I feel like it was also unnecessary here? They didn't have to say she had an unrequited thing for him. Could've simply made it about her wanting revenge against those who defeated the Earth-Xers in general.

I agree. I honestly thought Supergirl would as soon as it started airing on the CW. Really surprised it hasn't yet.
