  1. They kind of have to be if the sketch reveals they are all members of the same stupid family.
  2. I think there are a lot of possibilities people aren't considering. People are focused on their relationship after Maria got sick. Maybe Maria got cancer because Carol took her on a space adventure. Maybe Carol opposed the formation of SWORD or had a dispute with the organization (which might also explain why SWORD wouldn't call someone like her to help). An agency tasked with dealing with extraterrestrial threats might have issues with someone like Captain Marvel, especially if she refused to join them.
  3. I'm hoping that race is something they try to tackle on this show because I am curious to see how the typical subtlety of the Arrowverse is applied to such matters. R'as al Ghul, Jezebel Jet, and Killer Croc. I expect them to make Sophie attracted to the new Batwoman. And maybe have Ryan meet Safiyah and have a fling before finding out she is a villain. Or possibly have Ryan and Julia hook up. They've got a bunch of lesbians running around. They're bound to put two of them together in some fashion at some point. I don't think they can make this a proper CW show without some sort of relationship angst.
  4. If he doesn't think Bishop is on the plane, McGee probably takes cover and calls for backup. Bishop being taken explains why he was so driven to advance that Gibbs had to shoot him.
  5. Part of the story is that Saru may be emotionally compromised because other Kelpians are involved. I honestly think Saru is a good person who is suited to being captain for a science or exploration mission, but maybe not for a political and military crisis, but Michael is too erratic and Tilly too inexperienced. The logical thing would be for Starfleet to keep Disco's crew and assign a new captain, or at least a new first officer, as well as other new personnel to supplement the ship's personnel and teach then about their new time and technology. Hugh could probably come up with a viable reason send someone else in his place if he didn't wish to go. Not only is he declining to do that, but he is embracing going. I don't think Kelpians undergo varahai anymore. The holographic doctor in Die Trying said no modern Kelpians have biochemical traces of it.
  6. I read that as Book asking for some time to have a private word and the doctor understanding that code and giving them some space. I thought that at first. Now, I wonder if it is his mutated mother or some unmentioned older sibling.
  7. What if it's a set-up for Beale secretly paying for their house as a surprise?
  8. Star Wars is going to delve into Mandalorian culture in a way that resembles Star Trek going deep into Klingon culture for season 3. I'm hoping for a confrontation between Bo-Katan and the Armorer.
  9. Can they make season 3 twice as long, devote half to Boba, half to Din, and have their stories intersect by the end?
  10. I guess season 3 will be about Mandalorian politics, which I've been expecting since they introduced the Darksaber.
  11. It's established that Lana values education and want her child in a prestigious institution. It is not inconsistent with past behavior for her to want to send AJ to the best school that her husband can afford.
  12. I think they've taken Trump's "Sleepy Joe" nickname and decided to make their Biden the complete opposite of that.
  13. “Black History Month is in the shortest month of the year, and the coldest—just in case we want to have a parade." - Chris Rock https://time.com/3707793/chris-rock-black-history-month/
  14. As a fan of "too soon" humor, I think it wasn't soon enough, but SNL wasn't on the air right when he died. The circumstances of Cain's death were the stuff of Darwin Awards. Any anti-masker dying of COVID is hilarious. I would have wanted SNL to rub it in if Chris Christie had croaked, although it seems like he is out of the hospital now. Given his relevance to the area, how unpopular he is, and how easy of a target he provides, I think the writers could have been motivated to give us their best in mocking someone like Christie, although maybe we would have only gotten a Weekend Update joke about COVID shutting down most of the lanes to Christie's lungs.
  15. Given that people in this thread seem to think that Daisy should fade out of existence after her mother was killed before her death, I'd say there are people who buy into a Back to the Future view of temporal mechanics. I personally subscribe to the idea that all time travel theories are valid some of the time. Which theory is operating depends on the method of time travel that was used. If the machine in Agents of SHIELD uses a different operating principle than the way used in Avengers Endgame, it would affect the timestream differently. Think of it this way. I can cook a chicken by several methods. I grill it. I can fry it. I can saute it. I can sous vide it. I can braise it. It tastes different depending on the method I choose. Time travel also changes "flavor" based on the way it is used. Avengers Endgame chose to travel in time by navigating the Quantum Realm, leading to a multiversal form of time travel. However, Thanos using the Time Stone to rewind time at the end of Infinity War was also a form of going back in time. Did that create another branch in the multiverse or did it work within the same timeline? If Fitz made a machine that didn't operate by using the Quantum Realm, then maybe he "cooks" time differently and time travelers interact with the time stream differently in a way that doesn't invoke the Many Worlds interpretation.
  16. Are we supposed to suspect that the lockets may be, like the cosmic staff, a creation of Ted Knight? Maybe they and Sam Kurtis will show up again next season.
  17. In comic book land, no one's dead until we see a body (and sometimes not even then). It could go either way. Cindy might end up killing someone threatening Stargirl because only she gets to kill Stargirl. Maybe Hourman damaged Solomon Grundy's door just enough to weaken it so that Grundy busts out at the most inopportune time. I look forward to Pat finding out that young Henry's mother was Merry and that Brainwave killed her.
  18. He's a guy who can fight and who recognizes Pat as Stripesy. That's really all you need to know for now. This show has a style where each episode is named after a character whose story is revealed in that episode. Until the show decides that the character is important enough to merit the focus of an entire episode, you are probably not going to get much more than that. When it does, I am certain you will get the same level of flashback-heavy backstory that we've gotten with Icicle, Brainwave, and the old Hourman. You are supposed to recognize there is a mystery here (or you're supposed to recognize the character if you are a comic book fan).
  19. Henry has powers that Courtney wants to exploit. What could she think Cameron is going to do to the ISA, draw pictures at them? Are you sure that Cameron is totally innocent? We're being set up to see a potential conflict between a certain goodness in him and love for his family. Are you sure he's not the kind of person who won't choose his father? From a storytelling perspective, if you're going to have him take a turn to the dark side, wouldn't you consider setting that up by making him seem like an unlikely villain so that his turn is more shocking? At this point, he seems almost too perfect. I don't know. Maybe this all ends with the ISA in jail and next season is a reverse of this situation, with a recruitment drive to form an ISA Jr. to bust their parents out of jail.
  20. I think Cindy's going to carry through with her threat to kill her father at some point in the show.
  21. It wasn't that she thought she could take Cindy on, it's that she felt she had to in order to protect her friends. Also, pain meds.
  22. Cuddles chose a call sign related to his first orgasmic experience. Presumably, the other SeX-Men also chose their names from their personal sexual history. Maybe that means that Lieutenant Kiss hasn't gone past first base.
  23. As soon as Coulson calls in, they know they can call that number. It should be drilled into the head of anyone entering the field at that point.
  24. The janitor comes across as ominous in the sort of way that an ominous character who turns out to be a good guy tends to be.
  25. These objects seem to have a mind of their own, so maybe it wanted Pat to know. Where was the hourglass when Rex Tyler died?
