  1. Do you think that's why she says such outrages things, to get more air time?
  2. “I need winners on this team. I’m creating one super team. I want to go back to the glory days and in order to do that, we have to get rid of who’s holding this team back. Nobody’s safe." DO IT. Just do it. Get rid of Kendall! Nia, too. I like Nia, I do, and I'm always hoping she will do well but she has always been one of the weakest dancers. Since this show is scripted, why can't there be a better script? The story lines are stupid, and the mothers are stupid-er. LOL. We're not putting up with Abby's treatment, we'll just go to another studio. --to-- Cuts? Abby's making cuts? Oh no, I'm so nervous Abby might cut my daughter from her team. Jill with her talking head recaps... 1) like we don't know what we just watched, and... 2) LIKE WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WE JUST WATCHED! Either Jill is truly delusional or she thinks she can talk everyone into believing the spin she puts on everything because more times than not, the way Jill sees things is not the way I saw it.
  3. What's with the Elite Moms... How did the producers find so many like-minded people, or is it mob mentality, (herd mentality) ? They're all victims. Not one of these mothers ever accepts responsibility for any thing. 'I wanted to be on TV so I forced my child into reality TV. I begged, and fought tooth and nail to get my child into an abusive environment. I watched as my child was belittled and humiliated, not only in class but on national television. I know that all this has hurt my child's self-image but I dragged her back week after week, year after year. I set a poor example as a mother and a woman. I left other children at home for my daughter and I to be a part of this. I blame the teacher when my average child doesn't win a fake competition. I blame the teacher for everything. This is all Abby's fault!!! Oh, but still, I need Abby to validate that my child is an amazing singer, her go-to-girl, her #1 soloist, a star!' How long ago did Brynn get her jacket? How much did she and her mom put up with to become a member of the ALDC? And suddenly, now they don't want to be there? I'm sick of the team vs team story line. ALDC vs Candy Apples Elite vs Select Elite vs Mini Elite vs team blah, blah, blah.
  4. I agree, this episode was boring. I barely looked up at the TV from what I was doing on my computer. Only two things popped out at me... 1) Jill proclaiming Kendall's confidence has been damaged by Abby's abusive teaching style. Ya think? That Jill... she's sharp, only took her four years to question what that type of learning environment might be doing to her precious snowflake. Or, maybe, once again, it's just an excuse she's offering for her daughter's lack of talent. I actually agree with Abby's assessment of Kendall, (Kendall is not on this show because of her dancing, she's on this show because her mother is such a character) but I would never have any of my children spend time in that type of environment. I'm all for rules, high expectations and being strict, but it can be achieved without being cruel and abusive. 2) No matter what chaos was taking place, or who was trying to talk over the others, I could hear Jill's annoying voice. Wait, make that three things... 3) I still didn't miss Jess and Jojo, either.
  5. Am I seeing this right? ... I'm not one bit interested in watching the Todd episode so I'm not paying close attention to the little clip but they talk about his seizures, "Twelve yesterday and two so far today," and then make reference to him having one during the episode. Isn't he sitting in a wheel chair? If so, why would they try to take him out of the wheelchair and walk him off stage while having a seizure? Why wouldn't they wheel him off? Sensationalize much?
  6. Yes, (pink feather fans, burlesque-ish?) and as I said, there were a few others that I can recall. However, I always thought there was far more potential for harm to come to the girls by way of being in an abusive environment, and by the very people who should have their best interest at heart and be protecting them, choosing, instead, to engage in the chaos.
  7. I guess it's all subjective, but in the 5 years this show has been on, I've only seen a few times where the costumes were questionable or inappropriate. Although, I tend to view costumes for what they're intended for, and would be much more concerned if their street wear resembled their stage wear. I have a lot of problems with this show but I've never had the impression Abby, Lifetime or the producers have exploited the girls in a sexual manner. They, including their mothers, have really tested and pushed the limits, and crossed the line in other areas for controversy and to create a buzz, but I've never feared sexualizing the girls as a recurring theme of Dance Moms. Although danger exist, it exist everywhere. There are definitely sickos out there, and that should be everyone's concern.
