  1. Lee Anne's like a cat this season. She's got a few lives left.
  2. Me too! LOL Probably many of us want to see what the judges will do on this show. I wish it was airing May 3rd instead of June 3rd. I could use something exciting NOW.
  3. I think Kitty is Debbie Gibson, too. She did that parody mock-cat-fight with Tiffany. On Pinterest, Debbie has sewing room ideas and craft room inspirations. I think it's Debbie.
  4. My first thought was the Loch Ness Monster, too. They said Val's dessert tasted good but what a fail at decorating, especially going into the final 3. I was disappointed in Tati's interpretation of a peacock and making what looked like a cupcake. I would have baked a domed cake, iced it in peacock blue, then stood up all those peacock feathers in the icing. What was Arin thinking? Blood spatter for his swans! I'm not a fan of the splatter style. Duff was right that it looked more like swan hunting season. We've seen some awesome cakes this season. I'm, surprised the 3 baker's who are usually in the top 3 made such dismal efforts. Sohrob's flamingo cake was adorable. The pink feathers, the color, the pool. Inspiring. I wanted Clinton's twist to be that the bakers had to WEAR their floaties while working. Tati still reminds me of Rosie the Riveter.
  5. For English being his second language (or maybe 3rd), Fabio has a way with English that his charm and humor shine through. I miss him, too.
  6. I don't remember what county, a guy was stopped for marijuana. He was upset because now he was going to lose his weed and he just purchased it with his stimulus money. Wow, I'm doing things like paying bills and buying food with mine. I've got to stop watching this show. It seems like everyone they stop has weed and/or a warrant. It's depressing. I have to remind myself that they put the weed and warrant stops on tv.
  7. I FLOVED when we were shown each team in their vehicle discussing their shopping strategy, trying on the other one's vest, just enjoying each other's company. Then, in contrast, we see Lee Anne and Malarkey sitting silently in their vehicle, no interaction at all. Lee Anne describing Malarkey as "a monkey on crack". It was especially funny coming from Lee Anne since she's been told she has too many ideas and needs to edit herself. I was surprised Lee Anne grabbed the entire shelf of endive. Since her team used only 1 leaf per plate, I'm thinking she took all of the endive so Eric couldn't have any. That's a dirty move and makes me think less of her. I'm glad B. Voltagio explained that he and Eric had a backup plan, even a 3rd as it might be necessary. I was sorry to see Nini and Karen go, but I was really worried that Eric and Volt were about to be eliminated. This season is tough. I like everyone who's left. When Lee Anne and her crack monkey were in the top, I knew I was going to be shocked at whomever it was. I can hardly wait until next week. A new Tom "WTF.gif" is about to be born on the internet due to Malarkey's story including Shrek's 2 D's... Donkey and Dragon.
  8. I like different types of cobbler. My favorite is making a pie crust type. Lining the dish with strips of pastry, alternating with fruit, ending up with some crust on top. With the juice of the fruit bubbling up, the crust becomes chewy and, for lack of a better word, gummy... which is a good thing. Blackberry YUM! Now I'm hungry for one.
  9. When they were on Samuel Ball's former property, Jack is digging in that trench and discovers rocks covering a void. Was anyone else thinking Jack should probably get his behind out of that trench in case it caves in? "Should I move this rock? It's covering a big hole."
  10. I was really surprised the bakers had such difficulty. This was the easiest challenge ever! I make a crumble, a crisp, a cobbler from things I have left over in my kitchen. I'm successful throwing things together, not really working hard at it, and I'm not in a baking competition. This round was a gimme but they screwed it up. That one baker put only 3 cherries in her dish. eyeroll
  11. Duff's mood this episode made me wonder if this show was being filmed while Duff was in competition against Buddy. When Duff made the criticism of piped out flowers looking like something from a grocery store, it made me think of Buddy since THAT is what he loves to do. It's so unlike Duff to be so negative. I think he's really frustrated and it spilled over into this usually fun, light-hearted show.
  12. I laughed when Malarkey was showing his ranking list of chefs. Later he tells us he doesn't want to be "a dick". I'm reminded of season 2's Sam who says "I don't want to be THAT guy" but immediately is THAT guy. I laughed even harder when Malarkey is in the bottom 3. Again. Is Malarkey this much of a dick or is he playing it up to be on camera? I think he knows he's not in the top talent, really. He has become very successful in life just being a "personality" on these shows. Keeping his name out there. Doing his schtick. He's got his silly "list" and showing the camera, etc. He's not going to win this show, but he knows what he's doing. He said it last night that he knows how to market himself. He should have chosen a better product for the EC but he gets a lot of air time being in the bottom 3. So heartwarming to see the chefs gather around Lee Anne's mom to help her. I hope she's okay. Extra points for Stephanie asking her hubby to go help Lee Anne. That's integrity and humanity you can't teach someone. I really like her for that. Good on her hubby, too. What a surprise that Jenn is gone. Not that her sauce wasn't the worst but that she's better than what she put out. I expected her to last several more weeks. Her exit was good though. More gracious than her last goodbye. She sounded at peace with it all. Thanks for posting that Nancy is doing well.
