I think our general rule is "If you know where the bowls/glasses/plates go in our house, you don't count as a fancy guest and you should probably offer to help with the dishes." I feel like Lauren's getting a bad hand here- they were probably talking for an hour before she mentioned her building, but they make it seem like it's all she can think about. Also, Anthony was the one who said "No more 100% Italian" which means "Our kids won't be 100% Italian" which means he invited that line of discussion, yet it was made to seem like he was getting pressured by her sister/BIL to have kids. There are plenty of people who would kill to have a present SIL/BIL (especially when the kids do come along, it's awesome to have reliable babysitters built into your family, and cousins are the best)-- I think Anthony's just being possessive about his new wife. That insecurity could push Ashley right out of the enchanted forest.

I'm sad to think we've seen the last of the talented actor playing young Einstein. Geoffrey Rush is just so... GeoffreyRush-y.

There's nothing in Wednesday's first scene with Shadow that makes it clear he's Odin (to anyone who doesn't know that Wednesday is named for Odin.) A strange-talking man saying "What day is it?" "Today's my day!" ten minutes after speaking gibberish to a gate employee is not clear exposition. As with @Spaceman Spiff, I have heard of Odin... but I don't know him as Votan or Grimmir or that Wednesday is named for him or that ravens report to him. If TPTB didn't intend to play coy with Wednesday's identity until Lemon Scented You's unicorn missile scene, they didn't do a good job.

Romans 8:23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. John 8:23 But he continued, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Matthew 8:23 And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. Well that was useless.

See, and I believe that if you need to Google it, the show is being coy in their exposition.

I don't think the average viewer is going to see a few ravens and say "Odin!" For example- my Norse mythology knowledge is limited to Loki, and I don't know that I'd recognize any symbollism pointed at him unless he was played by Tom Hiddleston.

I just got sad thinking Glory might be in this game and I'm not her.

S01.E03: Champs vs. Pros: Watch out for the Wolfpack
Drogo replied to OnceSane's topic in The Challenge
Not a fan of Lolo, but I hope she tells Lindsay to kick rocks. The time to volunteer isn't when the competitors are already lined up and everyone knows what the contest is. Not sure why Wes is telling her not to take the offer, though - a Lolo/Lindsay elimination benefits the Champs more than a Lolo/Tia. -
I only noticed they were smaller during those wide shots carrying the gurney-- their faces looked like everyone else's.

"You're a person. I know people. Everything about all of them. You have a name. Shadow Moon. You have a blood type and a recurring nightmare. B-positive and an orchard of bones. You prefer Swiss to cheddar and can't abide the tines of two forks touching." -Mr. World "Full-color pinup to film legend to murdered. Oh, don't believe what they say about an accidental overdose. Last thing I saw from the floor of my Brentwood bungalow was a CIA spook jabbing a needle into my eyeball, lest I tell Kennedy tales unwanted." -Media Laura: "Hi, puppy." Shadow: "Hey... baby. The fuck you doing here?"

I think it killed the shaman, and the two elders once it was clear they weren't interested in abandoning their old god. The four kids/teens(?) were spared- the old god hadn't done much for them so he was easily forgotten and the new one adopted once the new one provided food. A parallel for how the current youth could easily forget some old gods for technology and television?
