  1. While Brooke never explicitly said that she prefers Wyatt over Liam, in the 3/4/14 episode, Brook told Thorne that while "she likes Liam, his relationship with Hope got too complicated, as opposed to Wyatt and his desire to simply date Hope without putting pressure on her."
  2. I think it is Liam who wants to get married and Hope wants to please him. Even Brooke commented that she preferred the relationship with Wyatt because they were just dating instead of trying to be in a serious, committed relationship. I would love to for Marco Dapper to play Thomas. He has the kind of sex-on-a-stick appeal that Thomas Forrester should have.
  3. At the party, when Katie was going on and on about Kridge, I bet she could hardly be heard over everyone's internal monologue saying," Yeah, yeah girl. Ridge will be going back to Brooke before the year is over!" I loved the nuances that KKL brought to her scenes today: Happy for herself and everyone else that Ridge was found, happy that her sister, Katie, was so happy, watching Kridge canoodle- a painful reminder that their happiness came at the expense of her and RJ's family, and acceptance. But one question: Did Ridge stop the wedding or is another Brill wedding being planned?
  4. Seriously, Ridge can't really be lost. Bill must be holding him hostage somewhere. The water seemed so shallow, he could have easily swam to shore - unless he was too exhausted from all the running he had to do to stop the wedding. Actually, the Dubai scenes, while being extremely picturesque, defied credulity. Another point: While, B&B is still daily viewing for me, the game-changing, paradigm-shifting plot points are happening without suitable buildup or fallout. As a result, I have a harder time being invested in the story lines. For example, Stephanie's death and the reveal of Brooke and Bill's one-night stand and resultant pregnancy were wonderfully written and drawn out. On the other hand, everything about Ridge's return has seemed rushed. As a result, TK still doesn't register as "Ridge" to me when he is on the screen. I am not invested in the Kridge relationship. Nor, do I feel the weight of the Bridge history. I was reading a KKL quote in which she explains the essence of Brooke: " Nothing stops her. When she makes her decisions about what she wants, she goes for it. She doesn't dwell on the past and let things scare her off. She's truly a person who doesn't look back, just forward, no matter what. No matter how many times she's been knocked down, she gets back up." This is truly Brooke's strength and weakness. She is definitely a survivor. But, by never truly taking time for self-reflection, she makes the same mistakes over and over again. Plus by trusting persons who have proven to be untrustworthy in the past, she allows those persons to hurt her over and over again. I love KKL and Brooke but I would love for Brooke to evolve somewhat into a woman who is a bit world weary- no longer a hearts and flowers romantic, owns up to her past mistakes but refuses to be slut-shamed, and calls out others for their hypocrisy.
  5. LOL I totally agree. I am starting to roll my eyes every time that Brooke says something about finally having a man who is committed only to her and then the following closeup of Bill wearing a knowing expression. It seems like the writers are setting it up as some great betrayal when it was really just a drunken one-night stand.
  6. From what I recall, B&B is very big in the Middle East. Ratings were huge during theMorocco story of 1994-95, in part because the actor who portrayed Prince Omar, Kabir Bedi, is a huge star in the Middle East. I also recall that, in the Middle East, anything remotely sexual has to be censored. So, I expect the Dubai scenes to be full of longing looks and nothing more.
  7. By writing nRidge as a complete ass, Bill Bell has made me a Brill fan. I never liked them as a couple. To me, KKL always seemed to play the conflicted emotions of betraying her sister in the Brill scenes. Plus, I never could forget all the horrible things that Bill said about and did to Hope. But, now, I want Brill to be happily married just make Ridge seethe. I can't believe that Ridge feels that he should have any decisive say in who Brooke marries. Two more things: 1) Where is Eric? I know he is against the Brill and Kridge engagements. 2) As of late, KKL has been looking smashing.
  8. And, when Ridge found out, he and Bridget commenced to having several make-out sessions- even though, Ridge thought that Bridget was his daughter for the first half of her life and, until a few weeks prior, thought that Bridget was his half-sister. The first example of Ridge "punishing" Brooke for her inappropriate relationship choices by making an equally inappropriate choice. I read somewhere that Bill Bell was planning to write a full-blown Ridge and Bridget affair but the viewer reaction was too negative.
  9. I agree. What's strange is that before they officially became a couple, I thought that Ridge and Katie had a ton of chemistry. During the scenes with Katie, Donna, Bill, and Will. I kept wondering how difficult it must be to act with a baby. When he was being held by Don Diamont, he cried, clearly wanting to go back to his real-life mother, Heather Tom. Then, Jennifer Gareis carried him out of the room as he protested even louder. And, Beware Anyone Needing Psychotherapy!! Dr. Taylor Hayes is the worst psychiatrist ever!!
  10. So many great, insightful posts in this thread! Now, to be a little shallow: Is Taylor wearing one of Stephanie's old pantsuits? Her haircut and the outfit make her look very matronly.
  11. The Best of British Slang : Slapper - A slapper is a female who is a bit loose. A bit like a slag or a tart. Probably also translates into tramp in American. LOL. One would not be wrong to call Brooke a slapper in the UK sense.
  12. I think that Katharine Kelly Lang doesn't get a lot of Emmy love because the character does not have volcanic emotional outbursts or monologues. KKL displays the majority of Brooke's emotions without dialogue. KKL's sex appeal and ability to generate chemistry with all her male co-stars makes her the ideal soap star. I am a big Brooke and KKL fan. This Emmy nod is way overdue. Too bad there is not a special award for Best Slap because this or this or this .
  13. That is a long time to wait for the Hope's and her Brother Boyfriends (HHBB!) story to get interesting.
  14. For the life of me, I don't understand why Hope feels she needs to make a decision about the rest of her life. This has been my problem with the Lope relationship. It's always MARRIAGE OR BUST. It would make since that Taylor and Thorne found themselves both single in Paris and decided to have some sort of FWB relationship. But since this is B&B, we have to believe that the fourth time is the charm. I really want Aly to kill both of them but that won't happen either.