  13. Are you thinking of Jeff Dunham? I thought he was a total mismatch being a host for a show like this. What were they thinking?
  14. That's how I feel. Arin is very talented and has made some beautiful desserts. It's his manner that is annoying. If he turns his volume down a bit he might be the next Jason Smith.
  15. It might be time for the Ark to be discovered since the global pandemic. It sure makes you think. They've told us that when the searchers built the tunnel going under the money pit they heard a crash like it was a cave in, and the tunnel filled with water. So, the contents of the money pit fell, but we don't know how far. The Lagina's are coming up with water then decided to stop. Well, shouldn't they continue down a bit more to reach the bottom? I don't know if the contents would have been washed away, but I think Rick and Marty should figure there would be a water void before reaching any valuables. They might be giving up a few feet too early. On a side note, this season has lasted longer than usual. At least that's what it seems like. I'm not complaining. I don't have anything else on Tuesday nights to watch so I leave it on the Lagina boys as background while I'm working. It was mentioned in last night's episode that winter is coming. I figure the season finale is coming soon.
  16. I'm kind of surprised this show came and went so fast. These type of competition shows are usually drawn out so long that I get tired of it. TOC came on fast and boom, it's over. When they bring it back, they should consider more brackets or only showcasing 2 battles in an hour format. They've got tons more chefs that I wouldn't mind seeing again.
  17. ITA. Those first years Guy was another bobble-head talking to us about how great he thinks he is. Fast forward to GGG and I like him now and I like the show. He showcases other people, sharing the camera and wanting to show people at their best. That's what I appreciate about him now. Everyone comes out in a positive way. It's fun, lighthearted, with some silly thrown in. We got introduced to people like Carl Ruiz and Aaron May. I like some of the switchups, too, like when some of the judges are cooking one round then Guy switches the roles and the other judges are now cooking. The "cooking for charity" events and "watch your favorite personalities lose their cool" shows the best. I do think that ICAG is jealous of Guy's popularity. Alex's Supermarket show screams copy cat to try and make her as well liked as Guy. It's just not working for her.
  18. YES. It seems like Clinton is spending a lot of time talking to Arin over the other bakers. I was waiting for Clinton to ask him out. BWAH! Arin might win and they will bring him back as a judge for years to come. Critiquing someone's dessert... "your garden cake didn't have enough dirt on it, so here's some... your cake looks like Minnie Pearl's old hat!"
  19. Thanks for the info. That is sad. I'm still remembering Guy losing his friend, Carl Ruiz.
  20. I just finished watching the episode "Round One Continues" again. I looked up at the screen at the end of the show in time to see a "In Memory Of" screen. Did anyone else see that and who is mentioned? I don't remember seeing that the first time I watched it. Did they just add that? Did someone else pass away?
  21. Giada Entertains? Really? That's the only show on that list that I turn the channel immediately.
  22. Simon Majumdar has never heard of zoodles before? Zoodles have been a thing for years now. I am surprised.
  23. ITA I stopped watching WWHL years ago. The only reason I didn't change the channel is Padma, Gail, and Tom were the guests. It was entertaining with the 3 of them.
  24. I was excited when I first saw the "All-Stars" description. There are a few people I expected to be on again but they aren't there. Not so excited to see Jenn again. I liked Lee Anne in her season. I was very surprised though that she didn't oil the grill first before placing her fish on it. Then, she pours oil on it afterward but the oil is going into the fire. Not smart. As Tom put it "that's a rookie mistake". I like Lee Anne but if she's not going to bring her A-Game I need to prepare for her elimination earlier than expected. I liked Bryan Voltaggio the first time around. I already expect him to do well this season, I hope he doesn't disappoint. But, what the hey was he doing in the mise en place? He couldn't do the artichokes correctly that many times? Already tipping the annoying meter. I'm glad he's not standing in the shadow of his brother Michael this time, but he needs to get serious, focus, and execute. It's always good to see Marcus Samuelsson. More of him! After the show I watched Padma, Gail, and Tom, on with Andy Cohen. They mentioned that Brian Malarkey is probably the most successful of all the cheftestants. Brian had many restaurants and sold them all. He was also on The Taste. He has changed quite a bit from when he was first on Top Chef. He's got a lot of mileage and experience on him. It will be interesting to see his progression this season.
