  1. Thanks for the intel! Dr. O's got a good voice and Milo a good body, so I'm totally down with them having their own acts. I'm iffy on the other "singers". I really hope the ball will be a more joyous occasion than the 51st anniversary turned out to be.
  2. Any idea when the Nurses Ball episode(s) hit the airwaves? I've heard rumblings about it being "the day after" AJ's funeral, but the spoilers for next week (which centers on the funeral) make no mention of the ball. I'm really looking forward to it; any confirmation on who's performing what? I saw BTS pics of: Sam, Molly, Kiki, Lulu, Maxie, Michael, Lucas, Nathan, Milo, Felix, TJ.
  3. Ridge is in desperate need of another recast if he's going to be on the show long-term. Thorsten Kaye simply is not working. My mind boggles that we're supposed to buy this dimunitive, schlubby guy as Ridge. IMO, Brad Bell should have had a temporary recast (maybe Lane Davies, who briefly played Ridge in the early '90s) when Stephanie was dying, and then written Ridge off as being unable to face life in L.A. without his beloved mother. Well, he missed that boat and now Ridge is back, but Kaye is not cutting it. I would support John Enos - his Italian heritage works since they're playing up Ridge's Marone paternity; he is after all half-Italian. And that would work to bring in Peter Porte as a Thomas recast too - that guy is great eye candy. I would really like to see a Nick Marone recast, but can't think who it could be. Anyone think of some hot blond actor? The only one who seems to come to mind is the guy from Baywatch, LOL! Nick is still my ideal pairing for Brooke, so bringing him back (and their son Jack) would be great. It is beyond time to SORAS RJ into his teens. With his parentage, I expect him to be drop-dead gorgeous and hit on anyone with a pulse. I quite liked Rob Gorrie from OLTL but he may be a little old. Too bad Andrew Trischitta couldn't act, otherwise he would be a good fit (cute, nice body, can still pass for a teen, Italian heritage). Maybe he's taken acting classes on the West Coast. I'd even root for Chandler Massey if he's learned to stop mugging, if not for the fact that RJ has been portrayed as the only one of Brooke's kids who's not blond. Or maybe Rob G could play a recast Eric Forrester III. That might give Ric and Caroline some drama if she finds out he was once a teen dad, and it would tie in to Deacon's return too. Is he too old to be Jacob Young's son? Ric was only 16 when he was born IIRC.
  4. Yes I think it's bad to hope the show is cancelled. There are still plenty of people watching this show and I for one would like to keep it going. If you can't bear what the show has turned into, kindly flip the channel/switch off the TV/cancel your DVR subscription and let the rest of us continue to follow our show. I'm not thrilled with the direction the show has taken either but I will continue watching. I don't want to say goodbye to beloved characters or find my favourite actors out of a job or witness the death of the soap opera genre. I will always be a fan.
  5. Hi folks! So these are the new digs eh? Gonna take some getting used to. R.J. was so keen on his parents remarrying that Brooke didn't even want to tell him about the nuptials that weren't? I hate how it's now gospel that Brooke treats her children either as an afterthought or as bait for her man du jour. Back in the day Brooke cared deeply for her kids. Yes she didn't always put them first but she was an involved parent, and she sought their blessing for her various marriages. I don't what caused the shift but suddenly the B&B set was turned into a no-kids zone and the characters with young children (primarily Brooke) really suffered for it. Tridge and their 3 kids are always held up as a golden standard, but IMO Brooke (whether with Ridge or Nick) used to be shown frequently with Rick, Bridget and Hope when they were little kids. Hope may have been rapidly aged from the Pace twins to Kim Matula, but in the interim she was supposed to have lived with Brooke (although not seen onscreen). RJ and Jack, on the other hand, were packed off - one to boarding school and the other to live with Nick, wherever he is - until RJ's recent return. RJ is way too young to be sent by himself to a boarding school on another continent. It just makes Brooke (and Ridge, who didn't go to join him until recently) look like they lack any parental compassion, especially for their self-professed "miracle child".
  6. Alrighty then, here we are again! Still hoping for a reprieve for AJ, and for Cojones.
