  1. I'm well behind but I really enjoyed this episode; moreso than the pilot. I enjoy the three leads-- the only one I'm familiar with is Matt Lantner from his voicework on The Clone Wars, but I like all of them. One thing I am annoyed with, highlighted in this episode by Rufus bumbling his cover with the black Union soldiers, is why the heck don't they give the team some sort of brief dossier on the period and some kind of cover story?! Maybe this will be remedied in future episodes, but it seems like a sensible idea. I'm definitely on the "Flynn is Lucy's father" train as well as the "Wyatt's dead wife will reappear at some point" train because it just seems like the obvious place to go. We'll see what direction they decide to take.
  2. This was a decent episode; I mainly enjoyed it because Hera and Thrawn got to face off and set the stage for a greater conflict later. I liked getting some more background on Hera and the scene where Thrawn reveals Hera's identity and then stuns Ezra was really well done. Kanan was pretty badass in this episode too; loved his cocky little salute as the Ghost took off at the end. The blindness seems to be agreeing with him. I agree that it was a bit convenient Ezra didn't try to use the Force to escape their cell (or heck, that they didn't even separate them, but I guess that was all part of Thrawn's plan) but I did love how excited Chopped got about all the grenades at his disposal. I loved the scout trooper taking some initiative, even if he didn't think it through. Too bad Ezra didn't get to keep the helmet for his collection! I am liking the new EU a lot; I cherry picked through a minimal amount of Legends stuff (read the Thrawn trilogy and a few others) but the new stuff seems pretty good so far. The comics are excellent (Dark Vader and the main Star Wars books are very good; I'm also really enjoying the Han Solo one as well) and I loved Bloodlines and Lost Stars (I have the new Ahsoka novel but am waiting for a trip next week to read it).
  3. I thought this was a fun couch, though I agree, waaaay too crowded. I wasn't overly impressed with Devito the last time he was on the couch, but I actually liked him here; there was just way too much going on. But everyone seemed to get along well and there were some funny moments. Sam Neill (a perennial crush, along with Ewan McGregor) was looking good and his new movie looks charming!
  4. She Shall Who Not Be Named has a piss poor, condescending attitude which I absolutely loathe. I will say that when she was actually working and getting shit done I didn't mind her but otherwise I wanted to duct tape her mouth shut bcause her voice annoys me. I loved everyone sassing her because ugh, her attitude (and voice) grates. Gah, I would take her in heart beat-- she was miles above FBI lady. I think the ratings have been trending down since the premiere, but somehow I doubt TPTB will attribute that the new character.
  5. I liked the episode just fine. I like how the squad interacts and both Torres and Quinn learning new aspects of their role; I thought Torres complaining about the typing was amusing and I enjoyed seeing Quinn more in her element in this episode. McGee's initial proposal was appropriately geeky, but it got a bit dusty in my living room when he said fuck it and proposed in the elevator (appropriate for the show). But yes, I find myself wondering what sort of tragedy will befall Tim and Delilah's wedding; someone keep an eye on Ducky! (Personally, I'm voting 1 or 3 from AimingforYoko's list.) Also, if Tony doesn't make an appearance for that, I'll be ticked!
  6. Just watched last night... it was an ok episode. I felt like the couch has become more crowded as Graham as become more popular (I mean, I'm assuming he's become more popular; I've always loved Graham) and I really feel like that works against the chemistry of the guests interacting. Daniel has been pretty good on this show (if a little manic) and JT and Anna Kendrick were ok, but not great. Robbie was good (liked the performance) but agree he didn't interact much with the rest of the couch (maybe because he was brought on later?) but his story had me rolling (and cringing).
  7. I'm a little torn on this episode. I enjoyed it and it was great seeing Wedge (and Hobbie) escape the Empire and join the Rebellion. On the other hand, the risk vs reward of sending in Sabine to get out only two pilots (RIP Rake) seemed... well, perhaps not worth it? I don't know. I mean, I get that the Rebellion is taking a huge risk just by existing but I feel like this episode might have worked better in a different setting? But I loved Sabine going to toe-to-toe with Pryce and then rescuing Wedge and Hobbie. I love that Kallus is potentially a new Fulcrum-- it was a great moment when he helped Sabine, Wedge, and Hobbie escape. I think they definitely set the seeds for that in S2 after he was stranded with Zeb, so I am looking forward to seeing more it this season!
  8. Ok, finally got around to watching the second episode and I liked it better than the pilot. Maybe because I have a morbid fascination with airline disasters, or maybe because I liked the defendant but either way I found it more enjoyable. I agree there's a lot of suspension of disbelief that has to happen for this show, in regards to the cost and freakish accuracy of the mirror jury (in terms of looks alone, it's kind of creepy). I kind of want to see where they take this, and personally I think Bull needs to lose a few cases (or take some guilty/not pleasant cases) so he doesn't win (or feel good about it) every time. But it's fluffy and I like all the team members.
