  1. Very true!! She was young enough to think she was................................"special" LOL!
  2. Interesting points! As I have stated, she'd already be out if she had any remorse. But can you imagine that poor daughter if she did get out and live with her?? She would talk nonstop about Dan and Linda like it was yesterday and not 30+ years ago! Does anyone know, if the daughter that offered to take her in is the same one whose graduation she ruined? Betty's kid graduated and all Betty could talk about was Linda there and wearing a tacky outfit! Guessing it's the other daughter because one is opposed to her being released ever.
  3. She would have already been out on parole now except she refuses to show any remorse for what she did. She is still trying to justify her actions. At this point she should probably be in a hospital as she is truly mentally ill.
  4. Well that's just it!! No issues with the monthly, but the fancy footwork with the Epstein credits and only getting 28K as a lump sum was total bullshit! She handled herself poorly but still! He could have given her $500k as a settlement and let her have some sense of security, but he wanted her under his thumb forever! He's saying he wanted to be rid of her, but in reality, he was setting it up so he could screw with her forever.
  5. This is actually hard to watch! Betty is batshit crazy but they way they've laid it out, you can totally get why and how this happened (Of course, not condoning what she did.) Betty representing herself against the president of the San Diego bar association was just asinine. Yes, she was losing her mind and not an attorney, but what was wrong with the judge to let her get screwed like that? You would think the one wearing a robe in the room would have some sense of fairness.
  6. If memory serves, he was just recounting his last words to her. Then he left early, was gone all day and the horse incident happened during the day, was my take on it.
  7. I think Kayce is secure enough where he doesn't need him to say it. He accepts John for what he is. They have a deep mutual respect even when they disagree.
  8. That very well could be! Plus he's so weak and needy. That doesn't help, but they do seem to hate him. Not sure why he would even associate with them when he's treated like that.
  9. Oh, thanks! I was playing on my phone when I was watching, so I must have looked away for a sec. When I looked again I was ready to retch!
  10. What about Dan practically having sex with Linda in front of his kids?? Nothing more nauseating than having to have it rubbed in your face that your parents or kids are doing it. 😂
  11. Have not read the book yet, but agree with most of the rest of your post. I said something really similar in another post as well. No one was looking out for these poor kids!
  12. Yes, that's what portrayed in this series so far, but in the original movies and articles I've read, Linda was just as awful. Calling Betty old/fat and making fun of her in front of the kids. Rubbing it in her face how often they had sex. I agree that she was young and immature, but that's a special kind of mean when you're screwing someone's husband.
  13. Why do you think that? I don't see anyone defending him. All 3 of them were horrible people, although I cut Betty some slack because I really believe she was mentally ill. Not sure if she always was, but none of the adults did right by those kids. Linda is not responsible for Dan's cheating, but she sure didn't try to make him a better person either. I've never seen 3 such selfish assholes in my life.
  14. This^^ Remember this was the 80's/90's. Even in La Jolla, this was a lot of money per month. Plus it was straight up spousal support. If she had kept her shit together, she would have gotten her kids back and gotten child support on top of that. Agree-Linda and Dan would not have lasted. Linda and Betty would have probably ended up co-dependant alcoholic friends 5 years later commiserating about what a shit Dan is.
  15. Well Betty's CRAZY came out tonight!! I get that she hates his guts, but it's like she's lost every maternal instinct she ever had! After viewing tonight, I think she's just comfortable being angry! She was probably angry for years and thinks it's normal. Dan was probably plotting to get out for years and she took his silence as compliance. What a bunch of messed up people!! I bet Dan and Linda would have been divorced by now. He's all about image.
  16. I would think Betty, Dan and Linda all suffered from this. The only innocents were the kids. Lots of carnage on them. Even if Betty didn't do what she did, those kids had a rough road!
  17. Thanks!! I will have to check that book out. Also the Clara Harris case which I am not familiar with.
  18. While I haven't read the books, I remember the Meredith Baxter movies clearly and agree, that they demonized her while this adaption seems to demonize Dan & Linda. The truth, like most times is probably somewhere in the middle. Will put my theory in tags even though I would guess not really a spoiler to most.
  19. WOW!! Dan knew what he was doing all along and had all the emotions of a sociopath. If you're unhappy, you have the right to end a marriage, but there's a right and a wrong way to go about things!
  20. I would be sad if it was him too. I go through stages of liking/not liking him but he grew on me the past season.
  21. It's not going to be X I don't think, no matter how much we want it. Who is your favorite?
  22. So.................I kind of hated it in the begining, but then I don't know what happened, but I liked it a lot by the end. The final scene was fabulous! Whenever they are able to start filming again, I hope EVERY show doesn not feel like they have to do a pandemic episode. By the time they air, we will be so sick of hearing about it after we had to go through it.
  23. I get that though. He would have been just a kid when he died. I know that it's still his uncle, but in an uber Catholic family, it wouldn't be the first thought.
