I know the narrative reasons behind it, of course, but it annoyed the crap out of how the show wanted us to think that Wiley who was a BABY at the time of the reveal never had any trauma from being taken away from the only two parents he knew and sent to live with who was essentially a stranger to him.

taps microphone for @Magog Detroit had the ball up one with seventeen seconds left, turned the ball over twice in the last twelve seconds, New York made a layup and Detroit fouled him. NY missed the FT but got the rebound and Detroit fouled again. NY made 1/2 that time. End result: Detroit loses by two.

What interesting timing that Carly gets the "moral victory" in quitting Crimson and dumping Drew in 3...2...1 just in time for the twin she always wanted to return.
-
Detroit's current record: 8-46. That equals 54 games. They'd have to go 2-26 the rest of the way to stay at only 10 wins. You think they can do it?

Flower will be back somehow, she isn't gone for good. Sheila Carrasco had her baby in November and filming for this season started back in December. TPTB aren't going to throw a kamikaze on their hit show by creating a set of circumstances where Sheila could convincingly claim she was fired for getting pregnant. (Hunter Tylo had a similar-ish situation back in the day when she was fired from Melrose Place. She sued Aaron Spelling and won four million dollars in damages.) Especially considering another actress in the cast is currently pregnant. Sam and Jay never checked outside Woodstone from what we saw onscreen, they ran through a few rooms on the main level and took the other ghosts at their roll-call word: Crash said he checked the attic and saw Stephanie asleep, Nigel said he was in the shed checking on the other British ghosts and the basement ghosts came upstairs to show they were accounted for. We have to take Crash and Nigel at their word that Stephanie, Ralph, Baxter and Jenkins are still here on the property. Even if Flower isn't in the house, she might be lost in the woods after wandering away from the group during Walking Club (maybe you need a buddy system for Walking Club, Pete! :p) or at the property line chasing butterflies. I don't know what motive Crash and/or Nigel would even have for lying, but we do have to consider the option. Both of them are known for trying to make trouble. (Crash with Flower specifically and Nigel with Hetty.) The basement ghosts served their purpose at the end talking about how Flower came down to the basement sometimes to talk, but a little of them goes a long way, TBH. Nancy's ongoing battle with the other basement ghost on pine wood versus not-pine cracks me up every time, LOL. Trevor being super-possessive of Sam/Jay the entire episode was weirdly sweet. ("They're ours!") Like he didn't want the out-of-town cousins getting any attention from Mom and Dad :p. Also loved his annoying-little-brother shit-eating grin when he saw that Jay was annoyed he was still here :). Of course Pete would set up a buddy system for the rare chance that one of them were to be sucked off. Troop leaders never lead anyone into a potentially dangerous situation without a buddy. Depending on when this system was implemented (before Trevor came along) there might have been only seven main house ghosts, an odd number. The buddy system doesn't work as well with odd numbers. Maybe Crash was included back then in that specific circumstance because more often than not his head is separated from his body? Speaking of Sam/Rose's pregnancy - they used all of the standard 'hide the pregnancy' options for Rose in one episode: standing behind the desk, jackets, flow-style shirts and/or sweaters. I wonder if Rose's pregnancy isn't one of the reasons Utkarsh/Jay was more involved with the ghost plot this week as far as taking initiative to speak to Thor and help him "move on" from Flower the owl. Upgrade Jay's role for a few episodes and give Rose/Sam a break from ghost shenanigans. Seeing the montage of Flower at the end where Flower hugged Sam and walked through her made me realize that ghost shenanigans more often than not involve physical comedy...

Diane had an entire The Reason You Suck speech to Nina about how she's an heiress and thus will always land on her feet with the type of soft landing that only money can provide. How can TPTB write all of that out and not immediately assign it to Carly? And they're changing the narrative to Nina having taken advantage of the "strain between Sonny and Carly" when Sonny came back to Port Charles to break them up. Uh, no, Carly, Michael/Joss couldn't stand it that Amnesiac! Sonny didn't hate Nina the way they did and that mattered more to them than Sonny being alive.
-
I'm not even a Sonny/Nina 'shipper (except for the part where it made Carly and Michael's head explode and still gets under their skin years later) but WTF is this where they never had a single conversation post-SEC fallout and now he's filing for divorce?