  9. Maul seeing Savage makes sense because he (Maul) said he was looking for "hope" and I'm not really sure how seeing Kenobi would fit into that. However I *would* love to see Obi Wan and Maul duke it out one last time, preferably with Maul finally being finished off. A girl can dream, I suppose. I'm also pretty sure Savage's body is long gone, unless Mother Talzin isn't really dead either and can somehow bring him back... I think only Ezra saw the twin suns, but we'll see!
  10. Even though it involved eyeroll inducing gender stereotypes, the scene between Gibbs and Fornell when Gibbs arrives to a candlelight dinner was just pure gold; I was cracking up. I would pay money to watch them in an odd couple comedy. They play off each other so well. I recognized the building maintenance guy (though I couldn't remember the actor's name) and figured he would probably be involved somehow. Wish we had gotten some more undercover action-- loved Gibbs in those glasses. There were a lot of people in this episode but they managed to spread the story around well and I thought everyone was used pretty well. I'm not sure why we also needed a parrot on top of all that, but whatever. They had a nice tribute slide to Gary Glasberg at the end of the episode, though I think it was the same thing that was posted online. I wonder if they will do something else when they get to the end of the episodes he produced. Yay, putting the Navy(ship) back into NCIS next week!
  11. I thought this was a good episode. I liked seeing Bendu again, and that he helped to facilitate the reconciliation between Kanan and Ezra. Ezra was clearly carrying around a lot of guilt from that (probably not helped by Kanan basically disconnecting from the Ghost crew for months) and the hug in the cave between the two of them was very sweet. I am guessing that with both holocrons back in their possession they will still butt heads over whether or not to use the knowledge stored in them. I'm assuming Maul saw Kenobi ("he lives!") in his vision, though I'm very interested in why Maul is searching for hope and why that would lead him to Kenobi (assuming that's who it is). I've seen some people speculate it's actually Savage, but didn't he dissolve into the Force/Nightsister magic when Sidious killed him during TCW? And Ezra's "twin suns" has to be Tatooine, so I'm guessing he would have seen Luke if he had kept looking at the holocrons. Personally, I want one last Kenobi/Maul showdown, because Maul needs to die. How many times has he survived now? I think he's a lot more interesting now as a grey character but I also want him dead. One thing I'm curious about... how did Maul know that Kanan's real name is Caleb Dume? Someone's been doing research. And I did get a little chuckle of Sabine being a bit shamefaced when Maul brought up that he had ruled Mandalore. She would have been very young when that happened but the whole exchange was a nice little moment of levity. I was bit miffed Kanan just walked into Maul's trap after he generally seems to be more in tune with the Force these days, but the whole airlock scene was really well done (I was counting the seconds until he got back into the hanger). The animation of the ice crystals forming on his body and his gulping air was so well done. Kudos to the show; I think the animation has definitely improved this season (not that it was bad before but it seems to be even better now).
  12. Seriously, can someone please tell me WHY the FBI is reviewing NCIS for a freaking DHS mole?! Which the FBI boss even mentioned!!! I'm banging my head into a hall over this. So.freaking.stupid!! And the whole pissing contest and non communication between the two agencies had me wanting to chuck a brick through my tv-- it's just dumb and frustrating to watch. Still not happy FBI lady joining the team; why do we need her? She can go back to DC right now, please. Bring back Brody! I agree with others about Tom Arnold in general but I think he worked here. I liked how unimpressed he was with the FBI boss. I have nothing against Percy/LaSalle but it was written soooo awkwardly this episode. I'm sure it would be awkward in real life but just be adults, mmkay?
  13. It's so shocking, and he was not that old. I've enjoyed his work on NCIS. I can only imagine how devastated his family is, as well as the cast and crew of both NCIS and NCIS:NOLA. Very sad!
  14. Finally got around to watching this episode (a week later) and the jury's still out (pun intended). I didn't hate and it definitely has "mindless tv" potential, but I can't say I was really engaged. I'll give it a few more episodes because I feel I can't really make a decision based on a pilot episode so hopefully it draws me back in. The team seems generally likeable and I did get a chuckle out of the "call me boss" scene, though, so I'll be back to see how it goes. I'm rooting for Michael Weatherly to succeed, but I'm not sure if I love this show.
  15. Holy shit!! That's so shocking! The cast and crew (and his family, of course) must be devastated. How sad!
  16. I was definitely missing Tony with all The Breakfast Club references flying this episode. He would have been all over that. (And I'm also now on board with a Breakfast Club heist movie-- go!) However, I did enjoy this episode. I am liking both Torres and Quinn. Quinn honestly seems more like a fish out of water than Torres; that may or may not be realistic but I like it. I am appreciating the levity and humor and, as Albino said, liveliness to the show. I miss Tony but am also liking the new life that's been injected into the show. I also like the new squad room configuration!