  8. I, too, enjoy watching the minis more than some of the older girls. (I very much enjoy watching Kalani and Brynn dance, not so much with Nia, but I do like the kid, and Kendall, not at all.) If they want this show to continue, I think they need to continue with younger kids. Many shows, sit-coms and dramas have brought younger kids on to keep viewer interest. Where they failed though, is they should have been doing this all through the seasons so viewer attachment and interest was formed in wanting to watch the children grow and succeed. The problem with the mini team is they were all brought on about they same time, and besides being unable to keep all the "Lilies" and the "- ana's" straight, their mothers came on with such a level of anger and entitlement, they're truly unlikeable. I, too, am sick of the Elite vs Mini storyline. It is boring and it's ridiculous. Ridiculous because in the past when Abby had more dancers on her team, and especially in season 4, when she had the Elite and the Select teams, she had to divide her attention and choreograph and run just as many dance numbers. Didn't miss Jess at all. I didn't miss Jojo, either. She's a cute kid but I think her only talent is showing off. I kind of miss the old Abby, the Abby who was in control and ran her studio with a, "My way or the highway" attitude. Having a performing family, 3 daughters who studied danced for years, all 5 children performing in numerous musical theater productions, and a husband who graduated from AMDA in NYC and performs and sings for our supper, I have never known a director of any sorts willing to give up their artistic direction. The mothers and girls controlling the dance choices and choreography just doesn't ring true. That's manufactured drama and reality TV for ya!
  9. I probably shouldn't be making this observation because honestly, I haven't been all that interested in this show lately, in fact, I missed the last 3 or 4 weeks and when I tried to watch the reruns, the show barely held my interest, but I thought this episode was much more enjoyable to watch than recent weeks. Perhaps the most enjoyable of the season. There was far less screaming, bitching, nasty banter and fewer ridiculous statements in this episode than I've seen in a long time. Abby conducted herself like an actual teacher. And bonus... I liked the dances, (compared to what they've been doing lately.) The only mother that sounded absolutely ludicrous was Jessalynn, AGAIN. Talk of, "pop star, the next big thing, superstar, her brand, and Kardashians," PUH-LEEZE! Really? Do mother's even aspire for their daughter's to be like the Kardashian girls? I realize JoJo is a child, but her talking head... bad, just bad. Overuse of the word, "really" like some 80's valley girl, when she can't even pronounce her "R's" correctly, and telling us her feet and technique are good, but not perfect... Oh dear. I don't know the real reason JoJo and Jess skipped out, but what about being a team player? Wasn't Jess recently preaching to the mini mothers about being a team?
  10. I have read uniformed police in a marked car arrive at 5:59, 7 minutes after the 911 call, (logged at 5:52) went out, but that a detective, (Det. Linda Arndt) didn't arrive until 8:11.
  11. Jill and Jessalynn are ugly people, inside and out.
  12. Abby's own real life resembles a poorly written Lifetime movie, with B-list actors as the stars. Bye, Felicia!
  13. The Moms completely ruined what could have been a nice finale and farewell to Maddie and MacKenzie. The way they tried to manipulate our emotions was shameful. It didn't work and only served to annoy me. Worse yet, I wasn't buying their own sincerity. Melissa talks about the horrible behavior of Abby and the other mini moms, really Melissa? Vile doesn't even begin to describe Melissa's behavior. Holly needs to stop preaching what she believes to be morally right in situations where morality isn't in question. I hate to see Jill and Kendall suffer needlessly over missing M&M&M. I suggest they leave the show, too. A "win for them, and a "win" for the viewers. I loved the dances and thought the girls were great!
  14. This show is no longer enjoyable or entertaining. It's disturbing. I'll probably watch tomorrow but not because it's Maddie, MacKenzie and Melissa, last competition/show, (I'm not a Maddie fan or a Maddie hater) I'll watch because it's the season finale. I can't stand any of the Moms, but they were never the reason I watched the show. I tuned in for the dancing but with Maddie, Mack, Chloe and Brooke gone, the only dancers worth watching are Kalani, (getting too old for the role) and Brynn, (I'm not really invested in her yet.) Nia - I sincerely wish her the best, a great kid but not a great dancer. JoJo - cute entertainer but not a very good dancer. Kendall - I am not one bit interested in anything Kendall says or does, including her dancing. I don't know if this show has a future or if there are any plans for the future but without better dancers and new characters, I won't be tuning in to watch Jill, Kendall, Jessalyn, Kira, and Ashlee.
  15. LMAO Mackenzie, while still a cute kid, is looking more and more like her mother. Jessalyn... with that, "who farted," look on her face, and the vile comments that come out of her mouth, is truly is an ugly person. With what they were given, the girls performed their numbers well, but the choreography was littered with moves other than hip hop.
