  1. If I hadn’t just read about Springsteen, I would have probably guessed Elton John. He’s my go-to for singers whose careers have spanned decades. “That flying winged horse” is closer than a lot of people got I bet. No doubt brains shut down when Mythology is a category like mine does with Opera & Asian Geography (and a bunch more!)
  2. 5/5 Africa & Wizard of Oz were pretty obvious to me, and I was obsessed by the muses as a kid (my hometown has streets named for them). I got Bruce Springsteen only because his birthday was a week or so ago and the hit albums in the past 6 decades was mentioned in whatever blurb I read. I got Friday because I recently read a book in which the 1906 earthquake was a pivotal turning point in the plot - 2nd week in a row I got a FJ right because of my love for historical fiction.
  3. 4/5 Missed Roger Rabbit on Monday. I figured it was a Stephen King horror movie & guessed Cujo off the top of my head. I got Friday because I recently read a book in which the sinking was a background plot point. The other 3 were pretty easy although grasshoppers & frogs crossed my mind for the plagues. Locusts was my first thought so I’m glad I stuck with it.
  4. Hello my week 1 FJ twin. Same result for the same reason (and the same reasoning)!
  5. My 14-year old has been calling him Matt Imodium since his first game 😂
  6. 4/5 guessed John Adams for Friday; only a few decades off 😉 It was National guacamole day this week, so guacamole & chips at the TF4.
  7. I’ve lost 2 weeks (thank you Hurricane Ida 🤬 ) so was thrilled to see 2 Jeopardy’s waiting for me on the DVR. I didn’t mind Michael Richards during his trial run, but now I see the smug & smarmy. I’m 2/2 but the week is young.
  8. I’m in!! Hope it happens for you! When you make it I hope that your story will be that you were the season 37 PT’er FJ contest champ! Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!
  9. Congratulations @PBnJay!!! Thank you @saber5055 for making this so fun! No joke, my first thought this morning was that I had to come here & post my FJ results before I remembered that what I watched last week were repeats. I amaze myself sometimes 🤦 You are an absolute treat & have made me laugh so many times. I hope you are feeling yourself again soon. It wouldn’t be the same without you.
  10. 3/5 with * I missed Utopia & Ethiopia. I felt like I should have at least guessed Ethiopia correctly after seeing so many flags at the Olympics the past couple of weeks, but I guessed Nigeria with 99.9% certainty that it was incorrect. Anyone else haven’t seen Jaws?
  11. 5/5 ** I knew German & Hoover, The Philippines & Astor were lucky guesses, and snake came out of freaking nowhere. I was thinking some sort of aquatic life, but somehow landed on snake. My mind works in very mysterious ways lol
  12. 5/5 * Cartagena was a lucky guess because it was the only Colombian city I could think of besides Bogata which I knew wasn’t right. The others were pretty much instagets. Anyone up for boiled crabs? The females are so delicious right now 🦀
  13. The answer to that ridiculous question is always a resounding YES!!!!
  14. 4/5 with *. But if ^^^ counts, then 4.5/5 with * 😉
  15. I don’t think that even chocolate can make beets taste better!!
  16. You stole my hasty pudding joke lol 5/5 w/* Almost all were instagets for me, although I was torn between Huey, Dewey, & Louie and the 3 Little Pigs. I went with HDL because I think the 3 pigs were in cartoon shorts in the early 30s
  17. I had no idea either. My husband thought it was either UofTX or UofTN since they’re both UT & both school’s colors are orange & white.
  18. 3/5 Had no idea for Monday or Tuesday, but Wednesday - Friday were instagets.
  19. I will bring Aunt Sally’s pralines for all!
  20. 2/5 one * Began & ended the week with correct answers. I guessed Potomac on Thursday, even though I had a nice view of that river from a hotel room in Arlington, VIRGINIA a few years ago 🤦 Not that I would have ever gotten the Ohio. And I always thought A Brave New World was about westward expansion. Guess not lol I couldn’t get past Navy blue for Tuesday. Franz Ferdinand/1914 immediately came to mind for Monday, and since Jimmy Carter was the only 1976 candidate I could think of, Georgia On My Mind came to me pretty quickly probably helped by the fact my dad is a huge Ray Charles fan.
  21. Hope you’re feeling better @saber5055 Sorry to hear you’re feeling down. You’re a gem!!
  22. What kind of dogs, and what’s a split face?
  23. Great idea! How does Bananas Foster sound?
