Looks like the Grape Guy in a Fruit Of The Loom commercial -
Well, if they continue Pillow Talk as an 11pm show on a Sunday night......this will probably be the last time I watch. I have to get up too darn early Mondays to deal with this and by the time I could watch it on Monday.......the "Other Way" will be on. Either some consolidation is needed or they can introduce new shows (like that sMothered) on a different night. (Or show THAT at 11pm). TLC is making a hash of this

Social Security International Division, Maryland office. They will deposit your money in US dollars (in almost any country) if your account ACCEPTS money in US currency (My bank has me with one account in Canadian Dollars and another attached account in US funds). If I go to take out the $$ thru an ATM, I first have to transfer the money to the Canadian account and then the machine will spit out Canadian money. However, if i go over to the bank, I can ask for any money I have in the US account in US dollars OR Canadian funds.

Isn't that what Larissa dreams of nightly?

Chantel & Pedro: FatherChantel Knows Best
happy hobo replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
Agree with you there. There is NO WAY I would watch that. I FF thru most of their stuff as it is. -
OK, I have now seen more wrong info about social security in this forum. A) you can live almost anywhere and collect your social security. B) the government deposits it into your account in US dollars and most foreign banks will allow you to keep it in either US funds or the countries currency (US is one of the few countries that does not allow banking in foreign currencies which is why you can't collect your funds in Euros if you are banking in the US) B1) It is not the fact that living in India would preclude her getting her checks deposited. it is that they will not deposit to an Indian BANK. (Just bank in another country) C) Yes, if something happens to 'Jenny" her HUSBAND can collect ALL her survivors' benefits IF it is set up with the social security administration before the death of the party. However, the survivor must be over age 60 and there are some other strings. He does NOT have to be an American or have a green card or even an ITIN. The foreigner will not receive the full amount D) Jennie can collect at age 62 if she wants. However, she will then only get about 75% of the amount she would receive if she waited until full retirement age. She could only change that if upon attaining full retirement age she would REPAY social security all they had already paid her. (This is usually not worthwhile) E) Collecting while in a foreign country changes the rules about working while collecting. If you are in the US and collecting BEFORE your full retirement age, there is a dollar limit as to how much you can earn before they begin clawing back some of the money. However, if you are living in a foreign land, you are limited to working 45 HOURS a MONTH before they start the clawback. (Social security is not about to have to figure out the exchange rates for foreign currency which change daily) F) when a problem arises with you social security for ANY REASON, instead of heading to the nearest social security office (as in the US), you have to go to the Embassy or Consulate in the country you are in. GOOD LUCK! They (usually) do not know ss laws so it will take a lot of time going back and forth to deal with any problems. Yes, there is a phone # for International social security problems but.....it is one office in the Maryland area and you mostly get to leave a message. Good luck getting thru. G) Myth: if you give up your citizenship, you lose your social security. This is not necessarily true. However, there are so many if/whys/wherefores that you really need a lawyer to be able to still collect your benefits. I moved from the US 9 yrs ago. I have dealt with almost ALL of these problems mentioned above which is why I am familiar with them.

Colt & Larissa & Debbie: Me, You, and Bith Phtew
happy hobo replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
If we were willing to leave drama behind, there would be no 90 Day show! 🙂 -
If he really wanted her to move to the states, perhaps during her time here, he could have moved to Seattle or somewhere with PEOPLE. I'd be homesick and stir-crazy if I were holed up in the woods for months. The stupidity of this man is mind-blowing. But hey! wanna give me $40k ? or......just $500 as pocket money? And, what sort of Mormon FAMILY will let an unmarried son shackup for months .......on their PROPERTY?
-
Where, oh where, do they get these people? I'm not only talking about the 'couples', but about their "experts". What financial advisor does not know that you can collect your Social Security almost anywhere in the world? Does he not know about the many expats who moved just to make that money stretch? Does he think because you move to another country you LOSE your American citizenship? Then there are the 'emigration lawyers'. Uh.....I know the girl was not clear but........with most anything more than a DUI, it's going to take a LOT of time and a LOT of money to get a visa. The more charges there are.......(and the more serious the charges).......the more time and money. Last season, I thought she was a dingbat. Now, she appears the sanest person on the show. (That is how low the bar is set). Can someone hook her up with Nicole's mom? I think those two would have wonderful chats!

