  1. She kinda talked over him. I felt he had really good chemistry with Lauren so far. There is now way in hell that woman is an empath. I would bet big money on that.
  2. How is he a chauvinist? I like him, and I like that he wants to be protective of his wife and family. What lady doesn't want that? I don't know if it's just editing, but she cut him off once or twice, and seemed to talk over him. Didn't seem like a good listener. I write contestants like that off in my head. Other than that, I did like her.
  3. Wow that's a good theory. I think it has a lot of merit. I will have to re-watch the "morning after Ivan" scenes. You are probably right. Or maybe she was still going to give a rose to Ivan since he was part of the final 2, but let the producers know that there were some doubts with him due to the FS date, and then the producers did the Rachel, Ben stuff. Interesting.
  4. I should have beens specific. I meant more using them to sleep together. Not judging. Just saying what would be considered conservative, that's all. Yeah, Sean was conservative in his approach. And like you said, we don't really know what went down in the suites, so I won't conjecture too much 🤪
  5. The thing I'm confused about is didn't Tayshia say, before Ben arrived, that she was giving both roses to Zac and Ivan in that final rose ceremony? I'm pretty sure she said that. If the religion thing became a factor after the FS date then why would she say she would give him a rose at that ceremony? So confusing. No offense, but I wouldn't necessarily call someone who does FS dates conservative. Christian? Sure. Conservative? Nah.
  6. Oh man. Ok, I take that back lol. I think Raven and her man are still together. Don't think they are married yet, though.
  7. The last part of your post brings to light a very valid issue...the show itself changes what these men want...going from wanting to settle down with one woman and get married to maybe wanting to keep playing the field after gaining fame. Also, I believe the Bachelorette mirrors real life dating more than the Bachelor--in that a woman is getting woo'ed by several men before choosing the one she likes best. Women traditionally don't initiate woo'ing, and especially not so if other women are in the picture. She will sit back until she is properly woo'ed and knows she is the only woman the man wants. At least this is how the beginning of relationships usually work. The middle and end is a different story. That being said, I think BIP mirrors reality the best among all three shows. It's why I enjoy watching it the most and I feel it has a higher success rate than the other shows lately.
  8. Haha ok. I won't. Interesting if true, though.
  9. Glad I'm not the only one. Very well put. I agree 100%. I feel she didn't talk about herself that much. Not sure why...if it's because the men didn't ask, or if the editors just didn't show it.
  10. Agree. I'm a bigger fan of him than her. She is nice. But just seemed too guarded all season. I feel I don't know her real personality. Or like she is hiding her real personality.
  11. Lol they are oppsoites. But I can relate to T more than C. C fell in love in literally one week...maybe shorter! Good observation! I think you are right!
  12. Two thoughts so far: 1. Pretty sure she was dead set on giving Ivan one of the two roses before Ben showed up. Weird to all of a sudden send him home over something that came up during the FS. Just seems really fake and inauthentic. Just tell the man the truth. 2. I love Tayshia's dad. He is such a gem!
  13. Agree. No. They didn't used to do this. And yes, it is gross.
  14. Hi all! I have not posted here in years, although I read this forum every single season lol. I felt compelled to jump in tonight 🙂 What I am thinking tonight is how, the more I watch this show, the more the sleeping with multiple people in the FS is really problematic--especially for the Bachelorette franchise. And now that they have the final guys in one room during the FS dates is even more disturbing and gross. This is not the way to add to the foundation of a relationship or to launch a successful engagement or marriage. It's the opposite in fact. It's relationship krypronite or poison. I think this is one reason why Brandan left. He felt deep in his gut how wrong this all is and how it would ruin his trust in this engagement being strong. Him being married before means he didn't want to jump easily into another engagement...so he really thought this through. And he is the only guy who saw things clearly. I hope more bachelors and bachelorettes stop sleeping with multiple finalists. It's so bad for the relationship--especially when Bachette is then lead (call me sexist, but that's human nature). The end 😄
  15. I kinda like the dumb blonde bit lol. I think this is more a reflection of the entertainment/interest value of the other cast members than of the twins themselves. They don't have much to compete with in terms of comedic timing and jokes go. Well there's Wells and he turned into the king of petty, so yeah...not much competition. Anyway, I still like 'em lol :)
  16. THIS! I found this to be one of the weirder parts of the entire season. Christen, for all her niceness and sincerity, seemed a bit "off" to me...mostly from the clip of her in the intro (she just seems not entirely "with it" during that clip) and then her reaction to Jack at the end just confirmed it for me. He was one of the most normal people on the show and what he was proposing was not strange considering that they did hang out and make out as well. And didn't they both exchange roses or something? Anyway, I was as dumbfounded as him by her reaction. How could someone who you made out with seem so shocked that you want to keep in touch with them in a "dating" sense after the show. I mean c'mon. I guess common sense doesn't occur in Paradise. What made me feel even more bad for Jack was that he dissed one of the twins last week in order to get to know Christen better...and she did him like that? Damn. Anyway, I still love ya, Jack, and you are one of my faves! I hope he gets chosen as the bachelor one day :) True...agree with you and the others who are defending D-Lo. She didn't do anything super terrible. Dean did say he was single and taking a break from Kristina. He is the one that was flip-flopping and playing the girls. And I say this as a girl who HAS hated an "other girl" in real life because she actually DID do me dirty. In this case, D-Lo didn't play dirty. Sorry. Anyway, I hope both girls find a good man in the future and I hope Dean STAYS SINGLE and gets some therapy.
