  1. Question. I'm in the middle of watching now and just got through episode 2 and is a "C" bad for a health rating? I've never really lived longterm where they had health ratings in a restaurant so I'm not sure how horrible that is. I'd eat in a C restaurant. Hell I'm pretty sure I've eaten in an F restaurant (if they rated them like that here) and loved it.

  2. Lucy is fantastic. She needs come to back. And damn if this show didn't make me cry with Charles comforting Nina and then Mabel and Lucy's little bonding moment watching it. Charles really is a good guy. Oliver too. I think. Maybe deeper down. :)

All the secret passageways are weirdly awesome. I work for a builder and we were talking this afternoon about some plans an architect drew for a new house we're doing and I kept speculating that all the "hidden doors" were really secret passageways behind hidden bookcases and such. I feel validated by Hulu now.

How long would it take those three to empty even one big bottle of champagne? Minutes? An hour? Two hours?

If it takes those three, who do not seem unknown to alcohol, and hour to empty that bottle they're doing something wrong.  I don't think Bunny was killed that close to when she came down. I figured it was probably about 30 minutes, roughly. Enough to get something to eat and drink, settle in and get the tv on. I don't know why 30 minutes, just about what I probably would take.

  4. Saw this last night and it was really cute, TBH.  I read an article that stated one reason for the parents' marriage problems was to give the role of the mother a more prominent place.

    Spoiler

In the same article the director stated they tried to cast as many Cuban-American and Mexican(_American) actors for the corresponding roles as possible. Spoiler tag as I'm not sure if the detail about the groom's family being Mexican is a spoiler or not.

  5. I think Schumer doesn't bother me that much (even though I think she's overrated) because she's stunt casting in the same way I thought Sting and Jane Lynch were last season. As much as I like Sting, him being there added nothing to the show, other than it was cool for them to say "Sting is the killer". and Jane Lynch just always seems like she's "Jane Lynch in a Role".

  6. I don't often comment here but I can tell from experience nicotine does not come off easily. Ever. After my mom died (life long smoker, did of lung cancer) the walls were bad, but not as bad as they could have been since I washed them 4x a year with a bleach solution. They still needed complete repainting with kilz. After my uncle and grandmother died (he was a chain simpler and nobody cleaned those walls for 30 years) that stain and smell still soaked through even multiple coats of kilz. It's been about 16 years now and every once in awhile I can still get a wiff of cigarette smell in his old room.

It's a family owned company and Christina is a stakeholder, whether she works there or not.

Exactly. I think people are getting hung up on the wording "bonuses" perhaps it's not the correct legal description but either the writers don't know the difference or we're to think the family just uses them interchangeably (and not that uncommon in my experience).

  8. Somewhat UO:

I used to really like King of the Hill back in the day but upon rewatch Hand and Peggy are just awful, awful people and parents to the point that most episodes are just unwatchable now.

    Really UO:

Also the Belcher kids ruin Bob's Burgers. Gene's going to grow up to be living in his parents basement and making a life size doll out of his mother's clothes and the girls have sex either and serial killer written all over them.

  9. The best movie parents thread reminded me of something. I don't like Dianne Weist. Not only do I think she's just not that great of an actor I just find her annoying. I think it's the voice that throws me over the edge.

  10. I jus assumed the bonuses were really like shareholder checks.

Goodwin did come off a little entitled but Dottie came off as a bitch (of course I don't really like the character so I'm not the most objective). The comments regarding employee benefits and treating them well was really gross. I hope Goodwin does find a company (or at least company owner) that has a better attitude towards their workers.

  11. I think I liked the NY version because it had a cast I liked almost completely. Fur the original I found grissom irritating (although I loved Warrick and Stokes) and Miami had David Caruso. There wasn't enough residual love for Emily Proctor that could overcome that.

I think original CSI was the BEST CSI. And I love each and every one of the original cast and supporting cast (who became full cast members in Season 3-lookin' at you Greg and Doc Robbins!) and that includes Sara and Warrick.

And I will forever hate CBS and whoever it was that had final say in not renewing Gary Dourdan's contract and depriving me of the yummilicious that was Warrick.

Lol, see I think CSI:NY a infinitely better than any of the others, but based on even CBS online (pre-Paramount+ days) not having the show i'm the only one who has that opinion.

  13. So maybe someone here can help me. I'm not a big coffee drinker however I love (Traverse City) Michigan cherry coffee. Friend of mine used to get it for me when they went home to Michigan (I'm in Florida) but that's been awhile ago and I never really paid attention to what brand(s) they got. I was looking on Amazon to order some and there's are so many brands!! Can anyone recommend ones to avoid, ones to get?? Any help is appreciated.

  14. I think the more I watch reruns (which I do a lot, and am currently doing) I like Sheldon less and less and it wasn't a high bar to begin with. Is there anything redeeming about him? He's mean and simiaaive to his friends and their accomplishments, selfish, demanding.... And  Lately I've also been noticing the slut shaming that he/they  direct towards Penny. It's just gross.

  15. I'm not particularly maternal and never had an interest in having kids so it's very possible I don't get it, but why would a sperm donor being an idiot/conspiracy theorist be a big deal if they're not going to be involved in the actual rearing of the kid? Is it leaning way to heavy on the nature side of nature vs. nurture?  That doesn't seem like Denise and Sarah. Why would it be any different that how they view the raising of their adopted kids?

Anyone following the Heard/Depp trial that just started in Virginia?

I think the filing was a big mistake on his part, especially continuing on after losing against the Sun in the UK case. This seems to be a full on vendetta against Amber, specifically.

People would have forgotten about her OpEd already. I wouldn’t remember it at all if not for this case.

The result of this trial will likely have real impact on how victims of abuse speak out against abusers.

I have not but the morning show I listen to has been talking about it. They seem to be very much on Depp's side.

  17. I remember one episode before I stopped watching where Rollins was trying to point this out regarding a music teacher who was gay and was being (turns out wrongly) accused of abusing kids. She kept trying to get the others to realize the mess they were going to make of this guys life. Benson was shocked when the dude didn’t magically accept there apologies and hug it out.
