My feelings for VK and Gina are pretty well documented in this forum, but at least Gina can actually dance and she’s not just Kelli’s ‘daughter’. But yeah I get that it was probably exaggerated for the show, but you can’t edit words into her mouth or force her GL to say that she’s doing the wrong things yet correcting her fellow rookies.

Let’s not forget that Jinelle booked her a doctor’s appointment and she lied that she went, which is also stupid. Let’s also recall that the only time a girl has been offered medical/professional assistance to lose weight was a way to advertise a service and kinda humiliating to the girls like Brittany who was thinner than VK is now. Meanwhile, she was dcc overweight to begin with ans managed to gain 11 pounds during tc and all that dancing, but she was offered a chance to fix it privately:

I know Danielle is a bridesmaid, what about the rest? Maybe it is a bridesmaid requirement? Jordan is going to be a stunning bride! I ge the feeling that Danielle has been a bridesmaid to quite a few weddings. Guess she really was a locker room favorite!

Well I don’t think they have that many candidates anymore. I guess they know who’s going to be a GL from the start but they need more time to figure out the seconds.

To be honest it looks like she was trying to get the hair out of her face most of the time. Not sure why they gave her (and a lot of other girls around this time) short side bangs.

I don’t think it has anything to do with ability. Show group girls are always in the front so that explains why some vets get pushed back. Then Tess for example was quite far back even though she was in SG probably because of her height. I honestly think that unless you’re in the triangle or in the second row then it just doesn’t matter where you end up. They barely get photographed or featured in the jumbotron anyway.

Yeah but it wasn’t that common to see a vet get cut during tc. I don’t think we can say for sure that this is common now unless it happens again this year. I think we all agreed that last year’s vet cut was uncalled for...

I don’t see evidence of Kelli “obviously” thinking Gina is HD friendly. There is a difference having her at point in a small group setting, presented to small kids and not the jumbotron. Even during the clips she was behind Lexie and Alexis who might be hella pretty but isn’t the best dancer. She was there in both cases because Kelli knows she is the most powerful vet.I don’t doubt she will end up in the triangle and might get point herself. But I think Kelli knows that as point she will have close ups and multiple pictures and her facials are a bit Joker-y. Sounds harsh, but if Gina makes it up there it will be in spite of her face. As for the old squads, I never saw anyone doing extra moves; just really powerful dancers who stood out. One big difference is though that their choreo has improved so i’d love to see Emma, Ashton and Nicole (for example) in newer dances.

Which would be great if they went with her ‘interpretation’ of the choreo. Not so much when 35 girls do one thing in unison and 1 does her thing, especially when she is at point. Then again this year we will also have VK in the back doing her own thing as well so maybe that’s this season’s theme!

Well I think again the “debate” is between those who think that triangle positions should be reserved for the top dancers and those who think other things factor in like personality/leadership etc. I personally think it’s a combination, but I’d rather have them choose the ‘nicest’ girls out of the top dancers for these positions and I don’t think Maddie is top 3, maybe not even top 10. I think Jinelle realized they were hiding her for no reason honestly. She’s much prettier than Maddie, lean figure vs weight warnings and I would say they’re about the same in dance ability. Don’t understand why Jinelle was so far back even as GL and 5 year vet while Maddie made it all the way to triangle and 1GL out of the blue. We’ve had a few debates over Kashara’s “rise” but I think hers was more deserved than Maddie’s.

I think Abigail is universally liked. Maybe Mia and Nicole as well? Don’t think i’ve seen any negative comments about them. Erica was really popular and we were all #ericaforpoint before *that* season/tc started too but that doesn’t count anymore.

Can I use this as an opportunity to remind everyone how disappointed I am they cut Lacey? 🙂 i really don’t get it because she has the look, she has an interesting “story”, she’s is a comeback girl and much better than VK all around. What’s their excuse? That they still don’t like fit girls because of reasons?

Spot the differences!

Alexis was quite far back in the formation last year even though she is probably the prettiest girl (not for me, but that’s probably their take too considering that they’ve placed her front and center on the squad pic after her first year), so i think they know she’s not that strong of a dancer and for me at least she doesn’t even have Kashara’s presence. I agree! I don’t see what they’re seeing...

Heather was roomies with Kashara who I assumed moved out so she needed the second person.

VK for sure!! This isn’t snarky and I absolutely understand liking her due to the way she responded. But apart from her kindness which none of us can actually verify so i really don’t care about her personality, do you honestly think she’s a good dancer? Because to me even in her favorite style she dances heavy with no control so i really don’t understand how others think she’s amazing. It’s kinda fascinating to be honest. I’m sorry but I don’t care if she learned her lesson or not. Any other girl acting the way she did would have been humiliated on the show (while her scene was pretty much cut) and never allowed to re audition again. And she made tc the very next year? She better start dancing at Mia/Nicole/Whitney levels to somewhat redeem herself. But she already got a spot she didn’t deserve so I can’t see how she would redeem herself. I can’t believe Khalyn actually commented that... Looks like someone won’t be invited to the reunion! I love me some Marshall but calm down dude, there’s no way you personally can attest to each of these girls’ “personality growth”. And you’re only a judge in name and because Kelli needs your services for free so don’t think your opinion matters more than ours 🙂

VK doesn’t need to waste time on other teams. The rest need something to make them stand out and prepare for tc. I knew you would appreciate it!😎

I just love how all the other girls have some info/credentials and then nothing for VK.. maybe we should add “kelli’s 2nd daughter, god’s gift to dance, beautiful storm, first of her name”? Any other suggestions?

I really doubt these are things the girls actually get told about. I don’t believe Gabby got told that her personality isn’t a fit and that they don’t like her body and chose to re-audition. I know most people here claim they get told these things like Keyra was for example, but I don’t buy it.

I see your point. I still think they should excuse getting stuck behind an accident because that will make you late even if you had left 1-2 hours early. Cut the girl who needs to date a human calendar to function. But yeah, not sure how they could accommodate true emergencies other than scheduling the interviews with a lot of break time in between them or being able to move people between groups if needed.

Definitely true! But they supposedly measure girls against each other based on certain characteristics so they will have to measure VK against the rest of the blondes at some point. Still can’t believe they cut this girl and yet had room for the ‘beautiful storm’:

I know this is true, but I don’t understand why they bring girls who don’t have the ‘dcc look’ into finals. Not talking about the Jinelles, girls like Gracie just don’t have the face and they know they won’t ever put her on the team because of that. It’s not like she can change her face and especially not in between semis and finals...