  17. I must be in the extreme minority because I found the twins to be hilarious and a breath of fresh air amongts the stuffiness of this season. They both have a sharp sense of humor and great comedic timing. I'm not surprised that they have a show lined up. If their goal was to look for love, yes, I agree that they failed miserably in their strategy. But if their goal was to shake things up and highlight their off-the-wall and off-the-cuff personalities, then they did exactly that. They are only 24 or so...so still young and unpolished in their approach to most things. But I think they will grow into their personalities a bit more and turn out ok. I love how they went out with guns blazing. It wouldn't have mattered who rejected them and how. They were just pissed at the setup of the show in general and how they, like others have mentioned, were brought in at the end when no one was available. And as much as they made fun of Tickle Monster, I think whichever one went on a date with him would have been pleasantly surprised by him as some of the other girls were. But, alas, they left and that discovery was not meant to be. Also, as much as I, like most of you, hated the "scallop finger" joke this season, I love how the twins played on it at the end by throwing them and saying that now they were scallop fingers (lol). I dunno. I enjoy sarcasm and humor that pushes the envelope., and these girls delivered. Thank you, twins lol. They were much better than most of the rest of the uptight crew. Don't get me started on stuck-up Taylor and equally stuck-up Derek, mean-girl Amanda, rude and generally rough around the edges Jasmine, equally rude Alexis, D-bag Dean, etc. The only people that I like better in terms of "enetertainment" and "people I'd actaully want to hang out with" value are Daniel and Lacey. No one else on this damn show had a sense of humor. Except Kristina...she was cool. And Wells...but his humor was actually more rude (he went too far with the scallop finger thing). Anyway, there you have it...those are the people I'd hang out with in real life based solely on their sense of humor. I don't mind being in the minority. Life is tough...I like to be entertained! lol
  18. I don't agree. People with trauma need THERAPY first...before even getting into a serious relationship...or at the least simultaneously. Using a romantic partner as a therapist and "emotional giver" is selfish and wrong. Romantic relationships are supposed to be balanced with both people giving and taking. If someone is looking for a one-sided relationship in which they only take while the other gives, they can fork over the cash for a therapist...not use people.
  19. I didn't see much of Taylor on Nick's season, but I thought she was nice enough on this season...same with Derek. But this week, Taylor seemed so mean and b*tchy...like in every way. I was like "where the heck did that come from?", but then again, I know that she was not well-liked on Nick's season, so I came to the conclusion that that must be why. After that realization, I wondered why Derek, who seems so nice, was with someone as mean and controlling as Taylor. It perplexed me. However, in an effort to catch up on my viewing of last week's episodes, I re-watched the episodes from the previous week's. In doing so, I saw a similar mean streak in Derek as well. If you recall, when Alex first walked in, they cut to Derek's one-on-one interview and he was trashing Alex unnecessarily...and in a very b*tchy and mean way. It was at that moment that I realized, "Derek and Taylor DESERVE each other!" They are both mean a*holes. And here I thought they were a very cute and sweet couple. Not anymore.
  20. Yup. This was how I felt. I still have to do more digging to determine how I feel as to whether he may be a racist or not, but either way, the pile-on was uncomfortable to watch. I didn't like that he had tears in his eyes the whole time...and that they dragged it out even after he kept apologizing. I would have felt that way no matter who was sitting in that chair. And I also felt back for Kenny when he was getting picked on by Lee. I just don't like seeing people get hurt.
