the Samuel scene actually! She says she finished shooting at 8pm and went into labor at 6am the next morning.
  6. Not sure why that quoted text was attributed to me, because I'm not the one who wrote that, it was @SnoGirl.
  7. I actually thought it was the exact same actor as the last two times.
  8. And was so impressed he proposed a merger?
  9. Episodes like this one don't save them any money. All the series regulars still get paid, plus they have to hire all the guest stars and extras *and* create and shoot an new sets. I'll bet this ep was more pricey than usual.
  10. Idk man, just going by what I've heard and read in interviews, like this one: http://www.gospelherald.com/articles/50665/20140320/sarah-drew-talks-portraying-an-authentic-christian-on-greys-anatomy-and-saving-herself-for-marriage.htm Fun fact: Her real life father played her father on the show!
  11. Sarah Drew is a Christian. Her father is a pastor.
  12. So why do you think your friends were arrested and released while the kid in the show was shot and killed?
  13. The showrunner retweeted this: Which is why I assumed it was intentional on their part (given the showrunner's endorsement). If the kid was white, he wouldn't have been shot. No question. You're saying if that was a white 12-year-old girl climbing through a window, and she reached in her pocket, the cops would've had no choice but to shoot?
  14. Neither officer we saw was the one who shot him. They made a point not to show or mention the race (or gender?) of the shooter. I don't remember if these guys were there during the shooting though. The officers were obviously bigger than the kid either way, I just wanted to point that out.
  15. Your sister's 20-something white boyfriend and his friend (I assume he had a friend with him since you keep saying "they") were basically stalking your sister and harassing your neighbors, and were arrested. The 12-year old black kid in this episode was climbing through the window of his own house — not stalking or harassing anyone — and was shot in the neck. You're only highlighting the problem.
  16. Do you have a source for this? First time I've heard of it, and I'm interested in learning more.
  17. If she stayed, she would have destroyed him. She asked him to go with her, and he said no, so she went to channel her grief into something meaningful rather than take it out on him. I don't think he realizes how damaging it would have been if she'd stayed. The whole Montana thing made no sense. Writers royally effed that up, hard to hold against his character. He was a dick to both her and his mother for a lot of last season, taking his own mommy and daddy issues out on April, but he was also very kind, loving and supportive prior to all that civil war stuff. I think Montana was originally meant to bring an end to the mommy/daddy issues and return him to the supportive/kind/loving parent and partner, but then they left the whole thing unresolved. They're an interesting pair because it's very easy to ping pong between their differing perspectives, when the writing isn't working against them. They'd be such a force if they could learn to communicate.
