Sixteenth and penultimate Helloween album "God-Given Right" (2015). In comparison, more social commentary than most albums of theirs. But after track five it becomes more or less what you'd expect from Helloween. I guess, to me this is the most generic sounding album out of 2010s albums of theirs.

Fifteenth Helloween album "The Dark Ride (Special Edition)" (2013). Came out the same year as their fourteenth one. Almost as good as the previous one. Probably [without wikipediying] they had a lot of material throughout the years in their heads and one album was not enough to convey their artistry.

S02.E03: The Eagle and the Sceptre
Rushmoras replied to paulvdb's topic in The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
Um, either this is how "the Enemy perverts minds and wills of those that he has befriended" or Celebrimbor is just as megalomaniac as the next noble. Haha. Between him and "Halbrand", I'm seeing evilness pouring out of old Celeb lad there. Also, ah, so they instead of recasting the actress decided to kill her character. Oh, well, gonna miss the elf-human love story... probably. So, it's been ages since I read Silmarilion and Children of Hurin, were Numenorians always racists or rather speciest against the elves or was it just for this show? Glad to see Durin is seeing through Sauron's shit, at least doesn't trust him fully. Oh, look, the eagle flow to favour Miriel... oh, no, the would-be overthrowers said to the rabble that it favours Pharoah or whatever his name is. I guess he'll be king now, since elven magic is prohibited or something... -
Fourteenth Helloween album "Straight Out of Hell (2020 Remaster) (2013). An almost ten out of ten album, but then the last song Burning Sun (Hammond Version) had to ruin everything.
-
Thirteenth Helloween album "7 Sinners (2020 Remaster)" (2010). Kinda an odd one, most good songs are those that are above 5 minutes in length. After the previous one, I'd consider this to be on average side.
-
Twelfth Helloween album "Gambling With the Devil" (2007). You know, this might be the most fun to listen to album of theirs yet - the beat is fast, the riffs slap, the vocal delivery is top notch.
-
Eleventh Helloween album "Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy" (2005). Probably, the best out of "Keeper of the Seven Keys" titled albums of theirs.
-
Tenth Helloween album "Rabbit Don't Come Easy" (2003). Might be a play on "Love Don't Come Easy", cause I swear the start of the first song is just like that song, and then it swiftly changes lol. Anyways, first of their albums that I would say its 10 out of 10.

S02.E02: Where the Stars are Strange
Rushmoras replied to paulvdb's topic in The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
I find funny these scenes where people are talking, and all they mostly do is stand rigidly like they have a stick up their butts, too funny. So, um, I guess, it does not take much to fool the Elves, eh? "Who are you?" "There are forces beyond evil Celebrimbor". "Oh, you must have been sent by Valar! Why, of course I will work with you, you shape shifter you!". -
Ninth Helloween album "Metal Jukebox" (1999). At first I thought that it was just covers done in metal up until Space Oddity (if I'm not mistaken by David Bowie?), but then I guess they made some orginal songs or at least covers that I have no idea what are the originals. Anyways, I guess, pretty mid.

Poets of the Fall. Nice. First time heard of them years ago through Alan Wake I video-game in 2010. In it, they were a band called Old Gods of Asgard.
-
Yo, Helloween did ABBA - Lay All Your Love On Me 🤣(from Metal Jukebox, 1999).
-
Eight Helloween album "Better Than Raw (Expanded Edition)" (1998). Not as good as the others, but they did return to playing metal again, so...
-
Helloween did a pretty good Judas Priest's Electric Eye cover.
-
Seventh Helloween album "The Time of the Oath" (1996). Another two cd album. Personally, I believe that it's kinda of an overkill at this point (at least listening back to back), cause cd2 always is kinda meh in comparison (or vice versa). Also, kinda mono music sounding album. Would need a remaster IMO (and judging from youtube vid, they did a remaster in 2020)...
-
Sixth Helloween album - "Master of the Rings (Expanded Edition) (1994). This time, back to their own genre of music. Maybe not as good as previous one, but decent as well.
-
Fifth Helloween album "Chameleon" (1993). It is comprised from two CDs. One CD is actually decent, the other - not so much. However, this ain't metal. Maybe pop rock, I guess (reminds me of what Imagine Dragons play).

S02.E01: Elven Kings Under the Sky
Rushmoras replied to paulvdb's topic in The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
I thought the change of time was evident from the subtitle The Dawn of the Second Age... If my memory serves me, in first season, Galadriel narrated that she been hunting Sauron's forces for centuries before she even met Halbrand... -
Fourth Helloween album "Pink Bubbles Go Ape (Expanded Edition) (1991). Pretty mid album wise, not gonna lie, though song wise - the one's that are good they are actually better produced than their previous catalogue. Also, by the end they switch their aggressive tone in vocal delivery to sound pop music as hell :D, sorry, what I meant to say, they went on to emulate other artists. For example, Les Hambourgeois Walkways eerily reminds of Parisian Walkways by Gary Moore..., which I find funny For example, this song: Hambourgeois Walkways:

Third Helloween album "The Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II" (2024 Remaster) (1988). Almost 10/10, save for that one song, and significantly better than Part I. I'd call the album - band Rainbow meets band Iron Maiden...

S02.E01: Elven Kings Under the Sky
Rushmoras replied to paulvdb's topic in The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
Well, I'll be damned, this episode was pretty good. -
Second Halloween album "Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I (2024 Remaster) (1987)". Very Rainbow music inspired album (probably because in the same genre).
-
Well, as "promised", started something heavier. Helloween's first album "Walls of Jericho [2024 Remaster] (1985)". I honestly never heard any of their songs, but I have heard of the band though. And, after listening to their Ride the Sky live concert version from that album - I'm convinced that Michael Kiske sounds better live than on the recording :D

Didn't he have problems with alcohol back then?