  17. I thought this was a great premiere. Ezra was actually pretty disturbing, between the walker and wanting to eliminate all the witnesses... Yikes. Even though he seems more repentant at the end of the episode in regard to using the Sith holocron, I hope he's still walking the thin line a little bit; it'll be boring if he just flips back. I noticed the voice of the Sith holocron is the same voice actress who played Asajj Ventress in The Clone Wars; I wonder if that has any actual purpose or if they just wanted evil dark side lady voice. Freaking loved Tom Baker as the Bendu-- I hope we see more of him! I'm almost cried when they lost the Phantom. Noooooooo! I got really excited too! #nerdalert
  18. Yeah, they didn't really explain this, except that it relates back Russo and the attempted terrorist attack. And I was rolling my eyes over the pissing contest between NCIS and the FBI... so unnecessary. Gibbs and Fornell work together on the Mothership; I don't want or need a constant battle between these two agencies. It's dumb, stop it. It still peeves me off that just because Brody slept with Russo, this somehow means NCIS needs to be investigated... when the mole was a DHS agent. Headdesk, people. Whhhyyyy?! Ugh.
  19. To be fair, I've only watched the first half of the episode (decided not to stay up until 11) so I can't comment on the episode as a whole yet but my current 2 cents is: I really dislike the way Merri was written out (not to mention the show just dropping the actress). It seemed tacked on and forced. The only thing remotely believable about it was Percy and Sebastian's reactions. Personally, I think it would have been better if she had come back and then decided to leave or been suspended for a few episodes. But seriously, the mole was a DHS agent, so shouldn't this be their shit to clean up!? NCIS saved their ass. UGH to this whole damn storyline. Not loving the FBI lady at all. And how the hell is she going to be a replacement for Merri? Gibbs and Fornell work over on the Mothership, but I don't need a random FBI agent tagging along with the team every episode, shoehorned in just because. Hmmph.

It was a decent premiere... I definitely missed Tony but am willing to give it a go with the new agents. I surprised that I liked Torres as much as I did; I am not much of a Valderrama fan but his character could be good. I am less sold on Quinn-- she was a bit over the top (on the edge of silly) but I like that she is another senior agent more on par with Gibbs. I thought Tim discomfort at taking over Tony's desk was sweet and nice of Bishop to support him. JAG callback!! That was great. (Not that I watched all of JAG but as it did give us NCIS it's nice that apparently it's not totally forgotten.) Would have actually liked to get some deets on Harm and Mac but ah well! Gibbs and Fornell are, as always, brilliant. I loved Fornell using "we" all episode and the deadpan "you have a doorbell?!"-- just perfect.
  21. Haha well I finished up last season just in time for the third season premiere tomorrow night! Of course, now I'm a little pissed off learning that Zoe/Merri has dropped/left the show because... Ugh. I appreciate that she was able to hold her own against Russo and was otherwise really on the ball despite the super awkward undercover stuff. Personally, I'm totally on board for Percy/LaSalle; I like both characters and they seem the most likely to actually get together... I just don't want it to be drawn out forever ala Tony/Ziva on the Mothership (what.a.cluster!). I suspect we'll be seeing some angst next season so depending on how that's played out it could be good or awful.
  22. Ugh, I am currently watching last season's finale and this sucks! Brody hasn't been my favorite character, but I still like her! And now she's unceremoniously booted before the start season 3?! Boooooooo that sucks. Especially because I'm sure the actress didn't have a say in the whole "sleeping with the traitor" plotline so that's just pretty lame. They would have "suspended" her for a few episodes or something and then brought her back or something. Boooooooo!
  23. This was a great episode to set up the season finale. Lots of action and intrigue-- loved it. I would have thought Borin might show up because we actually got the Coast Guard showed up, but nada. Oh well. There was a lot going on anyway, with Russo and the DHS being involved. Poor Brody; of course Russo is a traitor! I hope she kicks his ass in the next episode. But really, I was suspicious when he showed up at her hotel room offering a ride to the airport (like others). It just seemed off! I love that Pride hired Buckley to be the manager of the bar. He seems like a cool, capable guy so I hope we see him from time to time in future.
  24. Yeah, when you consider when Gargoyles was on the air, it's actually ahead of it's time in terms having a diverse cast of characters, especially with Elisa as the main (or co) protagonist of the series! Personally, I love that the gargoyles come in all colors/shapes/features... all unique and beautiful in their own way, which says a lot.
  25. Count me in as someone who doesn't quite understand why Pride should get dragged into the General's downfall because it was the General passing sensitive information, not Pride. But I guess the General will drag Pride down with him? Hmmph. It was pretty obvious that Brody wasn't in any real danger of drinking the arsenic laced coffee, but I did enjoy her "what the hell?!" reaction and thought the reveal/tension was done well, even if it was totally cliched.
