  1. Death in childbirth was probably pretty common back then, but if Lola DID die, then Julian would not feel the same pain/guilt, having had nothing to do with her pregnancy.
  2. Kenna: You must think I'm the most selfish woman in Paris. Bash: I haven't met all of the women in Paris. I think I might actually enjoy them! Mary was even in fine form tonight, acting all Queenly, and then upestting Catherine right when Catherine thought she'd scored a victory! AND scaring poor Francis with the fact that he's married someone with just almost his mother's ability to put everything aside for her country! Of course, the costuming was laughable as always! And we met one of Catherine's LIW! The budget must have increased! (Though I was afraid that the whores the Scots were with would turn out to be, in fact, Catherine's other LIWs, as that is how the one described their duties.)
  3. I use closed captioning for anything British, as understanding accents is a major problem for me (if Google Glass provides such a feature in real life, I'm in!), so I caught most everything in the episode. I wasn't familiar with the lead actor and did not find him either good-looking or charismatic, and wanted not to be following him, but, alas, it appears that this is his story. Ben, on the other hand, I might follow anywhere. I'm hoping she gets more audacious! Huge pre-Betsy Ross flags on the line, or needlepoint maps! It might be nice to also get more of Abraham's wife's point of view. She can't be any happier with the quartering than Anna, who at least is set up as an inn.
  4. I thought it actually got appropriate focus, as Mickey had quite a few scenes related to it, and the actor who plays Ian got as much as he could handle acting-wise by being mostly unconscious. Portraying Mickey's 'wife' as somehow jealous made no sense, except insofar as she needs his financial support. But they were never a 'couple'. Hated seeing Stimmy Jack at the end. I hope he's a twin or something. Glad Fiona's out of prison, I guess. I hated what they did to her character this season. Just because the writers/producers sometimes seemed to forget Liam's age and/or existence did not mean that Fiona would. She was too devoted to the family to endanger him or to jeopardize the decent job and all-important benefits the way they had her do. Would she possibly go off the rails when the kids hit majority age? Maybe. But at least at that point it would make sense. Also, I call B.S. on her getting released due to overcrowding. The justice system is adamant about one thing: and that's that you don't cross them. Probation violation is the only crime other than murder with no statute of limitations. They'd free a violent offender before they'd free Fiona. I'll probably DVR next season to see how Stimmy Jack is explained, but the only other way they could hook me back in is if they gave Tony the cop a regular role and storyline.
  5. 1. Superman (Dean Cain version) 2. Doctor Who (Matt Smith version) 3. Faith (the vampire slayer) 4. Rachel Ray 5. Nathan from General Hospital, because eye candy.
  6. Well, they WERE short of food, having destroyed stock in the previous episode, and you can never really assume loyalties from those who are forced into being loyal to you. Look at Siggy's earlier consult with the seer. I thought it was a cheese, and that therefore the Jarl would be the Big Cheese. I could be wrong. Loved Lagertha's solution to the husband problem, but hated what she had to go through to get there.
  7. "The anus is on you to take care of it." Oh, Dewey. The anus IS on you.
  8. I'll go along wth that, and had almost forgotten that the earlier group had seemingly eaten, and might be slightly drugged and unable to surge. I was basing this upon having been in a train car, and the acoustics not being such where you'd know what was happening outside, and that might not hold true here.
  9. The above was quoted in the episode thread as how Terminus was described as comapred to Woodbury by the people behnd the show, and I was thinking maybe they see the walkers the wy Lizzie did, as a sort of higher evolution, or whatever. Lizzie would have fit right in, perhaps.
  10. The more I think of it, though, why didn't they rush whoever was entering? I couldn't quite make out the layout of the car, but Glenn's group DID seem to be hanging back, which worked for the purposes of the script, but seems very unrealistic. Once that door opens you have your best (and maybe only) chance of seeing daylight again, and you need to do whatever you can to get there.
  11. That's exactly what I thought! You have an advantage when the Termites aren't aware of what you've noticed, and it gives you the opportunity to inform the others in your group and to formulate a plan while ferreting out more info from your 'hosts'. Rick gave up his advantage too quickly. I was totally freeaked out during the scene with Kober's group and had no idea what was going to happen. That was some scary stuff. I almost wish they had ended the show with a shocking reveal inside the dining car, rather than just the reunion scene. It seemed anti-climactic and not enough of a cliff-hanger if one wrren't hooked already. I am, so I'll be back. I'm hoping Carol and Tyreese just enter with a tank.
