I felt the same last year. This year I'm only sad for Maggie (she was definitely going to be point or at least in the triangle had she stayed for a few more years) and Robin. Jinelle and Jenna was expected so... but they definitely lost almost all of their actual performers in these two years. Yes the team always survives because duh, even the worst dcc is one of the best dancers (with very, very few exceptions). But that doesn't mean that a team full of Christinas and Savanas is equal to a team with girls like Mia, Emma, Jacey, JennK, Megan etc.

I think every year they say that they don't want to proceed with someone who isn't as good -if not better- than last year. I guess the same happened to Christi as well.

I think someone here posted that Kelli does send out some sort of thank you letters. Which again is different from personalized, verbal feedback. Can't wait for the results. Auditions are the worst for me-that's the only time me being way ahead of Texas time really matters. Pff!

Well she was the only one ever who got feedback after auditions and was "urged to reaudition". Why? Would they do the same for a random Dayton? Would they urge another mediocre participant to reaudition? And why just her? They should be giving the same attention to girls like Lacey who have the potential. That's special treatment. They're just being smarter with it in the after Cassie era.

Why exactly can't we say she made it on her connections only? There are many girls who keep trying out year after year and don't make it. I really do hope she proves me wrong, but Dayton would never catch their eye if she wasn't a Bramhall. I like her better than Victoria, but she is too vanilla and mediocre for dcc. And don't forget that Shelly herself said that last year her precious daughter got feedback from the judges, something that no other girl is getting. That right there is special treatment. She's just lucky that Shelly has fans on here and she's definitely more low profile than Victoria. Is Brianna auditioning again? I feel like she would have been feautured already-they showed Victoria,Dayton,Madeline, Brennan and Eri already. I doubt it was a coincidence!

She may look like a dcc (not to me, but that's I guess subjective), but she doesn't dance like a dcc. And honestly, "legacies" who have so much access to the team should be held on a much higher standard. I'm sorry, but Dayton appearing last year out of shape, messing her interview and honestly, not even nailing the choreo part is far worse than Kelsey being ignorant. Both Victoria and Dayton always had access to the auditions (which is already putting them ahead of other girls), have seen practices and appearances etc. i expect them to nail their audition, not just be "good enough".

So, i've binge watched the last half of the season and I'm completely bored. I know that people were happy Sophia/Lindsay was gone, but I don't think that's what was hurting the show. They have amazing actors who could really carry the show, a good premise and a solid fan base. Why is this show just so...mediocre and repetitive?

Just wanted to say that I hate calling other women "ugly". And Christi is absolutely pretty. But I do think that in the dcc world she isn't considered pretty, just like Taryn who I absolutely loved and still think she is beautiful.

I could definitely see her as an MDC (don't know if she's already been on the team), but the DCC have a completely different look. There's always a chance they would take on strong dancers even if they don't like their look, but it'a a slim chance. But quite honestly, sometimes I feel like they are just passing girls through to keep the numbers high. I mean, there are always girls who would never look good on the jumbatron in semis & even finals. And that's unfair to them.

That's true. She looks better than last year (more mature, confident and glamed up).i still don't think she would stand out if she wasn't Shelly's daughter. She's really cute! I can't see Christi on the team. Ever. I don't understand why they're putting through girls they've cut before due to their look. Let's be real, Christi outdanced half the rookies last year, there's only one reason they cut her and that can't change. Please Taryn come back!!!! She reminds of Bess. I really don't see what you're seeing. They look perfectly normal. Plus, Taryn is tiny so I don't see the need for photoshop.

I think it's a combination of haircolor,haircut and makeup. But they can easily fix this. I wonder why she changed her mind on trying out again. I don't think they will take her in for a third time, but I'm sure that seeing so many girls leave the squad and that most of the star dccs left within the last two years made her rethink her decision.

I said she looked around 30 as well. I like her (not completely sold on looks, but she is one of the best dance wise out of the "dcc hopefuls" we've seen so far), but she doesn't look 23.

Well from Jay's video it sure looks like there is low participation this year. The right side looked half empty. And also:are they doing the national anthem each day? We got a picture from finals (at solos) and now the vid from prelims? Seems like overkill to me but might be normal in the US?

Shelley needs to tailor her dress asap. Judy is the best dressed. True that! Also, why is Shelly getting this award? Is she the producer?

Ok that's it, we're not allowed to root for anyone in here effective immediately. Last year we were all (more or less) agreeing on #ericaforpoint and look what happened. This year we wanted Lacey to come back and make it and she is having a hip injury.

She seems really sweet, but I thought she is pushing 30. I'm not sure if it's the haircut or the haircolor, but she looks way older.

I don't think I will ever warm up to Gina. This might be unfair, but she has a rbf and I can't picture a dcc with a rbf. There's no way someone who said on tv she's better than the other girls and had attitude issues, just turned around and became miss congeniality. I'm 100% convinced she's just good at faking it (just like a lot of the other girls i'm sure). She is a really good dancer for sure, but I don't want to have that smirk anywhere near the triangle. Who do you think was the best dressed? I liked Kash, Stephanie, Rachel, Lacey, Tara and Lauren. Can't say I was really impressed with the rest.

Dance wise, she definitely is the weakest rookie alongside Christina. That doesn't have anything to do with her popularity. She definitely looks like a nice person and teammate. Kali looks amazing indeed! Why would they play the national anthem during auditions?

They should, but they won't be. Watch as Victoria Kalina gets into TC while girls like Kaitlyn and Lacey get randomly rejected again. I definitely think GL1 will be Lacey, Kash, Amy and Heather, but only because those were last year's leaders. As for GL2, again they have limited options. Tbh though, after all these years of having absolute stunners and great dancers as GL, i don't like the idea of Madeline (who will always look like a junior dcc) as GL. But I get that they need mature people so... i also think Madeline will move to Cersten's position in the formation and Heather in Robin's (if she isn't in the triangle). Might be unpopular opinion as well, but Alexis doesn't photograph well. I think she is an absolute stunner but for some reason I don't like her photos. Rachel on the other hand I think photographs extremely well and I've seen videos of her outdancing the rest of the rookies. I definitely think she's here to stay.

I don't understand why Savanah should be applauded for working hard with no improvement, while most people think taryn deserved to be cut even though she was working hard and made progress even within TC (while Savanah had a year on the team). I do hope she is stronger this year. Now that we know who is retiring, who do you think is going to be GL1&2, part of the triangle and the prominent positions?

Well I don't doubt Savanah is nice, but she is arguably the worst dancer they have. I don't get the disney princess comment either, but come on. They keep cute girls who can't dance, self absorbed girls who won't stay longer than needed and sob stories. No wonder the squad is getting weaker and weaker. I'm so happy for voty! I'd like to see Jinelle getting it, but she would be my second choice!

Are we sure this actually takes place the night before? Especially with the costume changes, that doesn't seem possible.