  16. I've read Michael Jackson started wearing the glove to hide his skin condition which started on his hand. My husband, who is a singer, swears he wore the glove to protect himself from germs... everyone shakes their hand when meeting or congratulating them, possibly spreading germs. All the singers I know are germophobes and are constantly washing their hands. If they get sick, they can't sing. Jill and Kendall, queens of YAGE, (as it is known on some forums) Yet Another Grand Exit. I get removing your child from certain situations to protect them, but what's the point, if you're only going to return without having changed or solved anything. There really isn't much to like about Kendall. Not her dancing, not the way she conducts herself, not her mother. Jill and Kendall expect everyone to tippy-toe around her. Jill is making a huge parenting mistake... she wants to prepare the path for the child, rather than to prepare the child for the path. As Kendall's mother, she should show the same concern for her child, that she expects others to have for Kendall, and a good place to start would be by getting her off this show, clearly it's not good for Kendall's emotional well-being. And honestly, I think their interest and concern about Maddie leaving the show is purely for selfish reasons. I think they're afraid without Maddie, the show won't continue much longer and it will be the end of the road for them. A mother should be her child's biggest fan, but there is something seriously alarming about Melissa. Sarah has grown a lot. Her mother, however, hasn't changed at all. Yuck.
  17. I want to add... I read "K," just the letter "K." is Kendall's middle name. Her parents used the letter K to honor Jill's two niece's. So maybe when Jill addresses her as Kendall K., she is just using her first and middle names, and not using her stage name? Regardless, I can't stand Jill, and have never been a fan of Kendall's, either.
  18. According to Merv Griffin's "Large Head Theory," Maddie will do just fine. The camera loves them, and people tend to, too. I think Maddie is a very pretty girl, and with her large face and features, her expressions are easily seen on stage.
  19. I was raised not to take any crap either, and I have tried to raise my 5 children to stand up for themselves when need be, but I think the problem in this scenario is Jill is behaving in the same exact way, or worse than Ashlee, yet Jill and Kendall won't acknowledge their behavior or any part in it and instead, choose to play the victim.
  20. I got the impression, (from her talking head) that Kendall thinks that everyone is behind her, supporting her, just waiting and cheering for her to stand up to Ashlee. Kendall is as delusional as her mother.
  21. "We're role models." Hahahaha, that's a knee slapper.
  22. Every time I see the title of this episode, (not just this thread) I can't help but think it was an intentional play on words meant to sound like, "Debbie Does Dallas," which is not cool since it's a show involving pre-teens and teens.
  23. Yes, that's always a possibility and I try to keep editing in mind while watching, along with producer manufactured fake drama. Speaking of fake drama, I have read the powers-that-be set the scene and tell them what to fight and argue about but I believe some of what comes out of their mouths are their own words and thoughts. And with that said... Jill has taken it entirely too far this season and is showing her true colors. Also, Collins Avenue is the organizer of Xpression Dance Competition.
  24. Yes, Jill is a total bitch. She's making the show uncomfortable to watch. I realize it's all about the drama, but an adult campaigning against a little girl takes crazy stage Mom to a new level of scary. Ashlee is annoying, always talking Brynn up and stating her opinions but I don't recall her being down right mean to the children. Since Jill is hell-bent on Kendall riding Maddie's shirttail, I hope when Maddie leaves she takes her best friends' mother with her. Jessa loves to stir the pot, the last few weeks with Ashlee and this week with Kira. I really don't know what her motivation is, unless it's to get more air time for herself, but it would be wise for her to not make waves. JoJo is an adorable, likable kid, but she has never produced great results for the team. Jessa should try to fly under the radar the way her daughter does. I would suggest they seek stardom through another venue, such as acting, but I fear she might be getting to old for the cutesy baby talk to actually be cast in a speaking role in a movie or series. Holly and Nia - I felt bad for Nia, and, yes, the entertainment industry is very much like the real world were jobs and roles can be acquired a number of different ways... talent, looks, luck, favors and connections, etc., but you can't expect, and are not guaranteed anything, especially when it comes to a competition. I also felt bad for Kira, and I don't even like her. If Melissa was stressed with having guardianship of Kalani, she needed to tell Kira, not the other mothers. I wish at least the girls had hugged and congratulated Brynn when she made the team and Abby gave her the jacket. If the did, I missed it.
