For him he said the lack of attraction started to change for him on the honeymoon, which is coincidentally when they did start to have some fun - went to dinner came back & on camera Haley says "You're so much fun." Then she pulled away, which is her history & again what she says she does. There's no winning with that because her history repeated itself. She pulled back when he thought they were doing well & it confused & hurt him. But Jake doesn't seem to be allowed to be hurt or confused about anything which is odd to me. He just wanted to give it a real shot & she's "playing trying" for the cameras which is hurtful for him. He keeps pushing for truth from her (that she doesn't like or want him so he needs to stop trying) but she won't stop playing TV. But if he tries with her he's labeled creepy & if he brings it up to her he's a victim. So what the fuck is the guy supposed to do? Apparently for some he can't cut a break - it's a lose-lose for him, unfortunately.

(I haven't been through all the comments yet so apologies if this has been mentioned) - I thought that when Jake pointed out Haley "hugs strangers" & she responded that she "doesn't ever have to see them again". Not gonna diagnose but that & the fact she finds fault with all the men at the jump strongly hints at emotional intimacy issues. I'm not dissing her for this, & it's quite common with folks who have been hurt before as she said her past serious partner cheated & got someone else pregnant. That's a huge betrayal that I don't think she's moved on from yet given her comments & behavior.

On Unfiltered he said he wasn't attracted to her right at the wedding, but, that afterward that began to change for him. He's also stated to her that he has no idea how to "woo" her given she doesn't want him near her & doesn't show any interest in him - looking through him & he's not in the room as he mentioned. You can't woo someone who doesn't want to be wooed. 🤷‍♀️

I hadn't found him attractive, but as the season goes along (& seeing pics of him in nice clothes with a beard), I have to agree with you. I don't usually like beards but damn it suits him for sure. Ryan has a nice face. He can't do anything about his ears but it's a quirky thing that's his. His haircut & scraggly beard, though, are choices. 😬

Erik & VA seem to me a bit like Lilly & Tom of Miami season. They, also, were hot & heavy right away, had a few bumps during the show, & even though seemed way too different they stayed together. However, they divorced at the one year mark. I could see that happening with these two.

I did not say she was lying then. I noted that because he WAS fun for her at one time. SHE killed the fun by pulling back, something in the previews she admits. Personally I'm not gonna jump to that. JMO, but someone feeling that sexually inadequate probably wouldn't exactly get with a stranger on teevee. The guy was a bodybuilder & generally seems pretty comfortable with himself. Yeah when you're married & LOVE & CARE for the other person, maybe. But Haley's admitted she doesn't like the way he dresses & she also admitted (I believe it was on Unfiltered) that she was dressing him up to try to be attracted to him. They don't even know each other a month at this point, & the purpose for the buying was not pure. Other way around it would've sucked too.

LOL I'm pretty certain after that horrible 'honeymoon' they're not sleeping together or ever moved in together. Considering that, it's probably why Jake was miffed Haley was not clear she was staying over with Paige. His "waiting up" for her might have meant him hanging around the apartment thinking she'd be back to talk & then she ditched him again.

On the honeymoon they were going to a dinner together & Haley said "You are so much fun", so either she was lying, or Jake wasn't such a dud at one time. Then she didn't invite him to their little gathering & didn't apologize for hurting his feelings, even though he apologized for being hurt, & even changes her seat on the plane not to sit with Jake. I can understand that being a downer for him. She bought shirts with the intention of trying to find him attractive. That's not nice or generous - it's self-serving shitty behavior, & would be had a man done that to a woman on this show as well. Yeah, exactly. 🙄 FFS

Yeah they did, & if Haley has watched other seasons she knows that Heather walked so the show gave her the bitch edit; Mindy had enough of Zach's BS (& so had the audience), & she got a good edit. She says one thing for the cameras & 'experts' then dodges Jake AMAP. It's the jerking-Jake-around-game. He's forced to play pretend "marriage" on teevee but looks creepy for doing so - fun times I'm sure. 'Dr.' Viv is playing too, with that insane suggestion they should do anything physical. Let's just make Jake look extra creepy when he suggests they take her advice that Haley sat there & agreed to. When Viv just stops in later (yeah okay) to check on how Haley feels about this Jake isn't involved. She knows Haley needs to cut the guy loose but that wouldn't be good for the show. Great 'therapist'. Another low moment for 'Dr.' Viv was suggesting to Clara that Ryan might have been dishonest about his sexual history & possibly be a virgin. So she just accused the man (who they chose for Clara) of being a virgin & a liar on TV, while he's not there to speak for himself. Unprofessional doesn't even begin to describe her. I'm uncomfortable with pushing men to have sex with their wives if they're not ready, or suggesting there's something wrong with them if they don't want to or if the wife pulls back afterward - other way around would be awful so it's just as bad for the guys. Clara doesn't necessarily have issues with sex - women getting bonded through sex is an unfair stereotype. I do think she's searching for something real though, because she says "L" to men so often, but maybe it's not quite "falling in love" for her, whatever that means either. And I think she can end up really loving Ryan, even if sex is always just a carnal thing for her, which is what it is anyway, & I'm sure he won't complain too much. 🙄 😉

They could do that & be honest (Heather did). AFAIC Paige is hired. I don't care about her anymore. Haley doesn't want to be the bad guy, but she's making it worse this way.
