  1. I disagree 100%. I've been holding back on commenting on this, but fuck it, here goes. I don't read every thread every day. In fact, usually by the time I read a spoiler it is already a few days old. Or I've already read a recap, which thankfully have their own thread, (and peach does such a wonderful job for us). But why would anyone want to have the same conversation split into multiple threads on the same board? And after reading the - what are we calling it now, the American thread? - and reading a few days or a week's worth of commentary, I should go to another thread and do it all over again? Fuck that. Why not set up a second message board altogether so that Canadians don't have to worry their little selves with spoiler bars when they watch American television shows? I think it's very divisive. But if that's the way it is, if that's what the majority or the loudest want, whatever. I simply don't have to read the Canadian thread. They can sit at their own lunch table and I won't bother them. Ultimately nothing matters anyway and I may come back and delete this post because why bother?
  2. Well, a piece of our cyber-childhood is gone. R.I.P. TWoP.
  3. So is this butter tart like a shoo-fly pie? The best bbq chicken I ever had was in the Fort Green section of Brooklyn. There was this poorly lit store front with no name and there was this one guy and all he made were these small bbq'd chickens that you could either buy a half or a whole. And you got slices of white bread with it. And it was all to go. Man, it was good.
  4. Or did Old Boy take him there? I still hear the crowd chanting, "Nikki! Nikki! We want Nikki!".
  5. Thank goodness. If he's never sighted again it will still be to soon. He makes me root for Eliot.
  6. I loved William Russ as Tucker, in the beginning before they destroyed their own creation. I think the epic fail of Tucker was only half due to the horrible writing. The other half was SN. I only know him from his work as Tucker and he did a lousy job. He was all wrong for the part which showed me he was a limited actor who was poorly cast. He did not look good with Jill which was another mistake in casting. In fact, I don't think he looked good with the rest of the cast, his head being so small. He was his least bad with Ashley, but who can forget that idiotic glass door breaking scene, or that scene at the airport where they were both upstaged by a glass vase of light green stalks in the background. In theory, and if played by WR or someone else who could also portray strength, Tucker could have been not only a rival to AssPaw, but could also have taken him down. Instead we got SN who played Tucker like a pussypuff. I hope they never bring that character back, with SN, with WR, or with anyone in the role. His whole existence was stupit. Yeah, with two t's. Good riddance, Schmucker. Don't let the (glass) door hit you on the ass. If someone makes a Glad To See You Go thread, I'll move my post there. There are a few I hope never return...
  7. If you're dead in GC I guess you're dead in LA as well. No more B&B for him either, since he played the same character there. Too bad Phyllis didn't dance for Amber.
  8. Another good villain was Tom Fisher played by Roscoe Born. He was fantastic. I was so sorry they killed him off. What a waste. He should have left town, to return at a later date, and then of course John would not have gone to prison and died. Another gigantic mistake was killing off Jill's REAL MOTHER Liz Foster. So much about this pisses me off I can't go there with it. Speaking of the Fosters, I would love to have original recipe Snapper and original recipe Greg back. With families. It was a treat when they were back in GC for about a week. And then turned into David Hasselhoff and Wings Hauser, lol, but they were good, too! Especially The Hoff. A little off-topic, but speaking of the Fosters... in another thread here someone jokingly posted about the final scene of Y&R, which got me thinking that I want the final scene to be of Jill.
  9. But, and this is a big butt, although I think it was complete stupidity to kill off Bradski, I am enjoying $Bill so f-in' much! It turned out to be great for B&B, great for DonD, and great for this viewer. But if I could turn back time and not have Bradski bradsickled, I kinda wanna say yeah. And allow me to state the obvious - John Abbott. GhostDad was an odd choice, but I just had to go with it, ya know, because how else would we have John sort of? And Alister didn't really work out that well. I thought they should have brought him back as John's brother, Uncle So-and-so, and written him in as John-like but maybe with an edge. Could have been great.
  10. I generally do not care for couples names mashups, but every now and then one comes along that even I can't resist, like Bacteria.
  11. Well, I, ahem, ear-swipe when I use my phone for actual telephone conversations.
  12. Aw, Peach, you are outdoing yourself with these recaps. Great job!
  13. I think the most wasted character award should go to Noah. (No, not Neil. Not that kind of wasted.)
  14. I think of them as Mop-Itch. And it's just as bad as it sounds.
  15. I believe the show used to be broadcast over the radio and AFAIK it still is. That's why there is all the name usage and also so much, "Sis" and "Little Brother", etc. This way truckers, for example, can be mortified at how crappy the show has become too.
  16. I think the main reason the remake was "not so successful", to put it politely, was because the character of Barnabas was not played with heart. I felt like BC's Barnabas was just plain evil. Whereas I felt compassion for JF's Barnabas who was a vampire against his will and sort of a Pinocchio. Or were you talking about the movie with JD as Barnabas? I didn't see that. There's no point. Why piss myself off like that? BTW, I would have moved my reply into a more appropriate thread but there isn't one. There are 12 fucking threads here and not one of them is general show discussion. WTF? The only thread that should exist, IMHO, doesn't. Nuts.
  17. Ya know, back in the day, lunch was slang for cunnilingus. Seems fitting when talking about Jock Itch and DT Billy. It makes me think of that scene in Where's Poppa where Ruth Gorden is describing George Segal's penis size by sticking out her pinkie finger and delivering the classic line, "he's got a pecker this big"!
  18. Like Stephanie and Massimo had two kids, and this one was jealous that he didn't get to be a Forrester - lol. I'm not feeling this version of Ridge. We waited so long and this was the best Brad Bell could come up with? It must be very hard to cast Ridge Forrester. But wouldn't David Hasselhoff make a great Ridge?
  19. I think this might be unpopular - I loved Billy (BM) and Lily together. Although it was a very short pairing, I still miss it. In fact, I think that was the only Billy pairing I ever liked.
  20. At my house we called that show Dr. Dick. Even taped an episode and wrote that on the label, only to be embarrassed by it later when a guest thought it was porn.
  21. I was in Jr. High. I was home on Easter vacation. I looked in the TV Guide and saw a new show listed called The Young and The Restless. I said, "I'm young and restless. I'll watch this."
  22. I am totally psyched for the new season. I marked it on my calendar. I just read this article today that teases the season: http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/14/deadliest-catch-season-10-cornelia-marie-josh-harris-jake-anderson/