KAT scored 50 but MVP went to Dame Lillard who went 11/33 from the three-point line. Anthony Edwards had 4 points.

*blinks* Who was Golden State giving up in that hypothetical deal? Klay, Draymond, and multiple draft picks? Speaking of the Lakers, they beat Detroit last night. (Small yay. I can't ever bring myself to root for the Lakers.) I've unfortunately given up on Detroit staying at 8 wins or even tying the record with 9. Hopefully they can stay at 10.
-
Nina: "I don't understand why I continually have to pay for pointing out a crime that you and Carly have committed. I am through with the injustice and the indignity of being the pariah. I'm not going to take it lying down anymore." Good for you, Nina.

KD has the same situation with any potential statue as he does with his inevitable HOF invite. What city/team claims him? Has OKC forgiven him for how it went down when he left, or was that mostly Westbrook? Would he go in with the Warriors? It's probably safe to say Brooklyn is out for multiple reasons including that he wasn't there long enough. If he wins a ring or two in Phoenix, does that do it for him?
-
As far as trade deadlines go this one was undramatic. New York made some moves, Pat Bev got traded to Milwaukee, but Golden State and the Lakers did nothing. *Unless something gets released later, but the actual deadline passed.

@Magog. Detroit won tonight, now they are at 7 wins.

Worst Cooks In America - General Discussion

So apparently Kherington, the "stay-at-home-daughter" on Anne's team that made it to final four, is the general manager of a restaurant. -
Worst Cooks In America - General Discussion
LexieLily replied to Aethera's topic in Worst Cooks In America
Every season like clockwork when they have the "team captains leave them alone in bootcamp but secretly watch on closed-circuit TV" challenge, a lot of the cheftestants mention how easier and less stressful it is to cook in bootcamp when Anne isn't physically there to watch them and yell. Maybe that's something Anne should think about. -
Maybe it's me but if you (the general you) are a fan of the Pistons wouldn't that be worse? If you're going to have a year where you lose 28 games in a row (and promptly lose the next seven after that lone win), wouldn't you want the horrific year to be "worth something" by being the worst team of all-time? Yeah, they'll probably end up making the top ten list of worst teams (either by number of losses or winning percentage, IDK how they qualify those), but that's just a garden-variety awful team. And then if they end up with the fifth pick again (or fourth or even third), it's like, what was the point?
-
Detroit beat Oklahoma 120-104. This is not good for our 8-74 dream...
-
Lakers beat Warriors by one in double-overtime. Draymond also did this, but it was called a common foul and not a flagrant.
-
Washington did end up beating Detroit, @Magog. Kuzma had 30 and Poole 17. Detroit's record is now 5-40. 37 games until the end of the season, and they'd have to go 3-34 to end with 8 wins and get the 'worst record' all to themselves. (4-33 to end with 9 wins.) EDIT: Ha! Post jinx!
-
Wonderful job, Charlotte. Lose by seven to a Detriot team that didn't score a point for over five minutes in the fourth.
-
If we're wishing for things I'd rather the Pistons only make it to 8 wins so they have the record all to themselves. None of this tying-the-record business like they did with 28.
-
I don't actually hate the Pistons, either. I started following along this closely once they started getting close to infamy, made it to 28 losses, and now I want to see how close they can get to 28 again. Lol. I'm just sorry that Auser Thompson (#5 pick, twin of Rockets #4 pick Amen Thompson) and Marcus Sasser (former UH Cougar) are stuck on the wrong side of history.
-
Last year they had the worst record and got bumped down to fifth in the lottery. It would be the icing on the cake to be even worse this season and get bumped to fifth again. Is this year's draft even a good one? Any Wemby-like prospects? Milwaukee wins. Yay!