S04.E06: Severed Ties Part 1
happy hobo replied to Drogo's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After
If Rooooos really wants to get back into the oil and gas business............and KungPao won't do Oklahoma cause she is so espicy........why not compromise and do Houston? Plenty of oil and gas work there. Plenty of Latinos there also. Houston is a short flight from OK. Houston is also not the most conservative city (although there are some parts.....) Guess that might make too much sense? -
The moment Darcy and her clone showed up, I tuned out. I see no relevance for those two. Darcy will likely turn every question into something about her. Perhaps it's just me, but I find 90Day is becoming less watchable each season. This season, the couples have been especially deplorable.

S04.E04: A Break Is Necessary
happy hobo replied to TwirlyGirly's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After
Panty hose? No Way Jose! For us 'oldies' it was stockings and either girdle or garter belt! Putting on that gizmo every damn day for 20 yrs was pure hell. Now, I laugh when passing by a Vicky's Secret that has garter belts in the window....... Pantyhose was such an "ahhhhh" thing to come into being! It was freedom (then). -
Not Mid-Western..........just Western.

90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk
happy hobo replied to Frozendiva's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Other Spinoffs & Specials
ALL OF THEM! I honestly cannot even watch more than a bit before FF the segments. Libby is ridiculous and her Andre is going to beat her one day. He's scary. Her father has to be the world's biggest fool. Chantel/Pedro well, they might work IF they were both orphans! The blond floozy from PA with her boy-toy from Jamaica? What a treat she is! Keep him/throw him back? Make up your mind and then do it but really, how nasty can you be? Baby Huey and Azan......hells-bells they are NEVER going to get married so just WHY are they on this show? KungPAO and (w)russ.....he's kitty-cat whipped. and she? Over aged model? No, more like underdressed, poundplus (for a model), head case. She things she is sooooooo much. Her 'wuss' is an engineer and could have a good position in OKLAHOMA or TEXAS. Miami? not so much. Meanwhile, she can shake her ta-ta's anywhere. Jonathan and his child-bride. Really? You can buy a teenager a jeep and boobies but they are still easily bored. You wanted to keep her in no-where-ville and think she would be happy? Happy how? Happy to see you and your too-old-for-her friends? Happy to do nothing but prepare to jump in the sack with you every night? Now she wants $$$ from you? Guess you couldn't get that from all the 'things' you have already given her? Sucker! (But Jonathan deserves it.) Larissa and Colt(ee) while her speech (everything with an ee) was cute for a while, it has worn out its charm. She could at least get her husbands' name right, if nothing else. Colt is creepy and would not surprise me to find he is into necrophilia and his mom probably watches. Not that Larissa is much better. Between leaving kids in Brazil and criticizing EVERYTHING from the moment she got to Las Vegas, she is exhausting. However, she is probably the best of the entire bunch. This is probably the last season I will watch as the show has gotten ridiculous. Not one story line is believable (some are certifiable) More than half of the couples are divorced.- 7.9k replies

Well, I sorta looked at that thread but couldn't seem to find anything about it. I guess I'll either just have to keep wondering or perhaps someone can give me closer directions? -
Can anyone name ONE redeeming quality Nicole has? I'll wait...................................................

There is no indication that Larry is Jewish. He refused to eat it because it was something he had never had and he did not want to get diarrhea. I thought they had said he didn't eat MEAT at all and was actually vegan. But he works at a McDonalds. Oh! perhaps he is vegan BECAUSE he works at McDonalds ? -

What pedophile accusation? Evidently, I am missing something here. Can someone fill me in?
