  1. I didn't watch the show today, but from these posts, I'm glad I missed it. I still can't figure out why/how MM can defend anything related to trump's policies(?), after the brutal attacks on her dying father. She's a phony, and I don't believe for a moment she'd pass up an opportunity for a job in his administration.
  2. I wonder, given the fact that LOD appeared on MJ to.....wait....here it comes......promote his book.....if Rachel Maddow would do the same if she decides to write a book! I guess Joe will have a "previous engagement" if she does appear....she has been known to outwit him!!!
  3. I guess I might be in the minority here, but I like listening to Meacham! His antidotes about current and past American history are sometimes quite surprising...stuff you wouldn't necessarily learn in a History class, IMHO. Yes. I do agree that a lot of MJ guests are there to promote their new books. A few have actually made the Best Sellers List, like Meacham's.
  4. I agree May Flowers. To be honest, I bailed after the first half hour as there are better discussions to be had but did flip back in time to hear him wax poetic how he had the highest approval ratings of any republican because of his stand on Medicare . . . in 1998. Hmmmm, who else displays that behavior? The look on Meacham's face was just priceless. I enjoy him so much as he has so much knowledge and is interesting to listen to. I wish he was on another channel. I also switched channels.....just got tired of the egotistical Joe treating us to his remarkable congressional success. Jon Meacham is clearly very well versed in US and world history. Was Angela Merkel at that breakfast? If so, why didn't she defend herself against the bully? John Kelly looked as if he were preparing for torture. Putin must be celebrating as he watches his buddy tear apart NATO.
  5. Oh, that's great. That makes 2 good news stories today......we're on a roll!!!
  6. Whenever I hear Whoopie call MM "Baby" (which she seems to do a lot lately), I keep thinking about Dirty Dancing..."Nobody puts Baby in a corner!". Except, in that movie "Baby" was a young teenager, not a thirty-something know it all. Enough, Whoops....she's ain't no "Baby"!
  7. Oh no, another opportunity for Dershowitz to solicit sympathy for his unsocial life. He's been making the TV rounds lately, but I don't think many people are interested in his "boo- hoo, feel sorry for me " act. Too many real problems in this world, who has the time to worry about an unpopular lawyer???
  8. Oakville, that's great news about your health, keep up the good work. OMG, that really does look like look Guiliani, especially when he contorts his face while lying obsessively. Gee, I used to like KCDC, but lately I'm not a fan. Why would you give Deshowitz another opportunity to act like a silly kid regarding his unsocial life???? I could hear Joe yelling in another room from where our TV is located....what got him so fire up? The Korean "belly-up" deal....the upcoming meeting with Putin...that obscene Montana rally...there's so much to be disgusted about.
  9. That reference to baby-snatchers got to me. I'm surprised no one has taken a tape of children and babies crying and played it at one of Trump's rallies. It seemed like no matter how many channels I switched to this morning, there was that horrible Montana rally. I saw many kids obviously taken there by their LOTUS supporters. So, are we witnessing a whole generation of bullies, liars, and law breakers being cultivated by witnessing the biggest liar of them all??? What on Earth is wrong with those jerks who stand there cheering while men and women of true courage are being made the butt of nasty, insulting jokes? When John McCain and GHW Bush finally do pass, will there be a "thoughts and prayers" coming from the WH? If I were the McCain and Bush families, I'd tell him where to put those phony "thought and prayers" really quickly. Okay, sorry for the long rant, but I'm so ashamed and disgusted by what's happening in this country. Have a nice day(sarcasm, of course)!
  10. I saw a brief interview with "Jockstrap" Jordan yesterday...well it was just a reporter asking him to respond to the allegations against him. He was surprisingly more subdued than I have ever seen him. Not too much about it today....is someone trying to make this story just "go away"? Didn't see MJ today.....didn't they even mention it? Dershowitz is acting like a kid who didn't get invited to the prom or big party....oh grow up and look around you, many people are suffering unbearably, and you're upset about your stupid social life???? No sympathy here.
  11. Happy 4th and Canada Day to everyone. WOW, that Jim Jordan story is really getting ugly. Of course he denies knowing anything, and soon his GOP buddies will defend him and call this another Liberal witch hunt. Personally, I'd like to see the offensive, rude and nasty jerk get burned if this story turns out to be true. Right now, it looks very credible.
  12. I thought the pitiful amount of time they used for Jon Meacham's interview was awful. He is very intelligent and could have given everyone a mini US history course if time allowed. And why was MM given the opportunity to introduce him? They should have had all the ladies at the table. Why were Whoopie and Sara not there? I only his opinion of LOTUS being re-elected in 2020 is WRONG!
  13. I have mixed feelings about Steve and Nicolle. I do believe they are very intelligent and articulate speakers. When they talk...I listen! However, how in the world did these two ever go along with the selection of Palin for VP??? How could they not realize what a mistake they were making? I agree that perhaps a "Mea Culpa" is behind their strong dislike of LOTUS and their criticisms of his administration. Didn't Steve recently announce he is leaving the GOP? Will Nicolle also leave??
  14. Jon Meacham should prove to be an interesting, well informed guest on Tues. My guess is MM will be so unable to keep up with his intellect and knowledge of world history, including the US., that she will make a fool of herself. Either that, or she will be wearing some kind of device that her husband will be secretly telling her what to say. I think the stack of blue cards she'll need might just hide her face!!! This show should be quite interesting.
  15. Okay, this post was sooooooo funny! Some of it may well be true.....or close to it. Maybe off screen they have some chemistry between them, but I sure don't see it on the show. Could they simply be getting tired of each other? Or perhaps the excitement of their secret affair has worn off? Something seems "off" about them when their together.
