I agree. It was clear that Luke was very close to his dad when he was alive. Zach’s dad, I think, ran off soon after he was born. A bit like Jess’. So he never really knew him.

I completely agree. That really annoyed me about Lorelai. She complained about them not wanting anything to do with Rory and Chris being awol all the time and then when they do make the effort, she doesn’t like it. Even Rory called her out on it when she kept that call from Chris a secret when he wanted Rory to stay over.

This is really hard now. I actually liked Jason and I loved the moment in 3 so reluctantly I’m going to have to go with 10.

As much as I love 5, 24 was a more major development between Paris and Rory and I loved it. I can just imagine how many times Madeline and Louise would have ditched Paris in the past so for Paris to see them finally get blasted for it must have been a good moment. And it was the start of a tentative friendship between her and Rory as well. So 24 to win! ?

This is hard now but I’ll have to go with 16 as well.

And Rory really having a go at Emily for breaking her mom and Luke up. If she didn’t care for Luke, she wouldn’t have been that angry about it. And at the vow renewal after she was caught with Logan, the first person she asked about to Lorelai was Luke. She didn’t seem to care about her dad but she cared that Luke was so angry.

I agree. They may not have shown it on the show but they certainly implied that Luke and Rory meant a lot to each other. And even when Lorelai broke up with Luke in season 7, Rory still went into the diner after it reopened and then again later when she brought Logan.

That really annoyed me as well! It was Dean’s life and she thought she still had a say in it even though she chose Jess over him. I didn’t particularly like Dean but I was with him when he told her off after she got angry at him for wanting to get married and then later going part time at college.

No I don’t think he used Rory or Paul Anka to get closer to Lorelai. He had his own relationship with Rory separate to Lorelai and I think he came to genuinely care for Paul Anka as well.

I’m not saying she hasn’t. Just that I can understand what Luke would see in her. Plus he loves Rory too so I think that was part of it as well. He loved them both.
