Jill got a dress similar to Ellen's, but slightly fancier. Maybe, Ellen bought it for her. Maybe Jill decided it was time to splurge on another sparkly gown to add to her growing collection. David, on the other hand, needs one decent suit. This isn't it. Best Mama and Best Papa need to visit some Goodwill stores, buy one good-quality used suit in the correct size, and have it altered so at least the sleeves and pants are the right length.

Maybe Jill's social media presence was a draw for Brianne, who figured she would have a ready-made platform to share her hateful views and support from her mother-in-law to do it. Jill and Brianne will likely come to blows, however, since they both seem to be strong willed and attention seeking. Sam is just a piece of home decor in this scenario.

Tragic 80s aesthetic is all Jill knows. She combines performative modesty (except for her own skin-tight outfits) with a complete lack of taste. The results aren't pretty. If the Rodrigueses had friends, they would certainly be able to find someone with the skills to alter a simple gown. The Rod-brides might even be able to borrow or rent a wedding dress that was designed to be both modest and attractive. But BME runs every show. Every show except Heidi's wedding, that is. Heidi will manage to look lovely. It's possible Jill will buy herself something new to wear as mother of the groom. She treats herself to new things for these occasions. Maybe Ellen can gently suggest something that won't look too strange in the wedding photos.

Brianne is very attractive. Her skin and features are nice. I'm not sure why she's dressed for a different century, but not wearing makeup and not doing stuff to her hair will make her life a lot easier than trying to look like a Rodrigues woman. Come to think of it, skipping the hair and makeup may be about the only easy thing in her life with Sam and his family. He's good looking, but that's about all I see he has going for him. I hope they don't end up being David and Jill clones with an army of kids and not nearly enough money to feed them.

The boys are also closer to the camera. Jill's trying hard to send a message, but I'm not sure what it is. Good for Kylee and Jon for taking Gideon to a doctor and getting him glasses. He won't end up like his poor aunt Olivia, who appears to squint to see everything. Brianne, Sam can't support you but will expect you to produce a dozen kids and figure out how to feed them on your own. You'll probably try selling Plexus, but running away from the Rodrigues family is a much better idea.

Nothing is going to change in the long run. Jill can't help being Jill. I think there's a high possibility of another "people are so mean to me, but God still loves me best" post at some point after Tim's wedding. Jill will hold off as long as she can, but if she can't be the center of attention that day, her resentment will simmer and eventually bubble over. I suppose Samuel's compliant girlfriend might compensate a bit for Heidi's taking control of her own wedding.

Life has been difficult for Jill. People have hurt her feelings. She's going to trust in God now to carry her burdens. Jill has posted versions of this same message before. Maybe she can follow through this time. She might use her new wisdom to focus on taking care of her children instead of having her face in her phone all the time. I hope Phillip is in a good place. It appears he's not in a hurry to return to the barndo.

I promised myself I would not interfere with my adult children's relationships, but if one of my kids was making goo-goo eyes at a Rodrigues offspring for some reason, there would be a serious discussion. It's not the Rod children's fault; Jill and David have completely failed to parent them to become mature, productive adults. Plus, who would want the two master moochers, shrilly Jilly and lazy Davy, to become part of their family?

New converts can be the most enthusiastic, so Jill will be occupied. At the very least, Sambri will probably move close to the barndo, giving Jill yet another house to "decorate/clutter." From the brief glimpses of Sam I've seen in Jill's videos, he strikes me as somewhat dull and boring. I hope he can keep up with a woman with an education and a family that has gone through some difficult life changes.

Maybe Jill's social media should stick to the public god-bothering she is supposed to be doing instead of showing off her many vacations, shopping excursions, restaurant meals, theater outings, Plexus freebies, and wardrobe additions, media posts that feature her heavily made-up face, bleached hair with cheap extensions, and use of multiple filters to give the appearance of looking younger, healthier, and slimmer. Jill seems to be more in love with Jill than the work she and David are getting paid to do.

Printed tracts seem like a dying form of spreading the word. They're expensive, require a specialized skill, and end up as litter. The internet is cheaper and requires almost no skill (including facility with the language). There's also the lone guy walking around with a "The End Is Near" sign. Every city has at least one.
